Trip to Connecticut...a
twin story (M/f, F/f)

It was summer, and we were
excited. We were all going on a trip to Connecticut. We hadn't seen our
great-aunt and uncle in almost two years. And that had been when they came down
for Mommy and Daddy's wedding. Mommy barely knew Daddy's aunt and uncle, as she
had only met them the one time. But the way Daddy and Jenn and I raved on about
them, she knew they would get along just fine.
"C'mon, girls, it's
almost time to go. Finish your breakfast," Daddy said.
It was Saturday morning,
and he knew it would take over two hours to get there. After we finished
eating, Mommy made sure we both brushed our teeth and used the bathroom.
"Jennifer, you need to
put your pantsies on. C'mere, baby!" Mommy said.
I just rolled my eyes. I
mean, we were eight years old, and my sister still wet the bed and had lots of
daytime accidents. It was embarrassing. She had to wear these diaper-like
things. Little kids called them pull-ups. My sister called them
"pantsies". Gimme a break!
We got in the car. We had
brought lots of games and books and stuff to keep us busy. Or so Mommy thought.
We hadn't been in the car an hour, before Jenn and I started fighting.
"No, it's my turn.
Gimme!" I yelled.
"It's mine, Robin, you
have your own. Let go!" Jenn shouted.
Then Daddy shouted,
"You two had best behave, because if I have to stop this car, you're both
going to be very sorry!"
That quieted us down.
Neither of us wanted Daddy to have to stop the car. Because then we would
"get it". And I don't just mean, a smack to shut us up, but a big
bare-bottom spanking.
Then Mommy said,
"Girls, remember what I showed you before we left the house."
Oh, yeah. Mommy had shown
us the hairbrush she was putting in her purse. And it wasn't to brush her hair
with. She told us if we acted up, she would spank us with it. Now, at the age
of eight, both Jenn and I had never been spanked with a hairbrush, and we
wanted to keep it that way.
We were as good as gold the
rest of the way. We were polite with each other, shared, and played nicely.
Just think, all it took were a few good threats from our parents.
At some point, Jennifer
fell asleep. I just laid there thinking about Aunt Eve and Uncle Max's house.
If I remembered correctly, it was so cool. The house was beautiful. And in one
room, my aunt collected bells. She would let us ring each one if we were very
careful. And in the backyard, there was a walk, which led to stone steps. The
steps led down to a beautiful lake. We had only gone there once, but I
remembered it was really nice.
I guess I fell asleep,
because the next thing I knew, Daddy was telling us to wake up. We were there.
I got up and ran out of the
car into my aunt's waiting arms. She scooped me up and hugged me to her chest.
It was a little stuffy, but it felt good to be held by her. I really loved my
aunt.
Daddy came over to us and
gave Aunt Eve a big hug and kiss. She said, "Oh, it's so good to see you
again. Where's Jennifer? And Lisa?"
"Lisa is changing
Jennifer. They'll be right here," Daddy said.
Aunt Eve looked concerned.
"Oh, she still wets, huh?"
"Yeah, but the doctor
says she'll grow out of it, so we don't worry too much about it. Oh, look, here
they come now," Daddy said.
My aunt and I turned to
look. Mommy was carrying Jennifer.
Daddy ran over.
"What's the matter?"
"She's just sleepy,
doesn't want to wake up," Mommy replied.
Daddy took Jenn from Mommy.
"You should have called me, hon. Jennifer's much too heavy for you to be
carrying yourself."
"It's okay. Hello,
Aunt Eve?" she tried. "How are you?" Mommy said.
We all walked into the
house. Uncle Max was in the kitchen. I gave him a big kiss. Ouch! His face was
all scratchy. The grownups laughed.
"Come, Lisa, I'll give
you the grand tour," Uncle Max said to Mommy.
Daddy sat Jennifer down on
his lap and took the glass of lemonade Aunt Eve offered him. "You want
some, baby?" he asked my sister. She shook her head no and put her head on
Daddy's shoulder. I had a glass. It was very sweet, but I liked it that way.
Uncle Max and Mommy came
back into the kitchen. "That is some house. It's beautiful, Eva." I
looked at my aunt. She smiled. I guess that's what she told Mommy to call her.
Aunt Eve made us some
lunch. Jennifer was still acting very sleepy. Aunt Eve said to Daddy, "Do
you want to put her down on our bed? That way she can sleep a little
longer."
Daddy asked Jennifer,
"You want to, sweetie?"
"No, Daddy, I'm okay.
I'm hungry," Jenn said.
We all ate the sandwiches
Aunt Eve made. She had bought every cold cut known to man. Jenn and I both had
bologna and cheese sandwiches. It was our favorite.
After lunch, I asked Aunt
Eve if she would take us down to the lake.
"Oh, I don't know.
Those stone steps are very slippery. Maybe it isn't such a good idea," she
said.
"Oh, please!"
Jenn begged.
"I would like to see
the lake, too," Mommy said. "If the steps are too slippery, we'll
come back."
"Okay, let's go,"
Aunt Eve said. "You boys be good!" Aunt Eve winked at Uncle Max and
Daddy.
"Have fun, girls, be
good!" Daddy said.
"We will!" we
both yelled back.
I held Aunt Eve's hand, and
Jenn held Mommy's hand going down the steps. It wasn't slippery at all and I
said so.
"Well, sometimes they are.
And I'm not getting any younger, you know!" Aunt Eve said. It's funny how
older people always seem to say that stuff.
When we got to the bottom,
we couldn't believe our eyes. It was more beautiful then I remembered. There
was a small lake, with a path running around it. We could hear birds chirping,
and I saw some butterflies. It was amazing, like an island paradise.
"It's beautiful,
Eva," Mommy said.
Jennifer and I started to
run. "Don't go too far," Aunt Eve said. "Stay where we can see
you, girls!"
But Jenn and I kept
running. "Robin! Jennifer!" Mommy yelled.
We both stopped. "Did
you hear what your aunt just said?" Mommy cautioned.
"Yes, Mommy!"
Jenn said. "I heard, Mommy!" I whined. Mommy just gave me a
disapproving look.
Jenn and I continued to
run. We stopped to smell flowers, and picked up rocks and threw them into the
lake. It was so much fun. Mommy and Aunt Eve just sat down on a bench by the
water's edge and watched us. It wasn't such a big lake. We could see right
across to the other side, but it was still beautiful.
"Look, Robin,
ducks!" Jenn called.
I ran over to where my
sister was pointing. "Cool!" I said. "Can we feed them, Aunt
Eve?" I asked.
"Maybe tomorrow. We
didn't bring any bread with us. You can play for a few more minutes, and then
we have to go back up. Your father and uncle will wonder what's been keeping
us," Aunt Eve said.
"Oh! Do we have
to?" Jennifer whined.
"Yes, you heard your
aunt, go play for a few more minutes," Mommy said.
Jennifer came over to where
I was sitting by the edge of the lake. I had to go to the bathroom but didn't
want to say anything. I figured the longer I could hold it in, the better. We
would be going back soon anyway.
Jennifer sat down next to
me. "What do you want to do now, Robin?" Jenn asked. Then she looked
at my face. "What's the matter?"
I had wet my pants. I
couldn't believe I had done it. I was always making fun of my sister, now I had
done the one thing she always did. I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to
tell Mommy. I figured she would be mad. Then I had an idea.
I reached for something in
the lake. "Hey, Jenn, what is that? Help me get it!" I said.
She looked. "What?
Robin, what do you want?" she asked.
I leaned far enough into
the water that I knew I would get wet. Suddenly, I was completely wet.
"Mommy! Robin fell in
the lake!" Jenn yelled.
My mother and aunt came
running over. Mommy pulled me out. "Are you okay? Robin, are you all
right?"
"Yeah, I'm okay. Just
wet," I said. Oh, yes! It had worked. Now they would never know I had wet
my pants.
"We'd better get this
one up to the house, and into some dry clothes. Come on!" Aunt Eve said.
Slowly, we walked back up
the stone steps. I knew my sister was mad at me, for cutting our trip to the
lake short. I was a little mad at myself, too, but also glad that my secret had
gone unnoticed.
Daddy and Uncle Max saw
through the window that we were approaching. They came out to meet us.
"Hey, what happened to
you?" Daddy asked when he saw how wet I was.
"I fell in the lake,
Daddy," I said.
"How'd you do
that?" he asked.
Jennifer said, "She
was trying to reach something in the lake and she just fell in."
I was grateful for my
sister. Unbeknownst to her, she was helping my lie along.
Uncle Max said, "You
should have told me you wanted to go swimming. I would have taken you. Of
course, I would have told you to put your bathing suit on first." We all
had a good laugh at that one!
Aunt Eve ran me a bath. I
was in the tub when there was a knock at the door. "Come in!" I
yelled.
It was Jennifer.
"Hi," she said.
"Hi," I answered.
"I know your secret,
Robin," Jenn said quietly.
I was shocked. "What
do you mean?" I asked innocently.
"I know why you FELL
in the lake! You didn't really fall. You were trying to cover up that you wet
your pants. I saw, Robin, so don't even try to say you didn't!" Jenn said
loudly.
"Okay, shh! Don't say
it so loud. Okay, so I did. Please don't tell!" I begged.
Jennifer pretended to think
about if for a minute. Then she said, "All right, I won't say anything.
But you better not make fun of me next time I do it. 'Cause if you do, I'll
tell Mommy and Daddy." Then she added, "And Aunt Eve and Uncle
Max!"
"No, don't! I won't, I
promise, Jennifer!" I stated.
~~~~~~~~~
A little later, Jennifer
and I were playing in the backyard. Every so often, Aunt Eve would look out the
window and check up on us.
We were laying on our backs
looking up at the clouds. "You know what I wish?" I asked my sister.
"What?" Jenn asked.
"I wish we could go
back down to the lake and walk around that path," I said dreamily.
Jennifer sat up.
"Well, why don't we?" she asked.
I sat up, too. "What
do you mean? Right now?" I asked incredulously.
"Yeah, why not? C'mon,
let's do it, it'll be fun!" Jenn said enthusiastically. She jumped up and
started to pull me up.
"But what about . .
.?" I started to say, but Jennifer cut me off.
"For once in your
life, Robin, don't say it out loud. Let's just do it. C'mon!" she said.
I don't know why I let her
talk me into it, but she just made it sound so great. "Okay, let's do
it!" I said.
We ran to the path that led
to the stone steps. I only looked back once. Then we proceeded down the stone
steps. I was glad they weren't slippery.
Once down by the lake, it
was great! We both felt so free. We could run around, do what we wanted. There
was no one there to yell at us or caution us or anything. It was the best
feeling ever.
"C'mon, Robin, let's
see where that path takes us," Jennifer said.
I followed my sister. All
the path did was wind around the lake. It was pretty, though, with trees and
lots of flowers. I thought about picking some flowers for my aunt, but then I
knew that wouldn't be a good idea. Jenn and I were hoping we'd be back before
anyone knew we were gone.
Suddenly I stopped.
"What is it, Robin? Another squirrel?" Jenn asked.
I shook my head. I couldn't
speak. There on the path in front of us, was a cute little brown rabbit.
"It's a bunny, Jenn. I love bunnies!"
Jennifer looked at the
rabbit. "Oh, he's so cute!"
She crouched down.
"Here, bunny, here, bunny, bunny," she said.
I joined her on the ground.
I joined her in calling the bunny. Were we stupid or what? We really believed
that this wild rabbit would come to us when we called.
I took a step toward it,
and it actually ran toward me. I put my hand out to pet it. It was so soft.
Then I felt something. "OUCH!" I yelled.
"What's the matter,
Robin? What is it?" Jenn said. She was very concerned.
"I think it just bit
me. Stupid rabbit!" I said.
"Let me see,"
Jenn said, "Are you all right?"
I showed my sister my hand.
It was just a little nick. It only hurt for a minute. "It's just a
scratch. Don't worry about it," I said.
"Okay, well, it's
getting late. We'd better go back," Jenn said.
"Yeah," I agreed.
The rabbit biting me had put a damper on my fun anyway.
We walked back up the stone
steps. We stopped. We could hear our names.
"Oh, no! What do we
do, Jenn?" I asked scared.
"Leave it to me, I
have a plan!" Jennifer said.
Instead of taking the path
back to our aunt's backyard, we crawled through the bushes. When we came out on
the other side of the bushes, we were in my aunt's backyard.
"Daddy! Daddy!
Help!" Jennifer shouted.
"Girls, there you
are!" Daddy said. He helped pull Jenn and me out of the bushes.
"We didn't know where
you were. Lisa! Aunt Eve! Uncle Max! I found them!" Daddy called.
Everyone came running over.
They asked us a million questions. Jenn seemed to make up the story as she went
along. I just nodded and agreed with everything my sister said. Man, was she
good! I had to try not to laugh. I was also trying to keep my hand hidden. I
didn't want them to see where the rabbit had bitten me.
We all went into the house.
We had to take baths. Another one for me. Oh well! After our baths, we had to
put on our pajamas.
"But Daddy, it's only
4:30," I whined.
"It's not like you
girls are going anywhere tonight!" Mommy said.
I got scared. I thought
they knew what we did. "What do you mean, Mommy?" I asked.
"We're going to have
dinner soon, and then you'll play or watch t.v. or whatever. No one's going
anywhere else tonight," she said.
I heaved a sigh of relief.
Uncle Max barbecued for
dinner. Jenn and I each had a hot dog. We also had baked beans and corn. But
not the kind on the cob, the niblet kind. The reason I mentioned this was
because I was eating with my left hand. I'm usually a righty, but the rabbit
bit me on my right hand, and I didn't want anyone to see my hand.
Anyway, I was trying to get
all the corn on the fork with my left hand, and it wasn't working too well.
Have you ever tried to use the hand that you don't usually use? It doesn't work
too well.
"Robin, you're making
a mess. What's going on?" Mommy asked.
"Nothing," I said
glumly. I hoped no one noticed what I was doing. It was wishful thinking,
because Daddy noticed.
"Why are you using
your left hand?" Daddy asked.
"I was just trying it
out," I answered.
"Well, stop it, you're
getting food everywhere!" Daddy yelled.
"Everywhere but in her
mouth," Uncle Max joked.
"It's okay, I'm
getting the hang of it," I said.
It was even hard not to use
my right hand at all. I kept it in my lap.
"Robin, what's going
on?" Mommy repeated.
Just then, as I was trying
to push the beans onto my fork, they fell into my lap. I looked up to see if
anyone had noticed. Everyone was staring at me.
"That's it, Robin,
I've had it. Look at you, food all over the place, even on your pajamas! I want
you to switch back to your right hand, right now!" Mommy yelled.
I could tell Aunt Eve and
Uncle Max were embarrassed for me. They didn't say a word. Jennifer couldn't
even look at me. She knew why I was doing it. I continued to use my left hand
to eat.
Daddy got up from his side
of the table, and came over to me.
"Robin, why aren't you
using your right hand?" He yelled. And as he said it, he grabbed my right
hand from under the table
"OW!" I yelled
and pulled my hand away.
"What's the matter,
Robin? Did I hurt you?" Daddy asked concerned.
I gasped, realizing what I
had done. "No, it's nothing, really," I said very unconvincingly.
"You'd better show
him, Robin," my sister said.
"Show me what?"
asked my dad.
I very reluctantly showed
my father my hand.
"What's that
from?" Daddy asked.
Before I could say a word,
Jennifer said, "It's just a scratch. From a tree in the backyard."
"Yeah!" I agreed.
While Daddy was inspecting
my hand, Uncle Max came over to take a closer look. "That doesn't look
like a scratch. It looks like a bite. You weren't bitten by a squirrel, were
you?" he asked.
"No," I said,
"it's just a scratch."
Daddy looked at Uncle Max,
"You think she was bitten?" Then he turned to me and said,
"Robin Elizabeth, I want the truth!"
"Okay," I said,
"it was a rabbit."
"A rabbit? Where'd you
see a rabbit?" Mommy asked.
I looked at Jennifer. Of
course, looking back, if we had been smart, we would have told the truth right
then and there. But we weren't, and we didn't.
Jenn said, "Behind the
bushes, there was this little rabbit. We tried to pet it, but it nicked Robin's
hand. We didn't want to tell you."
"Yeah, we thought
you'd get mad," I added.
"Rabbits? In the
bushes? Well, I never heard of such a thing!" Aunt Eve said.
Jenn and I held our
breaths. We thought for sure that they would realize what we did. But they
didn't. We were safe, for now.
"Well, you should have
told us, Robin. This could be very dangerous. Charlie, I think we ought to
bring this child to a doctor," Uncle Max said seriously.
My blood ran cold. "A
doctor? Why? It's just a little scratch," I said.
Uncle Max pulled Daddy
aside. I thought I heard "rabid", but he must have said
"rabbit". Next thing I knew, I was being changed into clothes, and
put in the car to go downtown.
"No, Daddy, I'm fine!
I don't want to go to the doctor!" I whined.
"Robin, do as your
father tells you," Mommy warned.
Since it was a Saturday
night, the doctor's office was closed and we had to go to the Emergency Room. I
was so scared. We waited for two hours. Finally, we were brought into a cubicle
where a nurse said a doctor would be right with us. Yeah, like another hour
later. But Daddy stayed with me.
Finally, a doctor came in.
Daddy took him aside and told him what had happened. He came over and looked at
my hand.
"So, you got bitten by
a wild rabbit, huh?" he said gruffly.
I was still scared, so I
just nodded. He looked at my hand, put some cream on my cut, and put a band-aid
on it.
"You were very lucky,
young lady. The skin was not broken. But I suggest you stay away from wild
animals from now on. They might look cute, but they can be very dangerous.
Okay?" he said.
I just nodded again.
"Make sure you listen
to the doctor," Daddy said.
"I will, Daddy. Can we
go now?" I said sleepily. It had been a long day.
When we got back to Aunt
Eve and Uncle Max's house, Jennifer was already asleep. It was after 10:00 at
night and everyone had been very worried. They were glad it was nothing
serious, and everyone went to bed.
I woke up in the middle of
the night crying and sweating. I had had a bad dream. I ran into the room my
parents were staying in, and tried to wake Daddy up.
"Robin? What's the
matter, sweetie?" he asked sleepily.
"Daddy, I had a really
bad dream," I cried.
Daddy pulled me up into bed
with him. "Oh, it's okay. You want to tell me about it?" he asked.
I nodded my head.
"There was this giant rabbit near the lake and he was after me. I tried to
run, but I couldn't move. Then I woke up," I cried.
"Okay, well it was
just a dream, sweetie. I think you should go back to sleep now," Daddy
said tiredly.
"But, Daddy, you don't
understand," I cried.
"Honey, it was just a
bad dream. It's the middle of the night, and everyone's tired, we'll talk about
it in the morning," Daddy said as he carried me back to the room Jenn and
I were sleeping in.
"But, Daddy, Jenn and
I were down by the lake. That's where I saw the rabbit!" I said aloud.
But Daddy didn't hear me.
He was too tired. "Shhh! Sweetheart, go to sleep. We'll talk in the
morning. Daddy's very tired. It's been a very long day. Go to sleep!"
Daddy said as he tucked me back into bed. Then he left the room. I think I fell
asleep the second my head hit the pillow.
~~~~~~~~
I woke in the morning to
the smell of pancakes and sausage. "Mmmmm, pancakes! Jenn, wake up,
there's pancakes," I said while shaking Jennifer awake.
We both walked into the
kitchen. There was Aunt Eve standing in the kitchen making breakfast. Uncle Max
was sitting at the kitchen table reading the newspaper.
I looked around. "Um,
where's Mommy and Daddy?" I asked.
Jenn said sleepily,
"Yeah, aren't they gonna have pancakes, too?"
Aunt Eve laughed. "You
parents have had their breakfast already. They went for a walk. Come, sit down,
I'll fix you a plate."
"I'm too tired to
eat," my sister said.
Uncle Max looked at
Jennifer, "Why are you up, then? You could have slept a little more."
Jennifer looked at me.
"Robin woke me to have pancakes!" she said.
So we both sat down at the
kitchen table and ate. The pancakes were very good, as was the sausage. We
never had sausage at home.
After breakfast, Jenn and I
sat on the living room floor watching cartoons. Mommy and Daddy came into the
room.
"Good morning,
girls!" Daddy said.
"Hey, sleepyheads!"
said Mommy.
Jenn and I got up to give
our parents hugs.
Aunt Eve came into the
room. "Um, do you all mind if we go do some errands?"
"Of course not, Aunt
Eve, we'll be here a few days. We don't want to keep you two from what you need
to do!" Daddy said.
"Okay, well, we'll be
home long before lunch. See you later!" Aunt Eve said, kissing me and Jenn
before she and Uncle Max left.
Mommy went over and turned
off the t.v. "Girls, we have to talk. Come sit here on the couch with
us," she said.
Jenn and I looked at each
other and then went and joined our parents on the couch.
"Girls, your mother
and I took a nice long walk this morning. And I got to thinking about the
rabbit in the bushes, and I wanted to check it out," Daddy said. "And
you know what, I don't think it happened exactly the way you told it."
We didn't say anything.
"Did it?" Daddy
asked.
"Why do you say that,
Daddy?" Jennifer asked.
Daddy looked at us. He
couldn't believe Jenn would ask that. Obviously, he had realized we had lied to
him.
"Well, for one thing,
on the other side of those bushes are the stone steps leading down to the lake.
So, I'm wondering where you could have seen that rabbit," Daddy said.
"Oh!" I said.
"Oh? That's all you
have to say?" Mommy asked.
"Robin, Jennifer, we
want the truth and we want it now!" Daddy said sternly.
I looked at Jennifer. It
had been her idea to go down to the lake, but I had thought of it originally. I
was too busy wondering if Daddy really had heard me in the middle of the night,
when I said we were down by the lake. But then wouldn't he have just asked me?
Hey, my dad was actually cutting me a break! He didn't want Jennifer to know I
had squealed. I kind of smiled.
"Okay, Daddy, we went
down to the lake," my sister said finally.
"You did. Why?"
Mommy asked.
"We just wanted
to," Jenn said.
"You must have known
we would not want you to go down there without an adult! I mean, Robin fell in
the lake when your mother and aunt were there. What if it had happened again?
There was no one there to help you. What you did was very bad!" Daddy said
loudly.
"You don't know what
could have happened. Robin was bitten by a rabbit. Now, granted, it wasn't
serious, but it could have been. You girls did not think about any of
this!" Mommy shouted.
Jenn and I had our heads
hung down. We knew what we did was wrong.
"I'm sorry, Mommy,
sorry, Daddy!" I said.
"Me, too. I'm really
sorry!" Jenn said.
"Sorry isn't enough,
girls. And on top of going down there without permission, you lied to us!"
Daddy said sadly.
"Twice, even!"
Mommy said.
"Twice?" I asked.
"First, when I pulled
you out of the bushes," Daddy started.
"And second, when
Daddy asked Robin what happened to her hand!" Mommy finished.
"You should have come
clean, then!" Daddy said.
I knew it! I knew it! I
knew we should have told the truth then.
"Are we gonna get a
spanking?" Jennifer asked.
What is she stupid? Of
course we were. Even I knew well enough not to ask.
Mommy and Daddy sent Jenn
and I into the other room so they could discuss our punishment. I knew it was
going to be bad; they never had to discuss anything before. Finally, they
called us back into the living room.
"You will be punished
three times, for the three times you misbehaved," Mommy said.
"Three
spankings?" I asked.
"Two spankings, and
one soap rinsing," Daddy said.
"No! That's not
fair!" I yelled.
"Oh, it's fair. You
should be glad you're not getting your mouth rinsed out with soap twice, since
you lied twice," Mommy warned.
"But why two
spankings, then?" Jenn asked.
"Because that's how we
decided you would be punished," Daddy said. "I suggest you worry more
about your little butt then about how we are raising you, do you understand,
Jennifer Lynn?"
"Yes, sir," my sister
said sadly.
Daddy looked at Mommy and
said, "I'll take Robin into the bedroom first, while you spank Jennifer
out here. Then we'll trade."
"Are you gonna use the
hairbrush, Mommy?" I heard Jenn ask timidly as Daddy was leading me out of
the room.
"No, you're very lucky
that I'm not, young lady. You wouldn't like it at all," Mommy answered.
Daddy brought me into the
room that Jenn and I were staying in. He sat down on the edge of my bed.
"Okay, let's go. Come
here!" Daddy said.
I went and stood next to
him. "I'm sorry, Daddy!" I cried. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you
the truth right away. I'll be good. Please don't spank me!"
I knew it wouldn't work,
but I had to give it a try.
"Are you only sorry
you didn't tell me the truth?" Daddy asked. "You're not sorry that
you went to the lake without permission or without an adult?"
I thought about it for a
minute. I wasn't really sorry that I had done that; I had felt so free. I would
cherish that time Jenn and I had before we saw the rabbit for years to come. Of
course, that wasn't what Daddy wanted to hear. So I lied again, but this time
for a good cause.
"Of course, I am,
Daddy! It was a stupid thing to do. Jenn and I know better!" I said. Oh,
man, was I laying it on thick. But I knew it was what Daddy wanted.
"Okay, let's go!"
Daddy said. We both could already hear Jennifer crying in the other room. I
hoped Mommy was going easy on her.
Daddy pulled down my pajama
bottoms and my panties and laid me across his lap. He started to spank fast and
hard, alternating cheeks as he spanked. It hurt a lot, but I tried not to cry
out right away. I knew there was a lot more to come. Finally, I couldn't hold
it in any longer. I started to cry and didn't stop. Daddy kept hitting and
hitting and hitting. When his hand finally stopped, I laid there sobbing.
He stood me up, and held me
to his chest.
"Robin, I know you can
be a good girl. I would like to see that good girl more often, okay?"
Daddy asked.
I nodded. I cried into
Daddy's chest for a long time. Then, having remembered something, I picked my
head up and asked, "Daddy, how come you didn't tell Jennifer that I
snitched on us last night?"
Daddy thought about what he
was going to say. "Well," he began, "I knew you two would be
punished pretty severely. I figured you would need each other, and I didn't
want Jennifer to be mad at you, too."
"Thank you,
Daddy!" I said. Then I added, "I love you."
"I love you, too,
sweetheart, now it's time for you to go out to Mommy, and send your sister in
here, okay?" Daddy asked.
"Okay," I said.
I went to the living room.
Jennifer was standing in the corner with just her pajama shirt on. Her bottom
was already fading to a light pink.
"Jenn," I said,
"Daddy's waiting for you."
Jennifer turned and walked
over to Mommy. "I'm sorry, Mommy," she said.
"I know you are,
baby," Mommy said as she hugged Jennifer. "Now go!" and she
smacked Jennifer lightly and sent her on her way. Ouch! That had to have hurt.
I went and stood next to
Mommy. Daddy had pulled my panties and pajama bottoms up before I had left the
bedroom. But it seems like I didn't really need them now. Mommy pulled them
down as soon as I was standing next to her. She even told me to step out of
them.
"You know, Robin, I
had assumed that going down to the lake was Jennifer's idea, but she told me
you were the one who thought about it. I was very surprised, little girl!"
Mommy said.
"Well, I only said I
wished we could go. Jenn was the one who said we should do it," I said
defensively.
"But you did go along
with it, didn't you?" Mommy asked.
"Yes, ma'am," I
said. Mommy always wanted to get a little more angry before she started
spanking. But afterwards, everything always was forgiven.
"Are you ready?"
Mommy asked sternly.
I nodded. Mommy pulled me
up onto her lap. I laid there staring at my aunt's carpeting. I wondered now if
my aunt and uncle knew what was about to happen and that's why they chose to do
errands at this time. All of a sudden, I felt the first smack.
"Ouch! Mommy, that
hurts!" I yelled, trying to get up.
Mommy pushed me back down.
"It's supposed to hurt, Robin, now lay down!" she said.
While Daddy had alternated
between cheeks, Mommy hit mostly in the middle of my bottom. She also moved
back to my thighs, my legs, and the spot where my bottom meets my legs. I knew
why, too. She wanted to make it difficult of me to sit later on. She wanted me
to feel this for a few days. And believe me, I would!
Finally, when I was
completely hysterical, Mommy stopped. She pulled me to my feet. But instead of
the hugging and kissing and rubbing that usually accompanied Daddy's spankings,
Mommy sent me to stand in the corner, with my really red bottom on display.
Of course, that's where I
was when Aunt Eve and Uncle Max came home. Figures!
"Oooh, it looks like
someone got their bottom warmed!" Aunt Eve exclaimed.
"More like
toasted," Mommy said chuckling.
Daddy and Jennifer came out
of the bedroom about ten minutes later. She was back in her pajamas. Mommy
called me away from the corner and helped me into mine. Jenn and I sat gingerly
on the couch next to Mommy and Daddy.
"We hope you girls
learned a good lesson here," Daddy said.
"Yes, sir," Jenn
answered, "we did."
"Yes, sir," I
echoed, "we won't ever go anywhere without permission again."
"And we won't lie
about it, if we do," Jenn said.
Then realizing what my
sister said, we all laughed. The rest of our stay in Connecticut went off
without a hitch. And it was a long time before Jennifer and I did anything like
that again. And I still always remember the great freedom we had when we were
down by that lake, by ourselves!
The end.
