Following the success of "Kaddish", Israeli label BNE decided to take Salem a step further, signed the band on a 3 albums contract and recruited Colin Richardson to produce the album. Colin, who's known for his work with Fear Factory, Machine Head, Napalm Death,Carcass, Bolt Thrower and Pulkas, loved the demo and decided to reject offers from other bands and flew to Israel to produce Salem. The album was recorded in D.B. studios in Israel and the Chapel in the U.K. and contains 11 songs including a remake of "Eyes to Match a Soul" and a Pink Floyd cover "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun". Modern Music in Germany were quick to reply to BNE's search for a licensing deal but after long and exhausting negotiations the deal fell through. |
