| In 1967 George, John and their wifes had an experiance with LSD {for more info visit the Wonder Drug Page} that they would never forget. George decided to cut the drugs and do more meditation. He said that you can get high with out doing drugs, and actually meeting God. When the White Album began to take off, George had many songs, and he was forced to only choose a couple. These were some of George's most loved songs...especially "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"...one of my favorites. George brough in his new pal by the name of Eric Clapton. Eric also had mad skills on the guitar {but Georges skill was the maddest of all guitarists}, and George wanted him to play lead guitar in the song. Around this time George and Patti began to "drift" as one would say. In my opinion Eric had something to do with this. Eric Clapton wrote the song "Layla" about Patti. In 1969 the Beatles began the album "Let It Be". In this they wanted to make a film about the making of their songs, and how about works properly. It did the exact oposite. The band had many fights do to people in their faces all the time. George would always get into fights with Paul, and Paul would always hunt him down and aplogize. This album was thought to be the last album of the Beatles. At the end of '69 the Beatles began one of their most famous and last albums "Abbey Road"...this was the last album. In this album all the lads had FUN making it...actual fun. It could have been because they all knew that it was the last album. George had two of his most popular songs entitled "Here Comes the Sun" and "Something". Frank Sanutra recreated one of George's songs..."I believe Frank still refers to it as one of his favorite Lennon\McCartney tunes..."--Paul. George Harrison had developed into a beautiful songwriter, guitarist, and singer. In 1970 the Beatles split up, and everyone was on their own new career path. George made the Album "All Things Must Pass". This Album did far better than any of the other Beatles albums. "I felt constipated during the White Album...I had so many songs...and thats why 'All Things Must Pass' had alot of them.' George and Patti were soon over. Thank you George! ....What I find SO funny, is that Patti married Eric Clapton soon after...hmmmm? George went on with his record label {Dark Horse Records}. He then met after a couple of years Olivia Arras. I liked Olivia, she is a kind person. He married Olivia and had one child, Dhani. Dhani is pronounced Danny...just so you know. Dhani looks almost exactly like George...its fab. George went on with his singing career making albums such as "Cloud Nine" and the "Material World". George raised money for the people of Bangla Dash...in "The Concert For Bangla Dash". He has a charity called "The Material World Foundation" helping many people in many ways. Some years later {around 1994}, George, Paul, and Ringo began work on a song together...on last time. John was now gone, but his spirit remained through the song called "Free As A Bird". In this song, John Sings, and so does Paul and George. They took their old "Beatle" intruments, and started the song. John played the piano. This song is very pretty, I suggest that you listen to it. George began a new record called "Brainwashed" in 2000. This was George's last album. He had throat cancer for some while and in the year 2001 he passed away in the comfort of his home with Friends and family to his side. George is my Favorite Beatle and he will remain that way forever. George is still with us, just not in physical form. George Harrison was a excellent guirtarist and a loving person...Hare Krishna! |
