One of the only Irish live interactive DJs & F/X groups in regular rotation within Ireland, Phunk'dup takes things to a new level in a style inspired by greats such as Richie Hawtin & Underworld to name but two. This act is unique, totally underground and very much an exciting live audio & visual spectacle.

From 1 up to 3 djs and including the utilisation of extra outboard effects, samplers, drum machines and turntables when unleashed in full. the Phunk'dup name is also the title of an acclaimed club night of deep dark underground grooves.

currently the trio hold firmly established dj residencies in premier Dublin venues such as Mono ('Motion' on Fridays) and Sirens ('Seventh Heaven' on Saturdays), and 'Play' in the Tivoli Theatre, plus recent events have taken in top clubs such as Lust, Privilege, Planet Hollywood, Republica, 303, Thompson's and the Temple Of Sound. They also guest around ireland on a regular residency basis, currently holding down 11 regional rotational monthly residencies, with 3 full tours already under their belts!

Phunk'dup started in late 1998 after the successful Thursday student night 'Release' finished up in Republica earlier on in the year. They then hit the road on the student circuit appearing and touring around Ireland's venues & colleges, proving a very popular and successful full-on dance event. Recent college gigs have included TCD, UCD, Legend's & Switch as well as the unprecedented sell-out Maynooth College events, with the opening night in attracting 1,400 people!

Together the three are directors of Impulsive Music Ireland ltd., catering for currently 3 record labels, (impulsive records, ir2 & landmass), a publishing division, a dj/artist agency catering for international guest bookings, an event management & club promotion entity plus an extensive pr division. this is quite an achievement for an independent company.

To date the trio have had an double ep release out worldwide via unique distribution uk (the phunk'dup'ep, ir001 & 002, april 2000), plus a follow up to massive support on both sides of the atlantic with phunk'dup's 'phunkymagik' (ir004) and have seen premier league support from djs including Anthony Pappa, Darren Emerson & Dave Seaman. The DJact used the singles to kick off the nationwide irish club tour, with a direction to include regular uk appearances in premier underground venues. this signals a succession of single releases in 2000 and a compilation album in early 2001 from both phunk’dup, plus other artists signed to the labels. the two other labels are gearing up for a winter launch, in early 2001.
