Website Idea - Samantha Carpenter Photography

Summary - Showcase of Photography

Content - Images will be from Samantha Carpenter, text will be provided by me and Samantha Carpenter

Competition - Sanz Lena: I like that when you scroll up or down, the images scroll horizontally. Brandi Toole: I like that the bottom of the website has a stationary line-up of photos with her Instagram tag. Lieben Photography: I like how the images fade in or out when you scroll, and I like that the "about" area has lots of photos. Liller Photo: I like the blog post as a way to showcase the story of the occasion as well as the photography. I also like the bold lettering on the "about" page that relays different facts, such as the number of years she has been working as a photographer. Overall, it seems that all of these designs have little text, maximum emphasis is placed on the photos, the websites contain minimal effects, and the backgrounds are all white. Each of the styles is minimalistic.

Purpose - This site will be designed to help people see Samantha's photography and give her more publicity. It's also another way to help people who are looking for a photographer decide who they want to have take their pictures.

Desired Results - The goal of the site is to showcase Samantha's work for viewers and give them some contact information and potentially pricing information as well.

Target Audience - The audience will most likely be residents or visitors of the Southern Utah area who are wanting pictures done for family reunions, weddings and engagements, newborns, graduations, or other special occasions. Therefore, the demographic is pretty vast, but it would be adults of all ages and backgrounds who would visit the site in search of a good photographer.
