Caving

I've been caving since I was about 10, turned on to the sport by my older brother, John, when he took me to a small cave about a mile from our house, under the 18th century Buchanon house. This historical building has since been razed and replaced by a small office building, but the cave is still intact.
I'm a member of the National Speleological Society (NSS# 53038). My grotto is the Southport Chronic Cavers Grotto (secretary from 2003 - 2007), member (by default) of T.A.G., the Tennessee-Alabama-Georgia caving community, and SERA, the Southeastern Regional Association, an internal organization of the NSS.
The initial purpose to this part of my web site is to show how I modified a Rayovac Sportsman 3-in-1 headlamp from a single white LED with two red LEDs to a three white LED lamp, and the addition of a simple constant current circuit that maintains about 20mA of current to the LEDs throughout most of the life of the batteries. But while we're on the topic, here's the list of non-commercial caves I have explored so far, updated as I visit new (to me) caves:
Discovered by yours truly
Commercial Caves I've visited: Total unique caves visited as of 5/1/2009:  95 caves
Total trips to all caves: approx. 181
