In
the New House...a “Missy” story (F/f, M/f)
(c)
2001 by Sampast
(Author’s Note: This story is dedicated to my
ageplay family. I’m so glad to be back,
and that you all are back, too.)
I couldn’t believe it. We were moving. I guess that should have been a great thing. But I was sad. I mean I’ve been in my house my whole life. Okay, okay, so I’m only seven, but still. I had my special places in my house that I loved, and in the backyard, and everything.
You see Daddy got this big promotion at work and
he and Mommy decided to move to a bigger house. I saw the new house. It
is WAY COOL. It’s really big, and
there’s lots of bedrooms. It’s really
nice. And I’m gonna have my own room.
Okay, so I was a little excited. I mean I never had my own room before. Well when I was like two I did, but I don’t
remember. And Billy and Joey are gonna
have their own rooms too. Katie and
Debbie are still gonna share, but they don’t mind. And we’re gonna have a playroom in the new house too.
Billy was sad about his treehouse, cuz Mommy said
he couldn’t bring it with him. But
Daddy said they would work every weekend building a new one. Besides Daddy never had repainted it, and
Billy was getting tired of the purple and silver spirals that me and Jaz had
done.
So I guess I had mixed feelings about moving. In a way I was excited, cuz there were gonna
be more rooms and I’d have more privacy.
And in another way I was sad, cuz of what I was leaving behind.
Mommy said we could go to the wallpaper and paint
store and pick out what we liked to redecorate our rooms. I was gonna have a rainbow room. And maybe some clouds, too. I hadn’t decided yet. I knew if I let Jasmine help me pick out
wallpaper, there’d be unicorns on it.
I was gonna miss Jasmine. We’d still be in school together, but we
wouldn’t live on the same block anymore.
We weren’t moving too far, though.
Daddy said Jaz could come over anytime.
And when we were a bit older, we could ride our bikes to each other’s
houses.
We were so busy every weekend packing up
stuff. I helped Mommy as much as I
could. I put all our stuffed animals
into boxes. Except Gus. He still hadda sleep with me every night or
he would be scared.
I helped Daddy put all our games into boxes,
too. The playroom looked so sad when
all the toys were out of it. The silver
spirals on the wall looked so lonely too.
I hoped that the new people would have kids to play in the room someday.
Finally the day of the big move was here. It was so sad. I went from room to room saying goodbye. I said goodbye to the wall where I had
accidentally written on with crayon when I was five. And I said goodbye to the
kitchen floor where I had played with my high-bouncing super balls. And I said goodbye to the patio in the
backyard where me and my sisters had done chalk so often.
After the moving truck was all packed up, I walked
with Daddy through the house to make sure we hadn’t forgotten anything. When we got to the front door, and Daddy was
locking up, I started to cry.
He looked down at me. “Missy? What’s wrong, baby?”
“I’m sad, Daddy.
I’m gonna miss our house,” I explained.
“Awww,” he said, picking me up. He held me close and let me cry on his
shoulder. “I know you’ll miss this
house, baby, but we have all our memories and pictures. Plus, you are going to love our new house,
too.”
I nodded.
“I know,” I said.
Daddy led me into the minivan. Joey took one look at my face and said,
“What’s wrong with you?”
I didn’t answer him. “Well?” he said, impatiently.
“Missy’s sad to be leaving our house,” Daddy told
him. I just nodded.
“Oh brother!” Joey said.
“Yeah, it’s just a house, Missy,” Billy piped in.
“Shut up, you dummies!” I yelled.
“Melissa!” Mommy warned. “I know you’re upset, but we will have no name calling. Understand?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
We were at the new house in a matter of
minutes. After all we were still in the
same town. I looked up at the new
house. It was a colonial. It really was beautiful with its big white
columns. I took Katie’s and Debbie’s
hands and ran into the big backyard with them.
There was already a swingset there.
The people that had moved out had had three kids.
We played on the swings while the movers brought
all our furniture and boxes in. Mommy
was directing them where to put everything.
Daddy was moving in some stuff that we didn’t trust the movers
with. I thought that was pretty funny.
Billy and Joey just sat under the big tree in the
back of the backyard. That was the tree
that they were going to put their treehouse into. I could tell Billy was already bummed about not having it yet.
Finally, the movers were done, and we were allowed
to check out our new rooms. Mommy found
the box with our sheets and blankets and we all made our beds. After Mommy finished mine and went to my sisters’
room, I jumped on the bed to see if it was still fun to do.
Daddy poked his head in. “Melissa! You know better
than to jump on the bed,” he said in a warning voice.
I stopped.
I sure didn’t want to remember moving day by having had a spanking. I ran to Joey’s new room and looked around.
He was pointing things out to me. “Here is where I’m going to put my baseball
stuff and my trophies. And I’m gonna
have wallpaper with sports on it. And
here is where....”
I cut him off.
“Sports? Oh yuck!” I said.
“Well, it’s better than rainbows!” he teased.
“Why? Rainbows are fun! I like rainbows,” I said, starting to become defensive.
“Rainbows are stupid. And I can’t believe you were CRYING when we left our house. That’s stupid too.”
“NO, YOU’RE STUPID!” I yelled. I ran out of his room. I would show him. I would get him back.
It took several days to find everything that we
had packed. Within a week or so, our
rooms were coming along. That weekend,
Daddy promised we’d go to the wallpaper and paint store.
The carpeting in my new room was blue, so it was
perfect. I was gonna get rainbows on
the walls, and clouds on the ceiling.
Katie and Debbie’s carpet was pink.
That would have been too much for me.
I’m not a pink person. But
they’re little, so they like that.
They were getting Anne Geddes’ babies on the
wall. Not exactly my cup of tea, but if
they liked it, then why not! When we
got to the store, I helped them look through the wallpaper book for just the
right design. Debbie pointed to some
matching curtains and looked up at Mommy and Daddy.
“Pleeease?” she asked. Katie tugged on Daddy’s arm.
“Yeah, pleease?”
Mommy and Daddy looked at each other and then down
at the two little girls. “Oh, okay,”
they said. Everyone smiled.
Meanwhile, the boys were looking at the sports’
wallpaper books. Billy was going to get
all baseball, while Joey was going to get all different kinds of sports. I just stood staring at the rainbow page in
the book. I had picked out wallpaper
with all kinds of rainbow swirls.
While Mommy and Daddy were placing the order, me
and my sisters were looking at a rack of keychains. “Oooh, lookee Missy,” Debbie shouted, holding up an Anne Geddes
keychain. “It gots the babies on it,
just yike the wallpaper.”
“Neat,” I said.
“I want it!” Debbie said. “It gonna match me room.” She ran over to where Mommy and Daddy were
talking to the lady. I saw Mommy shake her
head and Daddy point for her to put it back.
She came back over, all sad-looking.
Katie looked at Debbie. “Dey say no?”
Debbie nodded.
Katie just said, “Oh.” “Too
bad,” I said.
Billy ran over.
“Hey, guys, look at this!”
We all looked.
He was holding a package of stars that stick to the ceiling. “When you turn out the lights, the stars
glow in the dark,” he explained.
“Coooool,” I said. “I want that.”
“Me too,” Joey said. “Let’s ask Mommy and Daddy.”
“Dey gonna say no,” Debbie said. “Dey sayed no to dis.” I looked.
She was still holding the Anne Geddes keychain in her hands.
“You better put that back, Debbie. Mommy and Daddy told you to,” I
scolded. After all, I was the biggest
sister.
She frowned at me and went back over to the
keychain rack. I looked at the stars
that Billy held in his hands. Those
would look so neat on my ceiling, what with the clouds and all. I just had to convince Mommy and Daddy to
get them for me.
“Come on, kids,” Daddy said, coming over. “Time to go!”
Joey grabbed the stars from Billy and ran
over. “Daddy, can we get these?” he
asked, shoving the package in Daddy’s face.
Daddy took the stars from him and looked at
them. He showed it to Mommy. “Hmmm, I don’t see why not. It’s not too expensive.”
“Oh, David, how’re you going to get those on the
ceiling?” Mommy asked.
“It wouldn’t be too hard, Christine,” Daddy
said. “Besides how long could a few
stars really take to stick on?”
Famous last words. Daddy ended up having to buy packages for me, Billy, and
Joey. The little girls didn’t want
stars. He would be spending HOURS
putting up little stars. I giggled
thinking about it.
Debbie was so mad. “It not fair!” she shouted, still in the store. Dey get their stars, but I no get dis!” She was still holding up the keychain.
“Deborah, you do not need a keychain. Besides, we are getting you and Katie the matching
curtains. Now go put that back,” Mommy
said.
Debbie pouted and stomped back over to the
keychain rack.
Daddy paid for the stars. “Come on, let’s go,” he called.
We all left.
Debbie left reluctantly. I could
tell she was still mad. In the car, on
the way home, Debbie kept her hands closed tightly. At one point, she showed something to Katie and my littlest
sister gasped.
“What?” I whispered.
“Nuffin’,” Debbie said, putting her hand into her
pocket.
I was suspicious, but I didn’t get a chance to
find out what it was.
“Who’s hungry?” Daddy asked, pulling into a
McDonald’s.
“I am!” I said.
“Me, me, me, me!” Katie said.
It was a rare treat for us to go to
McDonald’s. Billy and Joey tumbled out
of the minivan. I jumped out, too. Mommy helped Katie and Debbie out of their
carseats. I took their hands and we all
went inside.
After we ate, and opened our happy meal toys,
Daddy said we could go play in the play area.
We were so excited.
When it was time to go, we put our shoes on. It had been a fun day. And no one had gotten into any trouble. Yet.
“NO!” Katie said, pushing Debbie away. “I not want it!”
“What is it?” Mommy asked. “Is it your happy meal toy, Katie?”
Katie looked up at Mommy and shook her head. “Uh, no, ma’am,” she said, hiding something
behind her back.
Mommy went over.
“Kaitlyn, what are you hiding?” she asked, turning Katie around.
Katie had her hands clasped closed. Mommy pried them open. “David!” she called out to Daddy, who had
already started across the parking lot for the car.
He stopped and turned around. He saw an alarmed look on Mommy’s face. He rushed back to the door of the
McDonald’s. “What is it, Christine?
What’s wrong?”
Mommy took something small out of Katie’s hands
and showed Daddy. I finally got to see
what it was. My mouth dropped open and
I looked over at Debbie. It was the
Anne Geddes keychain.
Daddy looked down at Katie. “Kaitlyn Rose, where did you get that
keychain?”
“I, I, I, uh, uh,” Katie began, starting to cry.
Debbie stood off to the side, her hands clamped
around something. I started to feel all
mad. I couldn’t believe Debbie was
gonna keep quiet while Katie got into trouble.
I went over to Debbie and tried to pry open her
hands. She twisted and pulled away from
me, determined not to let me see what was in her hands. I knew there was another keychain there, and
I wanted to show Mommy and Daddy.
“No, Missy, lemme go!” Debbie shouted.
I put my hand back and brought it forward and
smacked Debbie hard on her arm.
“Owwwww!” she cried. Mommy and Daddy turned away from Katie to look back at us.
“What is going on?” Daddy demanded.
“Missy just smacked Debbie really hard!” Joey
said. Darn him for butting in.
“Melissa!
You know better than to hit,” Daddy scolded, coming over to us.
“But Daddy,” I began.
“No buts, except the one that’s going to be red
when we get home. Now into the car, all
of you!” Daddy said, ushering us to the minivan.
Daddy had taken the Anne Geddes keychain away from
Katie. She was sitting in her carseat
crying. She hadn’t yet been able to
explain where she had gotten it from.
And I was too busy getting into trouble myself to tell Mommy and Daddy
that it had been Debbie who had taken it.
I also didn’t get a chance to tell them she had another one.
When we got home, Daddy ushered us all into the
house. He made us sit in the living
room. “You know, I let you pick out
your wallpaper to redecorate your rooms, you each got something extra, and you
got the added treat of going to McDonald’s. And now you turn around and misbehave? I don’t get it.”
“We were good, Daddy,” Billy said.
Daddy sighed.
“Yes, you and Joey were good, and Debbie was, too.”
He looked at me and Katie. She started to cry.
“Daddy, Katie was good, too,” I finally spoke up.
Daddy took the keychain out of his pocket and held
it up. “I don’t call stealing a
keychain from a store good behavior, Melissa.”
“I not steal dat,” Katie spat out.
Daddy just looked at Katie. “She didn’t, Daddy. Debbie did.” There, I finally said it.
Mommy looked at me. Then at Debbie. “What?”
she said.
“I not!” Debbie shouted.
“You did too!
She took two, Daddy. She has
another one in her hands now.”
“Nuh uh!” Debbie said, instantly hiding her hands
behind her back.
Mommy went over to Debbie then. “Show me, right now, Deborah Nicole.”
Debbie looked up at Mommy’s face. She looked over at me. I sat next to Katie, holding her hand. The boys just sat there. I was still mad at Joey, first for teasing
me about moving, and now for tattling on me at McDonald’s. I was still thinking of a way to get back at
him.
Mommy pulled on Debbie’s hand until she was forced
to open it. Mommy stared as she saw
another Anne Geddes keychain lying in her open hand. She turned to show Daddy.
Billy just snorted. Daddy said, “You boys go upstairs and unpack something. Mommy and I need to talk to the girls.”
“Yes, Daddy,” Joey said. “Yes, sir,” Billy said, getting up.
He took the keychain from Mommy and put it next to
the other one on the coffee table. He
turned to me and said, “Okay, Melissa, how about you tell me just what you
know?”
“Well, Daddy, I saw Debbie show Katie something in
the car and she gasped. And she
wouldn’t show it to me, so I had a feeling.
She was real upset in the store when you said she couldn’t buy it. I didn’t know she took them though, til I
saw Mommy take it from Katie,” I explained.
Daddy looked at Debbie. “Is that true, Deborah?”
Debbie didn’t say anything; just looked at the
floor. Daddy sighed and looked at
Katie. “And Kaitlyn, you didn’t take
this from the store?”
Katie shook her head. “Uh uh, Daddy, I not steal nuffin!”
Daddy took a deep breath. “Okay, sweetie, come here, you little
teddybear!”
Katie smiled for the first time in a while and ran
into Daddy’s arms. He picked her up and
held her tight. “Daddy’s sorry that I
scolded you, sweetie. I didn’t
know. Do you forgive your mean old
Daddy?”
Katie nodded.
“I not fink you’re mean, Daddy.
‘s okay.”
Mommy and I watched as Katie and Daddy
hugged. I smiled. Katie is just so cute. It upsets me when she gets in trouble. And I would have been really mad if she had
gotten a spanking for something that Debbie did. When Daddy was done, Mommy hugged Katie and sent her upstairs so
they could talk to me and Debbie.
As soon as Katie was gone, Daddy turned back to
look at Debbie. “Well, young lady, what
do you have to say for yourself?”
“I w-w-wanted da keychain, Daddy,” she said
quietly.
“But Mommy and I said no, young lady. That does not give you permission to steal
things when we say no to them. You are
in big trouble, Deborah Nicole.”
Debbie started to cry. She knew she was caught.
Daddy looked over at me. “And
you, Melissa, know better than to hit your sister, don’t you?”
I nodded.
“Yes, Daddy, but she had the keychain, and you were yelling at Katie and
I wanted to show you,” I cried.
“Melissa, there are many ways you could have told
us we made a mistake, rather than hitting your sister,” Mommy stated.
I knew she was right. It was just that Debbie had made me so angry. “Yes, ma’am,” I said.
“Go up to your room, Missy. I will be up there in a few minutes,” Daddy
said.
“Yes, sir,” I said. I got up and headed for the stairs. I watched as Daddy and Mommy both began scolding Debbie.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“You go to Missy, David, I’ll take this one,”
Mommy said.
Daddy nodded and headed for the stairs. Mommy held the keychains up for Debbie to
see. “You know that stealing is wrong,
don’t you, Deborah Nicole?”
Debbie shook her head up and down. “Yes, ma’am.”
“Then what were you thinking?”
“I wasn’t finking, Mama. I just wanted dem. One
for me, one for Katie,” Debbie expressed.
We’re not sure where Debbie had picked it up, but
a while ago she had started calling Mommy, Mama. No one bothered to tell her not to so that’s what she called her
now.
Mommy sighed.
“So you knew it was wrong to take them, but you took them anyway? And then you stood back and let Katie take
the blame! Mama is very upset with you,
Deborah. You’re going to get a spanking.”
“No, Mama, please!” Debbie cried.
Mommy pulled Debbie to stand in front of her. “Tell Mama why you’re getting this
spanking.”
“Cuz I taked the keychains and Katie ohmost gotted
in trouble,” Debbie said.
“Yes, that’s exactly right.”
Mommy proceeded to pull down Debbie’s pants and
panties. Then she pulled her over her
lap. She raised her hand and brought it
down hard.
{Spank! Spank!} “You will not {Spank! Spank!}
steal things. {Spank! Spank!}
Ever! {Spank! Spank!} Is that
understood?” {Spank! Spank!} {Spank! Spank!}
“Owwwwww!
Yes, Mama!” Debbie cried.
“I don’t ever {Spank! Spank!} want to catch you
{Spank! Spank!} with something you took {Spank! Spank!} from a store. {Spank! Spank!} I better not {Spank! Spank!}
have to repeat {Spank! Spank!} this lesson with you again, Deborah Nicole.”
{Spank! Spank!}
“Owwwwww!
I not do it again, Mama!
Waaaaah!”
Mommy kept spanking Debbie. This was probably the worst spanking she had
gotten in a long time, and definitely the first in the new house.
“And furthermore, {Spank! Spank!} you must not
{Spank! Spank!} stand back and let your sister {Spank! Spank!} get into trouble
{Spank! Spank!} for something you did.
{Spank! Spank!} That is wrong! {Spank! Spank!} Am I making myself very clear?” {Spank! Spank!}
“Yes, ma’am.
I sorrrrrrrrrry!” Debbie cried.
Mommy gave Debbie the last few smacks on her
sitspot. {Spank! Spank!} {Spank!
Spank!} {Spank! Spank!} “Okay, then we’re done here.”
Mommy stood Debbie up, helped her pull up her
panties and pants, and hugged her tight.
“I love you, babygirl,” Mommy said, wiping at Debbie’s tears.
“I wuv you, too, Mama. I sorry I taked the keychain and ohmost gotted Katie inta
trubble,” Debbie said sincerely.
“Okay, but you will have to apologize to Katie
yourself. And later we are going back
to the store where you will return the keychains and apologize to the store
people.”
Debbie looked at Mommy wide-eyed. She knew better than to protest but she was
not happy about this change of events.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, Daddy came into my room. “Melissa?” he asked. I turned and looked up at him. I had been lying on my bed, facing the wall. “Yes, Daddy?”
He sat down on the edge of my bed. He looked around. “This room is shaping up quite nicely. It will look great when you put up your rainbows and clouds,” he
said.
I nodded.
“And stars, Daddy, don’t forget the stars.”
“No, I won’t forget the stars. But now, young lady, we have something to
discuss, don’t we?” Daddy asked gently.
I nodded again.
“Yes, sir.”
“Okay, would you like to tell me why you hit your
sister?”
“I told you, Daddy. I knew she had that keychain and I wanted to show you and Mommy,
so you wouldn’t be mad at Katie,” I explained.
Daddy sighed.
“Well, Melissa, as Mommy and I said earlier, you are old enough to know
better ways of getting our attention.
You must not ever hit anyone, especially your sister,” Daddy scolded.
“Yes, sir,” I said sadly. “You gonna spank me, Daddy?”
“Yes, I am.
You are a good girl, Melissa, but sometimes you need reminders as to how
to behave, don’t you?” Daddy asked.
“You seem to be having a little trouble remembering the rules.”
I knew he was thinking about me jumping on the
bed, and now this.
I looked down at my feet. He was right. I hated to admit it.
“But I sorry, Daddy,” I said, in a little
voice. Somehow whenever I was in
trouble, I started to sound more like four than seven.
“Missy? Honey?”
“Yes, Daddy?”
“Who loves you more than anyone in the whole
world?”
“You, Daddy? And Mommy?”
“Yes, we both do.”
I started to cry.
I kinda knew where this was headed.
I already started to feel real guilty.
“And why are we strict with you, Melissa?”
“Cuz you want me to know right from wrong, and be
good?” I asked.
Daddy smiled.
“Yes. But sometimes it's hard to
be good, isn't it?”
I bit my lip.
“Yes, Daddy.”
“I know, baby, well, that’s why Daddy is going to
help you. Do you understand?”
“Yes, sir.”
Daddy pulled me up so that I was standing next to
him. He pulled down my jeans and laid
me over his lap. Then he slipped my
panties down. I started to cringe. I knew what was coming.
Daddy raised his hand and spanked my bottom not
real hard, but definitely hard enough to sting. Oh man, that hurt!
{Swat!} {Swat!} {Swat!} {Swat!} {Swat!} “I know it's hard to be good, {Swat!}
{Swat!} but you must try. {Swat!} {Swat!}
And you must {Swat!} {Swat!} find other ways {Swat!} {Swat!} of getting
mine {Swat!} {Swat!} and Mommy’s attention {Swat!} {Swat!} than hitting your
sister. {Swat!} {Swat!} That is a definite
no-no, {Swat!} {Swat!} and will not be tolerated. {Swat!} {Swat!} Is that understood?” {Swat!} {Swat!}
“Owwww, yes, Dadddddy!” I cried. I wanted to put my hand back to rub so
badly, but that would be another big no-no.
{Swat!} {Swat!} {Swat!} {Swat!} {Swat!} “Daddy
wants {Swat!} {Swat!} you to be a good {Swat!} {Swat!} girl, Melissa Erin!”
{Swat!} {Swat!}
It was hurting so much, that I started to wiggle
and kick my feet. Daddy held me firmly
in place.
“Owwwwww!” I cried. “I’m sorrrrrrrrry!”
Daddy continued spanking. “Do you think you {Swat!} {Swat!} can try to
be {Swat!} {Swat!} a good girl for Daddy?” {Swat!}
“Owww, yessssir!” I cried.
“Good, then I know we won’t have this discussion
again,” Daddy said, spanking lower, on my sitspot. {Swat!} {Swat!} {Swat!} {Swat!} {Swat!}
I screamed, “OWWWWWIIIIIIEEEEE!” and Daddy finally
stopped. He helped me stand up and
pulled me to him, hugging me tight.
I sobbed against his chest. “Owwww, Daddy, that hurtttt!” I cried.
“It was meant to, Missy,” he said. “But it’s all over now.” Then he reached down and pulled my panties
up. He told me to step out of my jeans. When I did, he took them, folded them, and
put them on my desk chair.
He picked me up and put me gently on my bed, on my
side. “You take a little nap now. It’s been a long day.”
“Okay, Daddy.
But Daddy?”
“Yes, Missy?”
“I love you, Daddy.”
Daddy smiled, leaned down, and kissed my
cheek. “I love you, too, baby.”
“Forever, Daddy?”
“Forever and ever. You know Daddy wouldn’t spank you if he didn’t love you.”
I nodded.
It was true, and I knew it.
A little later, I felt something cold. I looked up and there was my sister,
Katie. Brrr, her hands were cold. I sat up and instantly jumped. Ouch.
I almost forgot.
Katie looked at me. “You getta spankin’, Missy?” she asked.
I nodded.
“Yeah, for hitting Debbie. But
she tried to get you into trouble, so I had to protect you.”
Katie smiled.
She reached over and put her arms around my neck and squeezed. “Tank you, Missy. I yuvs you.”
“Awwww, I love you, too,” I said, hugging her
back.
I carefully got up and put my jeans back on. “The house is so quiet. Where is everyone?” I asked.
Katie pointed out the window. “Daddy in da backyard with da boys. Mommy and Debbie goed to da store.”
I looked at my little sister. “They did? Why?”
Katie smiled again. “Her hadda return da keychains,” she said, a little wiser than
her four years.
I grinned.
Oh man, that hadda be hard. I
was glad I wasn’t in Debbie’s shoes.
Me and Katie went down to her room and played
Barbies until Mommy got back with Debbie.
We had a nice dinner that night, and there was no more talk about
spankings...that day, anyway.
I was still working on getting Joey back. He continued to be mean to me on a daily basis. Instead of me telling Mommy and Daddy on
him, I just kept it in the back of my mind.
I was going to get him real good.
Our wallpaper was put up the following
weekend. My rainbows looked
amazing! And my clouds, too. Daddy hadn’t put the stars up yet, but he
was planning to, soon. I went down the
hall to look at my sisters’ room. I had
to admit that the Anne Geddes’ babies looked really cute. And Mommy had hung up the matching
curtains. Their room looked so
cozy. It made me miss being in there
with them.
“Kids, I want you to go through all your toys and
throw out anything that’s broken or you don’t want to play with anymore,” Mommy
told us. “I want to work on the
playroom now that the wallpaper is up.”
We had chosen red, yellow, and blue stripes for
the playroom. It was very
colorful. Until this time, all our toys
still lay in boxes in the room. Only
our very favorite toys had been taken out since the move.
“Put all the boxes of stuff to be thrown out or
donated, in the hall, right here,” Mommy said, pointing to the hallway outside
the playroom.
“What’s donated mean, Mama?” Debbie asked.
“It means that if you don’t want to play with
something anymore, we’ll give it to some kids who don’t have any of their own
toys and might like ours,” Mommy explained.
“Oh, okay,” Debbie said. We started to go through our stuff.
I don’t know what made me think of it, but
suddenly I had this wicked idea. I
peeked my head into Joey’s room and saw his box of baseball stuff. He had been waiting for his wallpaper to go
up, but then he was going to have Daddy put all his trophies and stuff on the
shelves in the room.
I smiled evilly to myself. I knew exactly how I was going to get Joey
back. He would regret ever making fun
of and tattling on me.
I went through my stuff and managed to throw a few
things away. But rather than put them
in their own separate box, I snuck back into Joey’s room. I took his box of baseball stuff, dragged it
into the hall, and threw my discarded toys on top.
“Here, Mommy,” I said, pointing out the box. “That’s all stuff I don’t want anymore.”
“Wow, Melissa, very good,” Mommy praised. She closed up the box and added it to the
stack of other boxes. I smiled to
myself and went about my business.
That night, in the middle of the night, I woke
up. I felt scared and I didn’t know
why. I got up and went to the
bathroom. The whole house was quiet. I started down the hall, tiptoeing so I
wouldn’t wake anyone. The hall light
was on and I could see the boxes in the hall.
There was a pile marked “garbage” and a pile marked “donate”. I saw Joey’s baseball stuff in that
pile. I started to feel a little
guilty.
Instead of going to Mommy and Daddy’s room, I
detoured and went into my sisters’ room.
I listened at the door. Both my
sisters were sound asleep. I missed
being with them. My room was
lonely. I didn’t even know where my
black lab, Midnight, was.
Hmmm, maybe he was in here. I peeked under Debbie’s bed. Nope, no puppy.
I heard a noise and looked up. Katie was sitting up in bed, rubbing her
eyes. She stared at me. “Missy?”
I walked over to her. “Yeah. Go back to sleep,
Katie.”
She shook her head no. “What you doin?”
I thought.
I didn’t want to scare her by telling her I was scared. “Umm, I was looking for Midnight. He’s not under Debbie’s bed.”
Katie jumped up and peeked under her bed. “Nope, not unner dere,” she whispered.
“Maybe he’s in the closet,” I said, pointing. He would often hide there in our old
house. But when Katie pulled open the
door, there was no puppy.
“Not dere,” Katie said.
“Where could he be?” I asked.
“Did ya check your closet, Missy?” Katie asked.
“Nope, let’s go look,” I said. I hadn’t checked there, cuz I hadn’t really
been looking for him. But since I
couldn’t tell Katie that, I just followed her back to my room.
Katie opened my closet door and frowned. “No puppy,” she said.
“Check under the bed,” I told her.
She crouched down and looked under my bed. “There him is.”
I got down next to her and peeked, too. “Silly dog, come outta there, Midnight,” I
told him, giggling. Katie giggled,
too. We weren’t even thinking that it
was the middle of the night and that we shouldn’t have been giggling, let alone
even be out of bed.
I tried to pull my puppy out, but he didn’t budge. “Come on, Katie, help me get him outta
there.”
Katie tugged on him. I giggled as Midnight came out, fell on Katie and started licking
her face. “Ooooh, doggy drool,” I said.
Katie giggled some more. “Stopppppppppppp Midnighttttttttttt!” she said.
I laughed and pulled my puppy off of her. I picked him up, put him on my bed and said,
“Stay!”
Katie got up, took a t-shirt off my chair and
tried to put it on Midnight. “What are
you doing?” I asked.
“Gettin’ him ready for bed,” Katie said, matter of
factly. “Now him's ready.”
I giggled some more. Midnight looked pretty silly in my t-shirt. I got up on the bed and started jumping up
and down. I laughed as Midnight bounced
along with me.
Katie smiled and said, “Dat look like fun.”
Without even thinking of the rules, I let Katie
climb up and jump with me on the bed.
We were both laughing and giggling so much. Midnight stayed on, too, bouncing up and down, along with us.
“I’m gonna invent this as an Olympic sport...puppy
bouncing!” I said. Katie just kept
laughing.
Neither of us heard Daddy until he said, “What’s
going on in here?”
This time we both jumped, mostly out of fear. I pulled Katie down with me, as I jumped to
a sitting position on my bed.
“Uh, hi Daddy,” I said, quietly. Katie just put her thumb into her mouth and
sucked. She did that sometimes still.
“Come on, teddybear, let’s get you back into your
bed,” Daddy said, holding out his hand for Katie.
“Nite, Missy,” she said. I waved as Daddy led her out of my room. I quickly got into my own bed, pulling
Midnight in with me.
When Daddy came back, he looked down at me. “Melissa, go right to sleep. We’ll talk in the morning.”
“Yes, sir,” I said. I was asleep again within minutes.
In the morning when I got up, the first thing I
noticed was that the boxes were gone from the hall. Instantly, I got a pain in my stomach. During the night, I had decided that I wasn’t going to go through
with my plan. It was too mean.
I ran downstairs.
“Mommy! Mommy!” I shouted.
“Mommy’s not here, Melissa. She went to drop off the boxes at the
children’s center. Joey and Katie went
with her.”
I gulped.
“Oh!” was all I said.
“Why? What’s wrong?” Daddy asked, coming closer to
me. I sat down at the dining room
table. Daddy put a bowl in front of
me. “Cereal?” he asked.
I shook my head.
I didn’t think I could eat. I
was feeling really lousy.
Daddy sat down next to me. “Melissa? What’s wrong?” he asked.
“I did something, Daddy. Something really bad,” I admitted, starting to cry.
“Well, if it’s about last night, it’s true you and
Katie should NOT have been up in the middle of the night, and you definitely
should not have been jumping on the bed.
But I’ll let it go this time.
I’m just glad no one was hurt.
Jumping on the bed is dangerous, Melissa,” Daddy said.
I looked at him and nodded. Oh, I had forgotten about that. “No, sir, that’s not it. It’s something else,” I said.
Just then Mommy opened the front door and Joey
came running over to me. He raised his
arm as if to hit me, but Mommy pulled on it.
“No, no, you may not hit,” she scolded him.
I shrunk back from Joey’s raised hand. Daddy jumped up and grabbed Joey. “What’s going on here, young man?” he asked.
Joey wriggled free of Mommy and was now trying to
get free of Daddy. “I’m gonna get her,
that’s what I’m gonna do!” he screamed.
I just looked at Joey and then up at Mommy. I knew she knew what I had done. I started to cry. Daddy took Joey firmly by the shoulders and gently pushed him
into another chair at the table, away from me.
“Settle down,” he told him. “Now tell me what is going on here.”
Daddy looked between Joey and me. Neither of us said a word. Finally Joey said, “She took my baseball
stuff, Daddy, and put some of her stuff on top and told Mommy to donate
it. I wouldn’t even have known if I
hadn’t gone with Mommy.”
Joey started to cry. Daddy turned and stared at me.
I looked down at the floor.
Suddenly it looked very interesting.
Daddy reached over and lifted my chin.
“Is this true, Melissa Erin?” he asked.
“It sure is!” Joey shouted.
“That’s enough, you had your turn,” Daddy
said. I looked up. Both Daddy and Mommy were staring at
me. “Well?” Daddy asked me.
Slowly, I nodded.
“Yes, sir, it’s true,” I admitted.
Daddy sighed.
Mommy just looked at me and shook her head. “Come, Joey, we’ll put your things back up in your room,” she
said, taking Joey’s hand.
He pulled free.
“No, I wanna see her get it!” he said.
“Joseph Scott!
Let’s go now!” Mommy said strongly.
Daddy looked at Joey. “Go on now, son, listen to your mother. I will talk to Missy and get this all straightened out.”
“Yes, sir,” Joey said, getting up from the
table. “I hope you get it good, Missy,”
he spat.
“Shut up!” I shouted.
“Enough!
Both of you!” Daddy said sharply.
“Now go with Mommy,” Daddy told Joey, giving his rear-end a swat.
“Owww, what was that for?” he whined.
“I don’t like what you just said to your
sister. I told you I would take care of
this. Now go before I consider having a
talk with you as well.”
Joey ran up the stairs after Mommy, not wanting to
have any talks with Daddy. I knew how
he felt.
Daddy turned to me. “Melissa? Is this what you were about to tell me before Joey
did?”
Silently, I nodded. “I was feeling guilty, Daddy.”
“And so you should have been,” he said. “Let’s go up to your room.”
Daddy stood up and put his hand out for me to
take. Slowly I stood up and took it,
going with him upstairs. I was not
going to enjoy what would happen when I got there.
When Daddy had my desk chair pulled out into the
middle of the room, he sat down on it, and had me stand in front of him. “Well, young lady, what on earth were you
thinking?”
“I’m sorry, Daddy. I was just trying to get Joey back. He’s been real mean to me since we moved. He’s always making fun of me, and tattling on
me. I just wanted to show him,” I
cried.
Daddy sighed.
“What would you have shown him if his things had been given away,
Melissa? That was a very cruel thing to do to your brother.”
I nodded.
“I know, that’s why I wasn’t gonna do it. But then I woke up and the boxes were gone!” I cried. “I knew I shoulda put the box back in the
middle of the night when I woke up!”
A light went off over Daddy’s head. “Is that why you were up in the middle of
the night?”
“Well, I woke up, feeling guilty. Then I was looking for Midnight. That’s how come Katie got up. I’m sorry, Daddy.”
“Well, you’re about to be even sorrier, Melissa,”
Daddy said. “Now tell me why you are
getting this spanking.”
I sobbed, “Cuz I was gonna give Joey’s things away
and that’s wrong.”
“Yes, it is.
You know much better than to touch someone else’s things, let alone take
them and even give them away. That’s
unheard of.”
At this point, Daddy had me stand in front of
him. He pulled my pajama bottoms and my
panties down in one full swoop. Then he
lifted me over his lap. “I should use
my hairbrush on you, young lady. But
since you were going to take it back, I won’t.”
Daddy started to spank me hard. He brought his hand down again and again. It hurt, too.
{Smack! Smack!} “You should not plot {Smack!
Smack!} to hurt your brother, {Smack! Smack!} or anyone else. {Smack! Smack!} That was very {Smack!
Smack!} wrong. And even though you
decided not to go through with it, {Smack! Smack!} it was still very naughty,
young lady.” {Smack! Smack!}
“Owwwww, yes, sirrrrrr! I’m sorrrrry!” I cried.
This was the second spanking I had received in the
new house, and I didn’t like it one bit.
We hadn’t been here that long, neither.
“We just {Smack! Smack!} talked {Smack! Smack!}
about this the other day. {Smack! Smack!}
You have got {Smack! Smack!} to find other ways {Smack! Smack!} of doing
things. {Smack! Smack!} You need
{Smack! Smack!} to think {Smack! Smack!} things through, young lady. I don’t {Smack! Smack!} want to repeat
{Smack! Smack!} this lesson {Smack! Smack!} with you again anytime soon. {Smack! Smack!} Am I making {Smack! Smack!}
myself very clear {Smack! Smack!}, Melissa Erin?” {Smack! Smack!}
“Owwwww, yes, Dadddddy! I won’t do it again. I’ll
tell Joey sorry.”
“Yes, you will.”
{Smack! Smack!} {Smack! Smack!} Daddy finished up with some hard smacks
to my tender sitspot. He wanted me to
remember this for a while, I think.
{Smack! Smack!} {Smack! Smack!} {Smack! Smack!} “Okay, we’re done here,” Daddy said, helping
me up.
I cried on Daddy’s chest while he rubbed my back
and my bottom. He reached down and
pulled up my panties and my pajama bottoms.
It was still the morning, but already it felt like a long day.
“Okay, baby, it’s all over now. Daddy still loves you,” Daddy cooed in my
ear. He wiped at my tears and kissed my
cheek.
I sobbed and wiped at my tears, too. “I’m sorry, Daddy.”
“I know you are, but you will still have to
apologize to your brother and make it up to him. You’ll have to think of some ways that you’re going to do
that. And don’t be surprised if he
doesn’t accept your apology right away.
What you tried to do was very mean, Melissa. I hope you never think of such a cruel thing ever again.”
“I won’t, Daddy.
Honest,” I said, putting my hand over my heart. “Can I go apologize to him right now?”
Daddy smiled.
“Yes, that would be very nice.”
I gave Daddy a quick kiss on the cheek and ran out
of the room. I went to Joey’s new room
and tentatively knocked on the door.
He said, “Come in,” but when he saw it was me, he
scowled. “What do YOU want?”
“Look, Joey, I’m sorry. What I tried to do was really mean. I was mad at you for making fun of me about moving, and for
tattling on me when I hit Debbie.”
Joey just stared at me. “THAT’S why you were gonna give my stuff away? Cuz I teased you? Missy, you’re always teasing me.
You and Billy and even Debbie.
The three of you are always making fun of me. I finally had something on you.”
I just looked down. It was true. Joey was
kind of a crybaby and we often made fun of him. I didn’t know what to say.
Finally I walked over to him.
“Hey, could we maybe have a truce?
I’ll try to be nicer to you, and not make fun of you, and you’ll do the
same?”
Joey took a few minutes thinking about it. “Yeah, we could try that. Okay, it’s a deal!”
I put my hand out and Joey shook it. We smiled at each other. Then I did something I had never thought to
do with my brothers. I hugged him. I did it really fast and then ran out of the
room.
Daddy put the stars on our ceilings that
weekend. There were some extras from my
set so I let Joey have them. It looked
so cool. When you turned the lights
out, the whole solar system glowed on our ceilings.
I think I was going to like living in the new
house. Of course life would be much
easier if I could get through my days without any spankings. But since that was never going to happen, I would
just focus on my new room and my privacy.
And also I was going to work on finding new ways to solve my
problems. My family was the most
important thing in the whole world to me.
The end.
