MEAN MACHINE 01/01/02 I'm not fanatic about football films, but this one is really good. The Cons vs. the Screws. What a match! I particularly like the comic "flashes" added by the deranged "Monk".

RAT RACE 6.5
A classic plot with modern day energy. This is Canon Ball Run for a new generation. Fairly entertaining. You certainly won't know who to cheer for from all these lovable characters.
11/01/02
5.5 A mediocre comedy. Some funny parts, but very predictable. If only life could really have such happy endings.
SHALLOW HAL 08/02/02
MONSTER'S INC. 10/02/02 This is one for the whole family. Whether you're young or young at heart, you'll find this animation full of humour. If you do go and see this film, make sure you're there for the trailors, because there is a mini animation before the film starts. I thought it was hilarious (9/10).

LORD OF THE RINGS:
FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING
14/02/02 7 This film is very long. It's a film where you ask things like "what took him so long, the other guy's been there for ages?" and "where do those arrows keep coming from?". I'd say it was enjoyable. Although the ending is abrupt, it leaves you wanting more.
OCEAN'S ELEVEN 26/02/02 I've not seen the original, but I do like this remake. Brad Pitt looking gorgeous as ever. I didn't notice until someone mentioned it, but in every scene he's in he's eating. Did you notice?

THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS 6.5
A seemingly original storyline, well cast. Not as comedic as I thought it would be. So if you're in the mood for a really good laugh, you're going to have to look elsewhere.
10/04/02
7.5 Not quite as romantic as his other films, but this is just another Hugh Grant movie. Overall I liked it, but I don't know how it compares to the book.
ABOUT A BOY 27/04/02
BLADE 2 28/04/02 I haven't seen the first Blade, but I was told the jist of it. Even so I think this film held it's own, and was understandable even if you haven't seen the first. Action packed, but no real suspence. I did enjoy seeing Danny John-Joules on screen again, but that's another matter.

PANIC ROOM 02/05/02 4 If you can avoid it, do. It's a five minute storyline that drags on far too long. The cinematography is the best thing about this film. It's a shame that not even great effects can save this plot, it's just dire.
ROADKILL 11/05/02 7 I'd like to compare this film with Jeepers Creepers, but it's not quite possible. The bad guys is more mysterious than a huge flying monster, which makes it that bit more eerie. I'd say it's a thriller not a horror, but only because it has that extra suspence of not knowing.
STAR WARS: EPISODE 2 16/05/02 In all honesty, it's just another Star Wars. However Yoda fight scene is cool, and I do find it interesting to see how the first 3 films are linking to the second 3. You can see the characters developments.

SPIDERMAN 7
It's the comic brought to life. The green goblin is superb casting in my opinion. A colourful film that'll get kids buying spiderman PJs for years to come.
14/06/02
7.5 If you like Steve Irwin, you'll love this film. It's Steve doing what he does best, with a plot thrown in just so it's not a documentary.
CROCODILE HUNTER 30/07/02
MEN IN BLACK 2 02/08/02 A sequel that doesn't par with the first. This one is built more around comedy then action, and becomes just a little too slap-stick. There must have been a lot of other script ideas that could have out-done this one. It's just a shame they weren't used.

AUSTIN POWERS 3:
GOLD MEMBER
11/08/02 6 I'm not sure this film meets the hype it got. The Austin Powers saga is just being out-stretched. If the film had been made with the alternative cast (eg Danny DeVito as Mini Me etc) I think it could have been a lot funnier.
