| SALSA WITH JESSICA! |
| Bio Jessica started dancing at the age of 7. She was part of a Bronx after school program taught by Eddie Torres, which lead to many performances including one with the late and great Tito Puente. At the age of 18, Jessica took up another style of salsa called "Rueda" where she learned "On 1". Later she got her first job as a dance instructor for Salsa Heat Dance Studio in Orlando at the age of 19. She has performed at numerous local events in Orlando FL. She also appeared as a dancer on the Latin TV show Caliente. Jessica went on to compete in the 2002 IDO US Salsa Championships in Orlando where she tied 3rd place. She later moved back to New York where she re-visited her Mambo roots and continued to teach salsa "On 1" and "On 2". She took classes at Razz M Tazz with Addie Rodriguez and trained in Angel Rodriguez' instructor course. She has performed at various Bally's Total Fitness events who she also teaches for. She is currently teaching in Manhattan, and at Rhythms and Soul in Long Island. She is also a member of the World Salsa Federation. |
