Biography � District Elder W. S. Nicholson District Elder W. S. Nicholson was called to the ministry in 1986 and was ordained in 1987 by United American Free Will Baptist Denomination in Kinston, North Carolina. He was elected as pastor of Kings Chapel of Trenton, North Carolina in October 25, 1988 and Salem Chapel Freewill Baptist in July 13, 1996. Elder W. S. Nicholson is married to the former Brenda Reese, they have three sons, Tony, Billie, Wilbert Jr., one daughter, Margaret and three grandchildren, Byrson Ray , Reese, and Jada. Pastor "Nick" is a native of Littleton, North Carolina. He received his education from McIver High School in Halifax County, Ft. Sam Houston Medical Center, in San Antonio, Texas, Lenoir Community College, in Kinston, North Carolina, Tabernacle Bible College and Shaw University, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Elder Nicholson also has a background in Nursing, Production Engineering, Retail Sales, Management, and Marketing. Elder Nicholson background also includes; Retired from the United Parcel Service with over 25 years of service; Vietnam Veteran (82nd Airborn), former Vice-President of the Senior Choir at Savannah Free Will Baptist Church, Business Agent for the Faith Gospel Singers, Spiritual Advisor for the K. C. Gospel Singers, Board Member of the Board of Adjustments, Member of Crime Stoppers in Carteret County, Third Chairman of Precinct #2 Democratic Party, Disc Jockey on the "Gospel Train" and District Elder for District #4 in the Northwest "A" Division Annual Conference. Pastor Nicholson is committed to Senior Citizens. He helped to establish Senior Citizen's Day in his residential city, Morehead City, North Carolina where he also drives the Southern Pier Tour Bus and supporter of the fund-raiser the Mike Smith Education Fund. |
