The other one!

Not a good thing! It just kinda made the board like a smaller board. The kick was too fast. It made the tail a little longer, but not a good thing at all. I'd put the back truck back in it's original holes. I'm probably gonna retire this deck for now. I'd only invested $8 bucks for the grip. It was worth a shot to skate it and give it a go. The tail is too small. Not much to work with! Oh well! I put the trucks back on the other deck!

I wanted to be sure before I'd done this, but the tail on the deck was gettin' worn out. I'd remembered back in the 80's that a friend of mine moved his back truck up a bit. I'd gotten some advice from a pro-skater and I did it. I drilled 2 new holes and moved the back truck up. It's a little weird because the tail touches the ground faster. It may take a little to get used to.

I returned the Powell g-bones and got my money back. I wasn't too happy with them. I got my money and went to BSA and got 2 sets of wheels for almost the price of 1. I got some hot pink mini-cubic type wheels for $25 bucks. They seem to be smooth. I'd also gotten some clear longboard wheels for the custom deck. I'll have to get new bearings for them. These were $20 bucks!

The deck has very little tail left. I was planning on tryin' to move the back truck up a little so that there would be more tail. I'm still able to ollie even with a tailbone. I'm gonna use this deck until I can't ride it anymore!

I took a chance and souped up the white Kamikaze deck. I pretty much removed the black grip and replaced it with camo grip. I also painted the deck, yellow. I may paint something else on it, but I don't know. I replaced the old bearings with some Bones Reds that I'd had in my Powell G-bones. I plan to get new G-bones, green ones! We'll see. So far, the wheels seem to roll much more quietly and we'll see how it does tomorrow.

The Kamikaze deck was a lost cause.

NO GO! Grip for current board changed to new grip. Souping up current one! Extra hardware for custom. Pivot bushings don't fit. Extra bushings and trucks for spares. Cleaned bearings! Better!

I'm gonna try and salvage this other skateboard my dad sent along with the Action Sports Kamikaze. This one is also a Kamikaze deck, but it's white. The rear grip tape was removed for some reason and I tried to clean it up and put some clear grip on it. It was the leftover grip from my Powell deck.

I don't wanna invest too much money in this deck due to the fact that it's very old and the plies are splitting. The tail seems to be kinda worn out, but it had a tailbone on which I have removed. I also removed the rails.

I plan to put another paint job on the body! I'm gonna invest in new hardware which should run about $5 bucks. I'm also gonna get some pivot bushings for the trucks. The truck bushings seem to be fine. The wheels are still good. The bearings don't seem to be that great. I'm gonna probably just clean them up a bit and spray some WD-40. Other than that, it should be functional.

So the next step right now is to get the hardware. I don't know if I really want to invest in more grip. Probably won't!

I will get what I need and put this thing together. I'm gonna paint the rest of the deck tomorrow, Tuesday, April 15, 2008.

Not much tail left and plies were splitting badly!
This was a lost cause! I just pretty much souped up the current deck!
