KwAnTAM_PoZeEtrON's Guide to IRC Hacking *** If you haven't already downloaded and printed this file, do it... you'll need it while you're on the IRC chat line. *** *** If you have a Mac, a war script with floodbot, and an IRC program, you can follow the same instructions that are here... otherwise, sorry! *** *** In this text file, if I use the figure [syntax] where syntax is what- ever is inside there, DO NOT include the [ or ] in there. For inst- ance, if I put [channel name], and the channel you want to do what- ever to is called #the_channel (or just the_channel), replace [channel name] with #the_channel. *** *** OK... Here we go. *** This is a guide to hacking ops on channels that you hate or just want control over. This guide is for purely entertainment purposes... etc. etc. If you're here, you have already accepted legal responsibility for any actions that you make. To hack IRC the way I do, it is ideal to have a list of chat servers printed out and on hand. You can find one on the web at: http://home.netscape.com/comprod.chat_svr.html Once you have this, you are ready to proceed. Now, the next thing you need is m-IRC and a script. To get m-IRC, go to http://www.sbcomp.com/mirc/get.html and download it. Then visit CTFire's Scripts Page at http://www.intermotion.com/ctfire and download a script from there. Follow the instructions that came with it to set it up. Now you're ready to run it for your first time. Now you will see a setup screen. Put in your nickname and make a server in the list. Hit new, then enter what you want it to be called, what the server is, such as phoenix.az.us.undernet.org, then enter the port. Always use ports other than 6667. Most idiots use 6667 and so that port is really slow; others between 6663-6668 are usually faster. Not all servers support all ports 6663-6668; try it out and see if it works on your particular server. Now, once you are on a channel, make sure that (1) there are more than one op (a person with an @ in front of their nick), (2) at least 1 of the ops is not a bot, and (3)*optional* make sure that one of the ops looks like a dumbass... this makes it easier to gain ops. Now that you've scoped your channel, choose an op to kill. Make sure that if there is a "dumbass op" you do NOT flood him... he'll come into this later. Now that you have done that, run your script's flood program. Most use Flood.exe by Dr Barado. Soon, you will (hopefully) see a message that says "Quits: [the nick you are flooding](excess flood)". Once you see this, quickly leave the channel, change your nick to the person that you flooded, and say something like "Damn bastard flooded me", then say "will you re-op me?" or something like that. Once you are opped (you have a little @ in front of your name), choose all of the ops (besides yourself, of course), and mass de-op them. *****TIPS***** -- If the person doesn't get flooded the first time, try re-doing the floods, but this time do 2 different ones (i.e. Version Flood and Echo Flood). -- If the channel you are on had a person that seemed to be an IRC dumbass, once you have flooded the person that you are flooding (remember: don't flood the dumbass!!!), use the following command: /msg [dumbass's nick] [your message] Your message should be something like "Will you op me?". If they don't know how, tell them that the command is: /mode [channel name] +o [your nick] Now, once the dumbass has opped you, you are ready to de-op the other ops and OWN THE CHANNEL!!! -- If the people on the channel are especially vigilant, they'll notice that your address is not the same. You might try lame excuses, but in most cases you're sunk. It kinda sucks, but that's how it goes. -- You've probably read about other ways to gain ops, including watching for splits then riding in on the split server and saving ops. I've done it before, but it's really a very long shot and relies on luck even more than this one does. -- If you are gonna write to flame and insult me because it didn't work, DON'T. I don't give a shit what you think because (a)it's worked for me and (b)you're the one who can't figure out how it works. However if you're nice about it and ask for help nicely, I'll be glad to give you a hand in figuring it out! If you have problems or questions, you can contact me at kwantam@mailhost.net or find me on IRC under the nick ]KwAnTAM[. Oh yea, and check out my page at http://www.dodgenet.com/~riad/hacking.htm if you haven't already. You can get lots more help there!
