Do you ever wonder how to keep your visitors on your website? How to make a nice website where people will like? Here's some tips to making a good one, all are my personal opinions, and personal things I look for- enjoy! Don't take them like professional ideas, and don't blame me if it doesnt gain you more visitors. Like I said- it's personal opinions!
1. Have a neat, clean and organized layout.
2. Provide useful or entertaining contents like games, contests, and pictures so visitors will come back.
3. Update it at least 2 times a month, so you can always improve and drive visitors to your site.
4. No profanity, and/or slang languages. This way, it'll be easier to read your stuff because some people cannot read them. (I know I am bad at this point, working on it ^-^)
5. Don't over-advertise your site by going to people's site and telling them to visit your site. This will make other webmasters feel like you're taking advantage of their stuff to advertise yours, and they'll not want to visit your site.
6. Make at least 5 links
7. Nice color matching tone, like don't use orange and brown and tan or something. If you want a colorful site, make sure it is eye-appealing.
8. Don't use overly small fonts. I notice that alot of sites make their font small, I do it too but then it sometimes is hard to read. IF you use like size 8 font, make sure it's either in black or blue or if you have a dark color backgrounf then use white. DARK BLUE ON BLACK BACKGROUND REALLY HURTS the eye.
9. Exchange your link with other good sites, this way you can help each other by advertising each other's site. Recommend only good, worth while sites though.
10. Respect all copyright laws, and make sure if you use someone else's materials that you GIVE them credits for it.
