Support System that gives real time solutions for the North West Airlines (NWA). The
whole system consists of three applications, Solver Graphical User Interface (GUI) ,
CrewSolver? and Solver Service.
GUI is intended to provide an interface to the CrewSolver? and alleviate some of the
cumbersome tasks currently NWA’s Crew Management System (CMS). It provides the
necessary functionality for crew coordinators to view and solve problems in real time.
CrewSolver? is designed to optimize the management of crew resources of NWA in
case of minor and/ or major disruptions in the crew system. The What-if functionality
provides the crew coordinators and schedulers the ability to respond proactively to
dynamic conditions of the airline system by efficiently generating crewing plans and
facilitating their analysis with respect to current and alternate palns.
