Cheques should be made payable to Sallie Maclay. Prices are laid out in the details, the fee covering bed linen but not towels.
Booking conditions (numbered 1 to 10)
1 The property known as Maison Maclay is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by Sallie Maclay, or her agent.
2 To reserve the property the client should check availability by phone or email to the owner complete and sign the booking form and return it to the owner with a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total rental. On receipt of that the owner will send confirmation of the booking and an invoice for the full amount payable within eight weeks of the holiday. If a booking is made within the eight weeks of the holiday then the full amount should be paid
3 A security deposit of �50 is required in case of damage to the property. The owner will account to the client for the security deposit and refund the balance after receipt of the key. But the sum reserved by this clause shall not limit the client�s liability to the owner.
4 In the event of a cancellation the owner shall try to relet the property, and if it is possible any costs shall be deducted from the refundable amount. The client is recommended to take out comprehensive travel insurance and full cover for personal belongings and public liability which is not covered by the owner�s insurance.
5 The rental starts from 4pm and ends at 10am. Please do not arrive earlier than expected or leave later than 10am.
6 The maximum number of people to stay is four. Dogs and other pets are not permitted.
7 The client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the property and to leave it clean and tidy. Although a final clean is included, the owner reserves the right to cover additional cleaning costs if the client leaves it in an unacceptable condition.
8 The client shall report to the owner any defects in the property or breakdown in equipment, so arrangements for repair can be made as soon as possible.
9 The owner shall not be liable to the client for temporary stoppage of public services to the property, for any loss, damage or injury caused by adverse weather conditions, riot, war or strikes or matters beyond her control. Nor for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused or suffered by the client if the property shall be destroyed before the start of the rental period and in the event the owner shall refund within seven days of notification of the client all sums previously paid by the client.
10 Under no circumstances shall the owner�s liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the owner for the rental period.
