Trick
or Treat...a Halloween Twin Story (M/f, F/f)
(c)1999
by Sampast
“Oh, Mommy! I don’t wanna!” Robin whined.
“Yeah, do we hafta?” said Jenn.
“Yes, you have to. Now put
your jackets on right now,” Lisa Clemente said, to her twin eight year old
daughters.
It was Halloween. Robin
was dressed as a bunny, while Jennifer was dressed as a hippie. They looked adorable! Charlie had already taken an entire roll of
film of the girls and their friends.
But now it was time to go out trick or treating. Lisa was making them wear a jacket over
their costumes, and neither of them were too happy.
“But Mommy, it’ll look stupid,” Jenn whined.
“Jennifer! No
whining! You do as your mother told
you, or you won’t even go!” Charlie said, sternly.
“But that’s not fair,” Jenn said, trying to keep the whine out of
her voice. “Whoever heard of hippies
wearing jackets over their tie dye shirts?”
“Well, maybe you’ll start a trend,” Charlie commented.
Jenn pouted, and went to get her jacket. She knew she would never be let out of the apartment without it.
Charlie looked at Robin, who had made no move to get hers. “Well?” he said.
“But Daddy, no one will see my pink bunny costume. Please!
I won’t be cold!” Robin said.
“Robin, you have to wear your a jacket. It’s 48 degrees outside today.
The weatherman said it was also very windy. Now go put it on!” Charlie said.
He was getting exasperated.
“But Daddy...” Robin began.
Charlie went over to his daughter, leaned down and looked right
into her eyes. “Robin, you have to wear
your jacket over your costume. Arguing
with me, is not helping your case any.
Now, you can go put it on right now without another word, or I will help
warm you up a different way. Do I make
myself clear?”
Robin looked at her father.
He was right. There was no point
in arguing anymore. And she definitely
did not want a spanking. She ran to get
her jacket.
Ten minutes later, both girls stood at the doorway with their
jackets on, and their little, round, plastic trick or treat pumpkins. They promised Charlie and Lisa that they
would stay with Donna’s mother at all times.
“We will, Mommy. Can we go
now?” Jenn asked, a little too impatiently.
“Jennifer Lynn!” Charlie roared.
Jenn sobbed. “I’m sorry,
Daddy. I just don’t want to keep them
waiting any longer.”
“Well, who’s fault is that, young lady? If you hadn’t argued with
your mother and me, you could have left twenty minutes ago. Now scoot, before I change my mind, and come
with you,” Charlie stated.
The girls definitely did not want their dad to accompany them
trick or treating. They felt they were
big enough to go alone, but Charlie and Lisa had insisted that an adult go with
them. When their friend, Donna, invited
the twins to go with her and her mom, the girls jumped at the chance.
After saying goodbye and hugging and kissing, and a few more
warnings, Jennifer and Robin were finally out the door. They got into the elevator and pressed L for
Lobby.
Jennifer sighed.
“Finally,” she said. “I didn’t
think we’d ever get out of there.”
“Me neither,” said Robin.
“I just wish we didn’t have to wear these stupid jackets.”
Jennifer said, “Yeah, I know.”
Then she got an idea. “Hey, I
know!” she exclaimed.
Robin turned and stared at her sister. She knew that look. “Oh
no, whatever it is, forget about it.
One of your ideas always lands us in trouble.”
Jenn shook her head. “No,
not this time. It won’t, Robin. It’s foolproof.”
The elevator got to the first floor. When the door opened, Robin started to step out, but Jenn pulled
her back.
“What are you doing, Jenn?” Robin asked. She thought her sister had flipped her lid.
“Just you watch,” Jenn said.
When the doors closed, Jenn pushed the B for Basement.
Robin stared at Jenn on the short ride to the basement. It was only one more floor down. When they got there, and the doors opened,
Jenn pulled Robin out.
Robin looked around.
“Okay, what is it, Jenn? What are we doing down here?”
Jenn smiled and took off her jacket. She went into the laundry room and hung it up on a hook left
there for that purpose. Robin stared at
her twin, wide-eyed. She finally
figured out what Jenn was up to.
Robin smiled. “You are
absolutely brilliant, Jenn.”
Robin took off her jacket and hung it on the hook next to
Jenn’s. Then they both got back into
the elevator and went to meet Donna and her mom.
~~~~~~
“Hi, Girls! Oh, don’t you
look cute, Robin,” Mrs. Messina said.
“And Jenn, you look very hip!”
The twins smiled at Donna’s mom.
She was a nice lady. Robin
looked at Donna. She was wearing one of
those stupid plastic costumes that you buy at the Five and Ten.
“Oh, that’s cute, Donna.
You’re Wonder Woman?” Robin asked.
Donna nodded. “Yep!” She seemed proud of her costume, so Robin
didn’t want to say anything.
“Okay, girls, let’s go. Do
you want to start anywhere special first?” Mrs. Messina asked.
While Donna and her mom talked about where to start, Robin and
Jenn exchanged a look. They smiled and
breathed a sigh of relief. Mrs. Messina
hadn’t asked where their jackets were.
The four of them took off.
They did all the stores in downtown Merrick and all the private houses
in the surrounding streets. On the way
back to their apartment, the twins were going to do the other apartments in the
building. Charlie and Lisa said that
they could.
And it worked out perfectly for Robin and Jenn. They could go back down to the basement,
retrieve their jackets and work their way up to their floor.
~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, back at home, Lisa was starting on dinner, and Charlie
was reading the paper and watching television.
He was enjoying the quiet afternoon.
Lisa wiped her hands on her apron and said, “There, that should be
ready by five. I set the timer. When it goes off, just turn the roast
around. Okay, hon?”
Charlie looked up from the paper.
“Where are you going, hon?”
“Down to the basement. I
have loads of wash to do. And I want to
take advantage of this time, without the twins here. They always distract me so much.
I’m going to take my book down there and really enjoy this time alone.”
Charlie smiled. He got up
and gave Lisa a giant bear hug. “I love
you, sweetheart.”
Lisa looked up, in surprise.
She hugged Charlie back. “I love
you, too, hon,” she said.
Charlie hugged Lisa tight.
“I love the way you take care of me and the girls,” he said.
“And I love doing it.”
Lisa kissed Charlie on the cheek and went to the bedroom to sort the
wash.
Fifteen minutes later, she was on her way down to the basement
with three loads of laundry, her book, and the detergent.
~~~~~~~~~~
Charlie had turned off the t.v. and was thoroughly enjoying his
own novel, when he heard STOMP STOMP outside in the hall. Lisa threw open the apartment door,
wide-eyed and a “IF LOOKS COULD KILL” expression on her face. Charlie stood up and faced her.
“Lisa, what’s the matter?” he asked, concerned.
Lisa took out from behind her back, two jackets, that looked very
similarly like the ones the twins were wearing when they left the apartment an
hour earlier.
Charlie said, “Those look like...”
Lisa cut him off. “They
are, Charlie. Those girls! I can’t believe it!”
She brought the jackets over to Charlie and showed him their names
which were carefully written inside the tag.
Charlie was angry. He put
the jackets down on the couch and went to get his own jacket.
“I’m going out to get them and I’m going to march them right
home.”
“No, Charlie!” Lisa said.
Charlie froze. “Why not?”
he asked.
“First of all, you’ll never find them. We have no idea where they went.
Besides, Debra Messina is with them.
I trust her. She’ll bring them
back in good time. And when they get
here, that’s when we’ll deal with them,” Lisa said.
Charlie stopped. He had no
idea what to do. But Lisa was
right. Merrick was a big town and he
did not know where they would be at this time.
He sat down, picked up his book, and said, “Well, I guess now we just
wait.”
Lisa sighed. “Yes, I guess
so.”
She looked at the jackets.
She didn’t know whether to hang them back up on the hooks downstairs or
leave them up here. If she brought them
back down, the girls would lie and say they had them with them all the
time. Then they would be in trouble for
lying, too. Lisa did not like to set
them up that way. She decided to keep
the jackets in the apartment. The girls
would have a more difficult time getting out of lying that way.
~~~~~~~~~~~
After several hours, Donna and Mrs. Messina decided to call it a
day. They had a costume party to attend
later that night, and had to go home and change. They dropped the twins at the door of their apartment and said
their goodbyes. The girls’ pumpkins
were overflowing with candy, and a kind woman had given them a plastic bag to
supplement their candy.
The girls walked into the building, cold and tired.
“You know, Jenn, I am beat.
I don’t even feel like trick or treating anymore. Let’s just go home,” Robin stated,
exhausted.
Jenn nodded. “I
agree. I really am tired. We must have walked four miles. And look at all this candy!” She held out her pumpkin and the supermarket
plastic bag.
“I know. There’s enough
candy in here to feed an army. Mommy
and Daddy are never gonna let us eat it all.
Come on, let’s go upstairs.”
Robin pushed the up button for the elevator.
“Wait a minute, Robin. We
have to go back down to the basement to get our jackets. Remember?” Jenn asked.
Robin slapped herself in the head. “Oh, yeah, that’s right.
I almost forgot. We’d be dead if
we showed up without them.”
The girls got into the elevator and rode silently down to the
basement. Each was thinking about all
the candy they had gotten and the cool costumes they had seen. They walked into the laundry room, reached
behind the door for their jackets, and stopped still.
Their jackets were not there.
They started looking everywhere for them. Robin checked all the washing machines, while Jenn searched all
the dryers. They checked the lost and
found. Still no jackets.
Robin looked at Jennifer.
“What are we gonna do?” she asked.
Jenn said, “I don’t know.
But they have to be around here somewhere. Maybe someone took them.”
“But why?” Robin asked.
Jennifer thought. She had
no idea why. “Well, maybe someone’s
playing a trick on us. Yeah, maybe
Billy or Sam took them to trick us.”
Robin thought about it, and she thought about Billy and Sam. They were two boys who lived in the
building, and they were always up to no good.
“I think they’re helping to set up the building’s annual Halloween
party in the rec room. Let’s go see if
they’re there,” Robin announced.
The two girls ran to the recreation room, which was also in the
basement. It was all decorated for
Halloween. There were witches, bats,
mummies, black cats, Frankenstein, spider webs, and lots more hung all around
the room. The overhead lights were off
and there were a few people hanging Halloween lights.
Jenn stood with her mouth open.
“WOW!” she said.
Suddenly, Billy was at their sides. “Hey! What’dya think?” he
asked, pointing around the room. “Me
and Sam hung up all the decorations ourselves.”
Robin nodded. “Pretty
nice. You boys did a good job.”
Jenn said, “Yeah, now tell us where our jackets are!”
Billy looked at Jenn and said, “I don’t know what you’re talking
about.”
Robin said, “No, really, Billy, enough’s enough. We really need our jackets back. We gotta get upstairs.”
Billy called Sam over and asked him if he knew what the twins were
talking about. He shook his head. He hadn’t seen any jackets, either.
Jenn said, “Robin, if they really didn’t take them, then where are
our jackets?”
Robin answered, “I don’t know, Jennifer. But I think that we are in very big trouble.”
Out of the corner of her eye, Jenn saw the clock. “Oh my god, Robin, it’s almost five. We gotta go. Remember, Mommy said she was serving dinner at five.”
Robin turned and stared at the clock. “You’re right. We assured
her we’d be home way before now. Let’s
go.”
The two girls ran back to the elevator. On the short ride up, Robin said to Jennifer, “Uh, Jenn, how’re
we gonna explain the fact that we don’t have our jackets?”
Jennifer thought about it.
“We could lie. We could tell
Mommy and Daddy that we took them off in a store and forgot about them.”
“Yeah, we could act surprised when they ask where our jackets
are. We could look around and pretend
we hadn’t noticed that we didn’t have them,” Robin said.
“Boy Robin, you’re really getting into this. And I thought I was the family liar,” Jenn
said.
Robin blushed. Soon the
elevator landed on their floor and the two girls got out, dragging their candy
along with them.
They opened the apartment door.
Lisa was setting the table.
Charlie stood at the refrigerator getting out the drinks.
“Oh, hi girls, you’re back? Did you have a good time?” their dad
asked them.
The twins exchanged glances.
They were surprised. Neither of
their parents had asked about the missing jackets. Maybe they forgot?
Robin and Jennifer put their bags on the kitchen table. “Oh, it was great. We got so much candy.
Look at all this!” Jenn exclaimed.
Lisa looked at all the candy.
“My, that is a lot. I hope you
girls didn’t eat any of it.”
“No, Mommy, only one piece.
But Mrs. Messina checked it for us.
Okay?” Robin asked.
Lisa smiled. “Okay. Well, dinner is ready. I want you girls to go wash up and change
out of your costumes. I’m going to put
the food on the table.”
“Okay,” Robin said.
“Yes, ma’am,” Jenn said.
Charlie informed the twins, “Girls, your mother was nice enough to
do your job and set the table. I think
you should thank her. And maybe you
will clear it when we’re finished.”
“Okay, Daddy,” they both said.
The girls looked at each other as they walked down the hall to
their bedroom. “Something’s going on,
Jenn. Mommy and Daddy would not just
forget about our jackets.”
“I know. And they’re being
real nice. Hmmmm!” Jenn agreed.
Robin went into their bedroom to change, while Jenn went into the
bathroom to wash off her makeup.
Suddenly, Robin was beside Jenn in the bathroom.
“Oh my god, Jenn! Come
quick!” Robin whispered real loud.
It scared Jennifer. She
looked up from the sink and said, “What? What is it, Robin? What’s the matter?”
Robin pulled Jennifer out of the bathroom door and down to the
bedroom they shared. She pulled Jenn in
and closed the door. She pointed to the
hooks on the back of their door.
“LOOK!” she told Jenn.
Jenn looked. She could not
believe her eyes. There were their
jackets, hanging on the hook on the back of their bedroom door.
Jennifer sunk onto Robin’s bed.
She held her head in her hands.
“Oh, no!” She turned to
Robin. “What’re we going to do?”
Robin stared down at Jennifer.
“I don’t know. But you told me
we wouldn’t get caught. Jenn, I think
we’ve been caught.”
“We could play dumb!” she stated.
Robin shook her head. “No,
Jenn, I think we have to face the music.
They got us and you know it.”
“Yeah, I know. You’re
right.”
The girls finished getting ready.
They took off their costumes and washed up. They both threw on a pair of sweatsuits. They knew they wouldn’t be wearing them much
longer, though.
Grudgingly they walked into the kitchen, and sat at the
table. Neither of them said a
word. Charlie noticed how white their
faces were and he and Lisa exchanged a look and a smile.
Dinner was a very quiet affair.
No one knew what to say. The
girls knew that their parents knew what they did. Charlie and Lisa knew the girls knew that they knew. They were kind of waiting to see if either
of the twins would say anything.
Finally, when everyone had finished eating, Charlie said, “Okay,
girls, you can clear off the table, and leave everything in the sink.”
The twins started to get up with their plates. Suddenly Charlie continued, “And then we
want to see both of you in the den. The
four of us have some talking to do.”
Robin looked up at her father.
Jenn froze and stared at Charlie. He nodded. They both said,
“Yes, sir.”
The girls cleared the table.
They went as slow as they possibly could. They knew there would be more than just talk when they got to the
den.
After stalling as much as possible, Robin and Jennifer walked
slowly into the den. Charlie and Lisa
were seated on the couch, waiting for the girls.
“Have a seat,” Charlie said, pointing to the couch. The twins went and sat down next to
Lisa. Charlie sat on the other side of
the girls. Not only were they caught,
but they felt like they were stuck inside a spider’s web.
They looked at their parents and Charlie and Lisa stared at
them. No one wanted to be the first to
speak. Finally, Charlie said, “Well,
what do you two have to say for yourselves?”
Robin looked at her daddy and began to cry. “I’m sorry, Daddy.”
Charlie put up his hand.
“No, Robin, don’t even start. I
don’t want to hear the sobbing. I want
to hear a reason for what you two did.”
Jenn took a deep breath, found some courage and said, “Daddy, we
have no excuse. What we did was wrong,
and we should be punished.”
You could have knocked Charlie over with a feather, he was so
surprised. He thought for sure that
Jennifer would lie or hedge and haw and make up some dumb excuse. He thought he would have to pry it out of
her to tell the truth.
Lisa looked at Jennifer and said, “Very good, young lady. I’m proud of you for admitting that what you
did was wrong.” Lisa looked at Charlie
and he nodded. She said, “Come along
with me, Jennifer. We need to talk more
in my bedroom.”
Jennifer was stunned. She
didn’t know that Charlie and Lisa had already decided to break the twins apart
for their punishments. They knew that
both twins had acted on this, but they weren’t sure who’s idea it was, although
they did have a pretty good idea that it had been Jenn’s.
Lisa took Jennifer by the hand and brought her to her
bedroom. Charlie sat facing Robin
waiting for her to speak. “Well, young
lady? Tell me what you did wrong.”
Robin took a deep breath.
“I’m sorry, Daddy. We never
should have gone out without our jackets.”
“Is that all?” Charlie said, hands on his lap, waiting. “Don’t you have anything else to say?”
Robin sobbed. “I know that
what we did was naughty. We disobeyed
you.”
“Yes, you did. You were
told to wear your jackets because it was too cold for you to be out without
them. And you purposely took them off
and left them where you didn’t think we’d find them. Didn’t you?” Charlie asked.
Robin nodded. “Yes,
Daddy.”
“Well, you know that you will be punished for this. Let’s go into your room,” Charlie said,
standing up. He reached out for Robin’s
hand and pulled her towards her bedroom.
Once there, he sat down on her desk chair and brought her to his
side. He pulled down her sweatpants and
her panties and pulled her across his lap.
“Since we already discussed what you did wrong, you do not need to
repeat it for me. But I hope this will
help you learn not to disobey me another time.”
At that, Charlie began the spanking. As he spanked, he lectured Robin.
{SMACK!} {SMACK!} “You
will not disobey me, {SMACK!} or your mother.
{SMACK!} {SMACK!} When we tell you to do something, {SMACK!} you will do
it. {SMACK!} {SMACK!} Is that
understood, {SMACK!} young lady?” {SMACK!} {SMACK!} {SMACK!}
“Oh, yes, Dadddy, pleeeeease!
OWWWWWWWW!” Robin cried.
Charlie delivered a few more well deserved spanks and then pulled
Robin to her feet. Her panties and
sweatpants had slid down to her ankles, but she didn’t care. She rubbed her bottom and danced around.
Charlie waited while Robin finished her dance and then pulled her
close to him. “Oh, sweetie, you know
Daddy hates to do that,” he said. He
pulled Robin up into his lap, so that she was kneeling on his legs and rubbed
her back and sore bottom. Robin cried
onto his shoulder as Charlie rubbed and reassured her.
“It’s okay, it’s all over now.
Daddy loves you. Shhhh,
shhhh. There, there. Okay,” Charlie soothed. Robin continued to sob as Charlie comforted
her.
~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, in the master bedroom, Lisa had pulled Jennifer’s
sweatpants and panties down to the ground.
“Step out of them. You won’t be
needing them anymore.”
“Yes, Mommy,” Jenn stated.
She knew Lisa was pretty angry about the whole day.
When Jenn was half naked, Lisa called her to her side. “Tell me what you did wrong, and tell me
who’s idea it was. And don’t lie.”
Jenn nodded. “It was my
idea, Mommy. I told Robin we should put
our jackets in the basement so we wouldn’t have to wear them.”
“I see. And why was that a
bad idea, Jennifer Lynn?” Lisa asked.
“Because you and Daddy told us we had to wear them?” Jenn asked,
rather than stated.
“And why do you think we did that, young lady?”
“Because it’s cold outside?” Jenn asked again.
Lisa nodded. “Yes, and now
if you catch a cold, you’ll know why. I
am very unhappy about this, Jennifer.
You were told to wear a jacket and as soon as you walked out that door,
you took it off and hid it. How do you
expect Daddy and I to trust you again after this stunt?”
Lisa stared down at Jennifer.
Jenn couldn’t even meet her mommy’s eyes. She knew what they had done was very wrong. “I don’t know, Mommy. I mean, I’m not sure.”
“Well, I’m not sure either, young lady. I think it’s going to take a while before Daddy and I are able to
trust you two again. We will discuss
your other punishments later. But right
now, you and I have a date over my knee.
Come here.”
Lisa patted her lap and Jenn bent over. Lisa did not lecture as she spanked, preferring instead to
concentrate at the task at hand. Jenn
cried from the first slap. Her mommy,
unlike her daddy, spanked right in the middle of the two cheeks. And she spanked hard, to boot.
After several stinging slaps, Jenn cried out, “Please, Mommy, I’m
sorrrrrrrry!”
“I’m sure you are, Jennifer.
And I intend to keep you sorry for a little bit longer.”
The spanking continued.
Jenn didn’t know how much more she could take. Next door, Robin laid on her bed, covering her ears. She could hear Jenn screaming and crying in
the room next door. She laid there,
rubbing her own bottom, deciding that it definitely was not worth it.
The girls’ absences were noted later that evening at the annual
building Halloween party. Charlie and
Lisa were there, of course, and explained to the other kids that the twins were
punished and would not be attending the party.
They were also grounded for two weeks and were not allowed out of sight,
without their jackets, buttoned and zipped.
Upstairs, Robin and Jennifer, watched t.v. with Mrs. Davis, the
old lady who lived across the hall.
They felt that was truly punishment enough. And right there and then, they vowed they would never misbehave
again.
Yeah, right. Until the
next time.
The end.
