Beginning
Powers protect us from the rich and easily bored, the rider muttered silently, frowning at the tall young woman who stood before him, green eyes bright in a face framed by long black plaits. Jumping off-world to train wild beasts to battle and paying for the privilege of probably getting yourself killed in the process - what would these people think of next?
On the other hand, the bag of coins she'd laid in his hand was temptingly heavy.
"Sure thing, lady," he agreed, and helped her onto his blue's back. For that sum of money, she could go jump off a cliff if she felt like it, and he'd have no qualms at all.
Salekaih, however, had other plans. She'd heard of the Dracony Competing Guild - and she was determined to make her place in its ranks.
