Leave the M6 at Junction 26. Turn left onto the A577. Turn left at the first set of traffic lights - B5206 (Moor Road) - Post Office on left corner, paper shop on right hand corner. Go on to next set of traffic lights and turn left (Church Street). There are a few shops, a pub and some terraced houses. The church is after this on the left.
From Liverpool you can travel down the M58 to the same motorway junction and follow the above instructions. From Southport take the A570 continue via Ormskirk to M58 Junction 3 then follow as above. From the A580 (East Lancs Road) turn at the traffic lights (right from Manchester, left from Liverpool) on to the road that directs you to Billinge - Carr Mill Road. (The Waterside and Premier Lodge is directly in front of you on the left (from Liverpool), beside you on the right (from Manchester)). Travel down this road and through Billinge (turning right at the roundabout) until you reach a T-junction. Turn left and continue along Winstanley Road (passing Winstanley College on your left). Continue on past the station on your left. The church is on your right, opposite the Co-op. |
