Evil
Stepmother...a twin story (M/f)

“Is not!” screamed Robin.
“Is too!” Jenn yelled back.
“Jennifer, don’t be ridiculous,” Robin said. “Mommy is not.”
“She is too. We’re studying fairy tales and she
fits perfectly.”
“How you figure that?”
“Well, Daddy married her. She’s not our real Mommy. And she’s mean!”
Robin stared at her sister. They were standing by the flagpole waiting
for Lisa to pick them up after school on Friday. She was late, which was very unusual for her.
“She is NOT mean, Jennifer.”
“She is too!
She spanks us, doesn’t she?”
“Yeah, but Daddy spanks us too. And he’s not an evil stepfather.”
“Well, duh, that’s cuz he’s our real Daddy. Don’t you know nothing?” Jenn said.
“Yeah, I know that you’re crazy if you think Mommy
is an evil stepmother. And if you say
it to her, it will hurt her feelings, and Daddy’s too.”
“Yeah, well what do you know?” Jenn said, turning
and pouting. She knew she was
right. And she would prove it.
Just then they heard a honk, looked up and saw
Lisa pull up at the curb. Robin ran to
the car, pulled open the front door and climbed in. Jennifer walked slowly to the back door of the car, and got in.
“In the back, Robin, you know the rules,” Lisa
reminded her.
“Oh yeah,” she said, climbing over the seat.
“So girls, how was your day?” Lisa said trying to
sound bright. She had had a long day
and was in a grouchy mood. She vowed
not to let the girls see it, though.
“It was good.
I got a hundred on my spelling test, Mommy,” Robin said proudly.
“So? Big deal, Robin. You always do. Mommy,
you’re late!” Jenn said grouchily.
“Jenn!” Robin said.
“What?” Jenn said, and then whispered, “And she is
too.”
“She is not!” Robin said, turning to give Jennifer
an evil look.
“Who is what?” Lisa asked.
“Me and Jenn are having an argument over
something. It’s not that important,”
Robin said.
“I’ll tell you,” Jenn began, but Robin cut her off
and started telling Lisa more about her day.
“Fine!” Jenn said. “But I will prove it to you, you just wait, Robin.”
“Girls, I don’t know what you’re talking about,
but I don’t think I like it one bit,” Lisa scolded. “Now knock it off before one or both of you find yourselves over
my knee.”
Jennifer said, “See?”
“Shut up, Jenn,” Robin whispered.
Soon they were home and up in their
apartment. When they walked in, Lisa
set some grocery bags down on the counter.
Robin put a few down, and so did Jenn.
Jenn headed for the den. “Just a minute, Jennifer.
Where are you going?”
“I don’t got homework, Mommy, I’m going to watch
TV.”
“Oh no, you’re not. First you’re going to help me put away these groceries. Then you’re going to go clean your
room. It’s a mess! I can’t believe you two left it that
way. I want it clean before Daddy gets
home.”
“Awww, Mommy, it’s Friday. We got all weekend to do that,” Jenn
complained.
“No, you don’t,” Lisa said looking at the
clock. “You have one hour. And you’d best change that tone of voice,
young lady.”
Robin stood to the side, listening, not saying a
word. Her mommy sure was acting pretty
cranky. She didn’t want to do anything
to get herself in trouble.
“Fine!” Jenn said. She began to take things out of bags. Robin did too. It was so
quiet; you could hear a pin drop.
After the groceries were all put away, the twins
ran into the room they shared. It was a
small room and pretty crowded.
Six-year-olds had lots of stuff.
It didn’t take much for the room to become messy.
“See what I told you, Robin. Mommy IS mean.”
“Maybe she just had a bad day,” Robin
rationalized. “We have bad days
sometimes.”
“Whatever!
I’ll prove it to you. I will, I
will!”
When Charlie got home, the girls were watching
television. Their room had long since
been picked up. Lisa sat at the kitchen
table, making lists.
Charlie came in and kissed the top of Lisa’s
head. “Hi, hon. What’cha doing?” he asked.
Lisa looked up and smiled. “Making a list of things we need to get done
this weekend. I don’t understand how
these errands pile up.”
“Well, we’ll just have to do one thing at a
time. What do you say we go out tonight
for dinner?”
“Seriously?” Lisa asked.
Charlie nodded.
“You look like you need a break!”
“Oh, I do!
But what about the girls? It’ll
be difficult to find a sitter so late on a Friday.”
Charlie chuckled.
“Oh, I meant with the girls.
We’ll go get pizza or burgers or something,” he said, as he headed for
their bedroom to change.
Lisa just growled. She thought Charlie was suggesting a night on the town for just
the two of them. “Figures,” she
thought.
Jenn had been eavesdropping. She heard Lisa growl at the thought of the
girls going out with them. “See?” Jenn
said to herself. “She doesn’t even want
us around. I bet if she had a choice
she wouldn’t even have wanted us. She
probly just wanted Daddy all to herself.”
Jennifer ran through the kitchen, into her room,
and slammed the door. Lisa just looked
past her, not knowing what happened.
Charlie opened the bedroom door, and came out in
jeans and a sweatshirt. He poked his
head back into the kitchen. “What on
earth was that?” he asked.
“That would have been Jennifer. I don’t know what’s wrong with that girl!”
Lisa said.
“Well, I had better go have a talk with her,”
Charlie said.
He walked to the twins’ room and knocked on the
door. “GO AWAY!” Jenn yelled.
“Jennifer Lynn, you open this door right this
minute,” Charlie said in his stern Daddy voice.
Jenn got up off her bed, came over to the door,
and yanked it open. “Hi, Daddy,” she
said sweetly.
“Hi yourself.
Would you like to tell me what all that was about, young lady?”
“I thought you was HER!” Jenn said sourly.
“Excuse me? Her? Do you mean your sister?”
Jennifer shook her head. “Uh uh. HER!” she
repeated.
Charlie sat down on the edge of Jennifer’s bed and
pulled her close. “So you mean Mommy?”
he asked.
Jenn nodded.
“What happened, Jennifer? Are you angry with
Mommy?”
“She’s not my mommy. She’s my stepmother, and she’s evil!” Jenn said quite loudly.
Charlie was shocked. “What! Where did you hear that?”
“In school.
We’re reading Cinderella. When
the real mommy died, Cinderella’s Daddy married another woman and she was the
evil stepmother. Isn’t that what you
did, Daddy?”
Charlie sighed.
“Yes, of course, sweetie. But
your mommy is not evil. And we don’t
refer to her as your stepmother.”
“But that’s what she is! And she’s mean!” Jenn said, pouting, folding her arms across her
chest, and turning away.
“Excuse me, young lady. I expect you to look at me while we are talking,” Charlie said,
turning Jennifer around physically.
“I don’t gotta listen!” Jenn said, sticking her
upper lip out a little further.
“Well, I can see we are not getting anywhere by
talking, so I will have to try something different,” Charlie said.
Before Jennifer could react, Charlie pulled her
over his lap, pulled down her pants and panties and started to hand-spank her.
{Smack! Smack!} {Smack! Smack!}
“Owwww, Daddddddy! NOOOOOOOOOOO!” she cried, trying to put her hands back.
Charlie pushed her hands away and continued to
smack her bottom very hard.
“You will not {Smack! Smack!} call your mommy
{Smack! Smack!} an evil stepmother {Smack! Smack!}, young lady. {Smack! Smack!} That is very wrong {Smack!
Smack!}, and it’s hurtful. {Smack!
Smack!} You know better {Smack! Smack!} than that. {Smack! Smack!} I don’t want {Smack! Smack!} to hear {Smack!
Smack!} about it again. {Smack! Smack!} Is that understood?” {Smack! Smack!}
“Owwwww, Dadddddy, okaaaaaaaaaaaaay, I’m
sorrrrrrrrrrrrry! Please stop!” Jenn
cried.
“I will stop {Smack! Smack!} when I think {Smack!
Smack!} you’ve learned your lesson, {Smack! Smack!} Jennifer Lynn. You will not {Smack! Smack!} say no to
me. {Smack! Smack!} You will look at me
{Smack! Smack!} while we are talking.
{Smack! Smack!} And young lady {Smack! Smack!}, you will not {Smack!
Smack!} yell at me. {Smack! Smack!} That is absolutely {Smack! Smack!}
unacceptable!” {Smack! Smack!}
“Okaaaaaaaaaaaay, I’m sorrrrrry, I’m sorrrrrrrrry,
Daddddddddy! Stoppppppppp, it hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrtttttssssssss!”
Jenn was sobbing now. After Charlie smacked each cheek a few more times, he smacked the
middle of her bottom several times before he stopped.
He stood her up and pointed to the corner. “Go stand there and think about why Daddy
just spanked you. When you’re ready to
talk to me politely, I’ll be waiting right here.”
Solemnly, Jennifer walked to the corner. She was crying very hard and wiping at her
tears. Then she rubbed her bottom many
times. “That spanking had hurt,” she
thought to herself.
When Jenn’s tears had subsided and she was able to
catch her breath, she turned around and looked at Charlie. “I’m ready, Daddy,” she said quietly.
Charlie nodded.
“Okay, then, come over here,” he said.
Jenn half-ran, half-tripped over her pants at her
ankles as she made her way over to Charlie.
“I’m sorry, Daddy.”
He opened his arms and Jennifer ran into
them. She cried against his chest, as
he soothed her back and her bottom.
“There, there, it’s all over now.”
“I didn’t mean to hurt Mommy’s feelings,” Jenn
said. “I was just confused.”
“Well, thankfully I don’t think Mommy heard what
you called her. I don’t think this is
something we should tell her either,” Charlie said.
Jenn just nodded.
Charlie reached down and pulled up Jennifer’s
panties and pants and then lifted her onto his lap. “Sweetie, what should you do if you are confused about
something?”
“Come to you, Daddy?” Jenn asked.
“Yes, that’s right. Or you can go to Mommy.
We are both here to help you.
Both Mommy and Daddy love you and your sister very much. It doesn’t matter if she gave birth to you
or not, she still loves you very dearly.”
“Okay, Daddy.
But Daddy? Sometimes she’s mean to me, and to Robin. She yelled at me this afternoon.”
Charlie turned Jennifer to face him. “Yelled at you about what? Did you do
something?”
“Well, first me and Robin were arguing,” she
began.
“Umm hmmm,” Charlie said.
“And then I wanted to watch TV,” Jenn said.
“Okay,” Charlie said. “Why did Mommy yell then?”
“Well, we kinda left our room a mess,” Jenn
admitted.
“So she wasn’t really yelling at you, then. She was reminding you to clean up your
room...something I might add, which is part of your responsibility, isn’t it?”
“Yes, Daddy,” Jenn said. “I guess I made a mistake.”
“Well, sweetie, it’s okay to make mistakes. You will make many more, too, before you
become a grown-up. But you know that
Mommy and I will be here to correct you when you do,” Charlie explained.
Jennifer smiled.
“Yeah, I know,” she said.
“Come on, what do you say we go out for some
pizza?” Charlie asked.
Jenn’s smile turned into a frown. “Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Mommy didn’t want us to come to dinner.”
“What do you mean?” Charlie asked.
“She thought you were gonna take just her
out. That’s why I slammed my door,”
Jennifer said.
“Do we need to have a discussion about listening
to other people’s conversations, Jennifer Lynn?”
“No, sir.”
“Okay, then, you let me worry about what Mommy
thought then. Come on, let’s go!”
Charlie stood up, and took Jennifer’s hand. They went out for pizza that night: the four
of them, and had a wonderful time.
The next night, though, Charlie hired a babysitter
and took his wife out for a night on the town.
Two months later, Lisa legally adopted the twins. No one ever referred to her as an evil
stepmother again.
The end.
