| Description: | Ebony is really short. To abridge this, when she
started as a first year, she was 4'4, and when she finishes Salem as a
seventh year, she'll be 5'0. She has a really small frame, but isn't
exactly 'fragile'. (she could survive being shoved around quite a bit) More
like thin and light weight.
Ebony kind of has a triangular face, with a pointy chin and pale skin. Her eyes are really wide, and they always make it seem like she's 'never there'; this mystic misty appearance. They're the genetic O'Riely eyes, a darker greenish-gray color. Her hair is really long, hip-length, (for the time being) And it's pretty thick and loosely waved. A black color, underneath are some natural brownish highlights that no one ever really sees. Ebony mostly wears it in a single, long braid, and the shorter hairs in the front sometimes are let loose by her chin. |
| Personality: | Ebony is normally quiet, introverted, and sometimes
highly cynical. Ever since coming to Salem, though, her Grandfather's
harsh ways have kind of warn off on her a little, except for polite
indirect manners, which will always stick with her.
Ebony's proud, and always relies on her opinion more then others. She's very compassionate towards anyone, and hates to see people get hurt. Fidelity and loyality are high in her book, showing high amounts towards her friends and anyone who requests it in general. She can easily faze off remarks by others, and most often, she practically thinks herself to death with life�s questions and worries. She can be a little blunt about her point of view, and tends to sometimes act stoic and noncommittal. In a bad mood, she can be really cold and eerily calm. |
| Family Life: | *coughs* The short of the long of it:
The whole O'Riely family tree rudimentally starts with Tynan O'Riely, Ebony's grandfather. The O'Riely clan is typically an old, pureblood, dark wizarding family that is highly respected throughout the world and Ireland, where it claims origins in Limerick County, Limerick, Ireland. The kin also claims descent from ancient and mythical druids and some banshee blood. Tynan O'Riely married a woman from another high-class family, and together they had two daughters, Maerin, the oldest, and Ciara, the youngest. Maerin was disowned once she was placed in Gryffindor and married a man from a muggle-loving family, and much later, they had Ebony�s cousin, Calder, her minor by a year. Therefore, the younger of the daughters, Ciara, was left to carry on the O�Riely name. She was also gifted with her mother�s ability, forsight, The O�Riely�s woman are often true seers. Ciara fell in love at the young age of seventeen, with a fellow Slytherin and dark pureblood, and together, without marrying, they had Ebony at the young age of 18. Ebony�s father died three years after she was born, due to unknown causes, and Ciara, Ebony�s mother, died when she was five, of causes that were covered up by Tynan O�Riely. Hence, that left Ebony to live with her Grandfather in the O�Riely Manor to be the heir of the name until she was eleven, when she wasn�t accepted to Slytherin in Hogwarts, but Gryffindor. From there, she was sent to Salem, and to live with her Aunt Maerin and cousin Calder in their beachside cottage south of Augusta Maine. |
| Other Info: | Ebony is a true seer. She never really found out
until the end of her first year, but she did suspect it since it's
genetic, getting brief visions when she was but a toddler. At the young age
of twelve, she started receiving full, adequate, visions. Almost as a
step-in mother, Ebony goes and studies under Jen Dobbins, her divination
teacher and mentor, who helps her control her gift.
In school, she does pretty well in Defense Against the Dark Arts, due to her harsh training in family background, and Divination, due to her special abilities. Beyond that, she does moderately in everything else, sparring Potions and Transfiguration, in which she can be considered�.hazardous. Her electives for third year is/are: Ancient Runes, Care of Magical Creatures, and Medical Magic She's on the Aether Quidditch team, which she secretly loves, and plays beater, which she does well at, surprisingly, since she's in the incorrect build. Ebony is by nature antisocial, but is close friends with Hope, Hestia, Danielle, (due to some bonding and terrifying experience at Baron Hollow) and Leslie, her cousin Calder, and Hermia. *wheezes* The last important thing about Ebony, is that she may be seen often in the Salem Paths, specifically, the Giant Red Maple tree, that 'supposedly' (this is just her author's imagination,) is the center of Salem outdoor grounds, and has a calming effect on her, for reasons she hasn't discovered yet. During this time of peace, she may be joined by her fat, persian cat, Mozipoto, who is comically mischevious. |
