The purpose of this website is to promote my uncle small business. The business has enjoyed the great success from the local young community in Jupiter, FL and would like to expand its reach to nearby towns. I created a website that showcased the brands sold and our introduced our staff. Additionally, I created a stay in touch page where customers can sign up for daily, weekly or monthly newsletter in effort to communicate with customer and inform of sales and sponsored community event.
I chose to include product videos on the home page to excite the viewer and entice them to browse through the other pages. I decided to go with a light blue background to enhance the text and other items on the page. Also, I chose red, blue and black fonts to create a diversity between messages that I am trying to convey; kept the color scheme consisted throughout the five pages via css. The navigation links are on the top right of the page for the viewer to easily identify the links.
I would like to expand the website to include e-commerce and create on online payment page where the user can input the item, shipping address, phone number and credit card information. Also, I would like to create a page where the user can create a user profile where he/she can login and place bids on consignment items. Ultimately, this website will serve has a hub for customers, in effort to increase customer relations, and acquire new customers.
