Sometimes I never felt like I belonged in the department. I always kinda was there but not really. I almost let myself believe that if you weren't an actor or an actress, you shouldn't really be there. So when I started as a dresser for King Lear I didn't know what the hell I was doing and that worried me. Then I looked around and realized no one else did either. And I figure I was a pretty good dresser --> maybe I didn't always know how to fix something but I always got my cues (except for that one day and I blame it on Dave).
Working backstage on King Lear, in a corny sort of way, changed my life and the direction I was going. Before the show, I was set on going to Europe in the fall, but now it has made me want to come back and pursue something I love doing.

While everyone counted down the days until the show was over with happiness, I counted how many days I had left with sadness. When the show was over, it meant I had to go back to reality. Back to boring business classes and team projects. Sometimes I wish I could stay backstage forever.
