This is HeiDie. Chinese for Dark Butterfly. No, no song attached this time. Just the flip side of YuDie, and the realm of Id-chan.
Id-chan's another writing penname of mine. I was too embarressed at first to put up NC-17 writing under my Salmon penname, so I created Id-chan. Why Id-chan?
ID: In Freudian theory, the part of the psyche associated with instinctual, repressed, or antisocial desires, usually sexual or aggressive. In its efforts to satisfy these desires, the id comes into conflict with the social and practical constraints enforced by the ego and superego.
ID: In psychoanalytic theory, the division of the psyche that is totally unconscious and serves as the source of instinctual impulses and demands for immediate satisfaction of primitive needs.
-chan: The honorific used when addressing or referring to children, girls and young women. The word is not used between adults unless there is a great deal of familiarity and affection. Because of the cuteness of the term, this honorific tends to be gender particular and is more often heard when referring to females.
-chan: Informal suffix attached to a Japanese name. A diminutive used between close friends, boyfriend-girlfriend, or to speak to someone very junior to yourself such as a child or a pet.
So, yes, it is a bit twisted to put the two together and create the penname Id-chan, but I found it amusing. At first, I was going to just put all my stories up under the main page, but I thought I might have some fun. And that's how HeiDie (and Id-chan) came to be.
Basically what's here is the naughtier and/or darker side to my writings. I'm not embarressed by them anymore. But they aren't what you'd usually find under my Salmon penname.
