Daiso
Daiso was actually the first ever real part time job that I actually had (I guess working in PICA restaurant doesn't really count). I initially had quite a lot of expectations (good and bad) about the job. But it turned out that the employee community is really great, with lots and lots of nice and fun personnel. I kind of miss having Chris around; it was actually quite fun working and talking with Chris; time actually flew by a lot quicker when working with him. But everyone else in Daiso are also really cool. I remember my first day as cashier and the sophisticated training that I got from Elitte; it was really helpful and the system that she taught me really paid off later on. Other cashiers that I later met are very talkative and cheerful: Mandy, Aaron, Vicky, Kevin, Anthony, Melinda, etc.
Being able to also work as a stocker was also a very wonderful experience. I had the privilege to work under Mandy, one of the best bosses that you'll ever encounter, and being able to learn under Wayne was great. The co-workers in that section were some cool people: Jacky, Heidi, Kitty's, Mimi, and Sze. The lunch break that we had were fun with very interesting conversations amongst other co-workers. I am grateful to have met very nice people like Ching-Wa, Vincent, Janze, Ada, Michelle, Jonathan, Samuel, etc. Working in Daiso might not be a very braggable feat to put on the resume, but I have certainly learned a lot from working there and have the pleasure to meet a lot of nice people.
Mandy Ngai
Mandy was the first supervisor that I ever had for work. She is a very good boss
to have, being very considerate and caring to her workers. You'll always see her
walk around with a smile on her face and offers to help anyone in need. She is
also very generous as she is always willing to hand us snacks and gifts numerous
times. I still remember the one time when we had to unload cargo in the pouring
rain and afterwards Mandy dashed out and bought us towels to wash our faces. I
am really thankful to have Mandy as my supervisor and the time I spent in Daiso
was very memorable.

Wayne Poon
I really enjoyed the time working with Wayne in our plastic section. He is
always so responsible and gets the job done real quickly. Wayne is also a very
polite fellow and be very considerate and nice to his co-workers. He has taught
me a lot about work and it was definitely a pleasure to have worked with him.

Aaron Yuen
Aaron is a very talkative person; he would come up with all sorts of different
interesting topics and keep you from falling to boredom during work. It is as
though he knows a huge range of different things from computer and hardware, to
daily matters and interesting gizmos. Partnering with him during work just makes
time go by so much faster and less mundane. He is also very smart in coming up
with different loopholes and shortcuts to get things done or clean messes up. I
am still confused why such a person is working almost full time at Daiso, but
perphaps he has his side of story.
