November Sesh Report

And so 'twas we did hit the high road (well, toll road for a couple of us) to the Grim North to the Bard's Bungalow.Once there we set up toot sweet and began the slow descent into hell. Georgiadis showed up and started as usual to win big, Salvador held steady and hit high's but then sank without a trace. Madge broke a good run and lost the most. The golden jewel of the night though, was Burnley's very own match for Braggy of Bicester, none other than Mr Newbie known only as Aggro. Aggro by name, Aggro by nature, as he took on all comers and beat them soundly. Birthday Chap Tommy did pretty well also, doing the "Let's Get Joanie Drunk" trick again. Psycho was on a magnificent roll, only to go wild at the very end of his tenure, betting an incredible 60 on one hand, only for Tom to call him and blunt his blade. Check the Stats etc etc. Only Nate can qualify now to join the top 6. 2 Silver Card Holders to play for and one gold one too, come one come all, let me know if you're up for the next sesh (7th December in Bicester at Nelson Piquet's.

October Sesh Report

Well well well. Off we popped to Bicester to the family pad of Jade & Junior, not just to see the new offspring, cleverly nicknamed Judge Junior Jnr, not to see the local wildlife in all it's bloody glory, and not even to say a quick hi to Braggy, but we travelled verily for a mega-sesh. And what a sesh it turned out to be....

After a long run at the top, luck deserted Salvador and he set a new record, losing 200 on the night. Next worst off was good old Tommy, giving the pot 145 of his soft-earned cash. Everybody else managed to win, with Giblets taking 6 and Psycho (yes, even Psycho won!) on 11 profit. Then came the big guns. Putting past blushes aside, the Judge took 91, which I'm sure will buy a decent enough Christening gown. Madge followed suit with an impressive 103 win, but it was the consistency of Mr Tickles that took the night away, making it a  cool 133 payday for him.

The rankings have been shaken up, there's a new kid in town, and the lower orders are starting to sqaubble... 2 games left and the world to play for... Please note dtae & Venue changes of last few sessions..... Huzzah! SP.
September Sesh Report

Canning called, and we answered. The intrepid school journeyed off for more frolics Chez Tickles and what an odd night it turned out to be. Narkiness, bitter words, impromptu rule changes, Jibber and Jabber aplenty, and through it all the harsh ripping sound of the textbook being torn to pieces in front of our very eyes. In terms of news, plenty to bang on about - Psycho's return to form left us all bemused and kind of happy as he starts his belated fight to the last 6. The Bank of Northern Tom followed its sister company Northern Rock in terms of poor performances and the Bard took a reasonable pummeling of 90, though he sets the record for most lent in a session (120 to XXXX). Talking of XXXX, he carried on recent luck with a 140 loss, and boy didn't we know about it. Nate was close behind, finally bowing to the pressure and losing out for the first time to the tune of 100. Muppet did nothing to repair his strings and played like he had a hand up the wrong place, losing 38.
The winners? well, Home advantage finally paid off for Tickles, nretting 60. Salvador once more proved his consistency and worth, moving top of the stats with a 112 win. apart from Psycho's 22 up, the big news was Madge, taking 175 away from a stake of just 20, moving FIVE places up the table to third. Genius.

Chack the stats, check the next place - can anyone volunteer a gaff for an Octoberfest sesh please? Pip pip, SP.
August Sesh Report

Back we went to the White Hart in Bicester, to drool at hen night ladies and dream of ruling from the Pink Chair. XXXX started off winning the first hand but my my, how his luck changed, despite him playing Textbook Poker all night long. "Sprooooiiiinnggg" went the record for biggest loss in one night (160) as XXXX tumbled from hit to hit. He'll be back. Host Judge Jade (+14.75) joined Mr Tickles (+118.5) and Salvador (+142) in winning, everyone else lost to varying degrees. Nice to see Psycho halving his losses (now -40), give him 3 more sessions and he might make a late comeback into the top 6. Junior  imporved his average and his kudos by cooking some delicious meat pies, and Tommy had a rather sombre 40 loss to his name. Muppet didn't show up, so it was Tickles and Salvador who were the legendary geniuses of the night. Again. Check stats for rank movement and ups/downs etc. Check the next date and all. Suggestions for site improvements to ticklemail please.
Early August Sesh Report

Debut night at Lizmans saw the magnificent 9 take their places and deal off  in style. Salavdor maintained his tradition of winning the first pot of the night, then everyone joined in for a couple of hours of steady betting. Mountie rebought first, but soon after everyone toppled. Noddy Holder and Madge were the only 2 who didn't buy more chips. Muppet's strings were cut as he tumbled to a 120 loss. XXXX's statistical mind was bent out of shape as he got beat time and time again ending up 65 down, probably due to Tommy's mischievous wind-ups. Salvador got slapped severely no less than FOUR times on the river, luck wasn't with him as he fell 70. Tommy had a steady effort to bring in 37. Tickles returned to winning ways (31) despite buying in a fair wedge. Of the top dogs Nate reeled in a good 53, but the Mountie and Noddy Holder were the exceptions with 91 and 61 profits between them. First to bail was the unlucky but tight Madge, falling just his original 20 stake. Stats are updated, more website updates to follow. Next session will be emailed shortly. Thanks for not smoking and not  ruining the carpet! Apologies for passing out early doors.
December Sesh Report

January Sesh Report

Psycho kicked off the year in style, with 8 hardcore players turning up to his gaff to stake their claim on an early lead for the new year. Birthday Boy Psycho fell foul of the home rule, and burned 60 (mostly on River Rat play by others)... Giblets didn't start 08 as well as he finished 07, falling a mighty 120 down - most of which Tickles picked up as he eased his way into the new year with a massive 162 win. Salvador tried to pick up the gauntlet thrown down by the Hairy One, but only managed 46 return. A welcome return from the Mountie only affected the pot by -2.75, and Tommy fared only slightly better with a 25 loss. Muppet got stuck in traffic, heh. Next sesh should see some others return to mix up the bag a little.

February Sesh Report

Madge played host for the first time, and 9 lucky lads got out of being proposed to by turning out for some Nicky Campbelling. The night was pretty tight all round to start with, then the bets were raised sometime after 11ish. Psycho had a welcome return to form and was fairly in the money until he got rivered by Mr Lucky Salvador, ending up -17. Salvador himself took the lions share, 151, thus knocking kingpin Mr Tickles off the top rank - Tickles himself was taught a lesson and ended up negative for the first time since May '07on -8. Tommy was another with a return to form, taking 69, his favourite number. Madge suffered from hosts luck, and possible a near-fatal allergy to JibberJabber, falling 60, while Giblet Fingers continued his run of bad luck falling 40. Muppet had to go one better and lost a cool 100 - no more gondola rides for him this year. Joanie lost it all, borrowed more, then lost that before losing his head and mind, and was last seen haunting the Water Eaton Park & Ride into the early hours bemoaning his 90 loss. The biggest surprise of the night, however, was provided by XXXX, who turned up late as usual and proceeded to knock up a cool 95 profit, launching himself from World's Greatest Loser position last year, straight into second place.
Come join the party in March, where we'll see the welcome return to Judge Jade and Junior. Bringeth it on.

March Sesh Report

Well Crikey. A great sesh, with no analyses or jibber jabba or hen nights or fighting, much good pokie played. A welcome return to the White Hart saw Judge Jade steal the show with a 54 winner. Salvador continued his good '08 form with a take of 43.50, Mr Tickles followed closely with 30 to the good. Junior had his share of fortune too, taking 28 Madge followed Salv's example of fighting back from 60 down to end up 5 better off. Psycho completed the winners roster with a 50p, yes 50 pence win. Well done.  As for the losers, well there was only 2 this time - Brave newcomer Jamie "Penny" Parker, losing out on 29, and then Tom Tom the Piper's Son, who clearly didn't heed the tune, walking out a collossal 142 down. Much fun, if no burritos, had by by all, so thanks to J&J once more. And not even a whiff of Braggy at the Den. Check Stats for more details.

SP (Who can't believe XXXX goes top o'the league without even playing)
April Sesh Report

After FINALLY getting the game under way 40 mins late, it didn't take long for the 2 newbies (Sweeney and Bobby) to bring their Oxford Blue battles to the green baize at canning and it was Bob who took first blood, causing Rod to buy back in for the first of many times only 13 minutes in.

This frantic play continued until there was a  massive 260 in the pot even before the 1st hour was up. In between the carnage, Psycho was quietly accumulating a profit for once (88), while opposite him the Mountie was also reaping the benefit of decent cards to eventually come out as the evenings winner with a nice 141 profit.

In between Salavadore's Taxi excursions he found time to reload Tickles, who was in serious danger of a rare loss until a 'miracle' 5 on the river sent Darley into a tilting rage, but somehow he managed to claw his way back to a modicum of respectability by close of play, finishing only 48down.

Other losers on the night were Muppet (-33) , New Boys Bob (-20) & Sweeney (-120), with Giblet Fingers also suffering with another bad night (-120). Taking their money were tickles (24) and 4X Foster with a decent return of 89 despite turning up even later than usual.

Psycho Killer.
