| Mr. Fielding has experience working in the U.S. and Central America on project management reporting, environmental monitoring and evaluation, rapid rural assessments, strategic planning, proposal writing, presentations and workshop planning and coordination. He has research, training and/or experience in the following areas: Natural Resource Management Integrated Watershed Management Protected Areas Management Sustainable Agroforestry and Agroecology Integrated Renewable Energy Community Based Eco-tourism Community Capacity Building and Environmental Service Payment Systems Geographic Information Systems Global Positioning Systems Aerial Photo and Satellite Imagery Analysis Environmental Planning: CEQA/NEPA Environmental Significance Thresholds Ecology and Management of Lakes and Reservoirs Transportation Planning & Fundamentals of Traffic Engineering His experience includes working for government agencies, environmental consulting companies, environmental non-profit and conservation organizations and international development agencies including: the U.S. Park and Forest Service, United Nations Development Programme-GEF, U.S. Peace Corps, Catholic Relief Services and Wildlife Conservation Society, EIP Associates, the San Francisco Planning Department's Major Environmental Analysis Division. Currently he works as a Transportation Planner with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency Planning and Development Division. He recently worked on the team that wrote the agency's Climate Action Plan. In addition, Mr. Fielding is trained in environmental policy analysis, science and research linking and integrating the protection of biodiversity, watersheds and natural resources to policies and strategies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote the use of alternative renewable energy for sustainable development. |
