If you haven't noticed before, Sakura is the heroine of the story, as you can see from the title Card Captor Sakura. Well, Sakura was your typical 4th grade 10-year-old; she hated math, she loved P.E., she had great friends, and pretty much was an energetic and carefree girl.

Until, that is, she found the book of Clow.

Sakura was checking around her father's library basement because she heard a strange noise down there. She bravely went to investigate, but thankfully she found no one. But she did find some "thing" - the Book of Clow. Curiously, she took out the book and held it in her hands. It only took her a few seconds to realize that the book was the very same one from her dream last night! So, Sakura naturally opened it...

To find tarot-like cards.

But what could Cards be doing in a Book?? Sakura lifted up the first card, which had "The Windy" written on the bottom. Well, what would any typical girl do? Right, try to say the name. Although Sakura is Japanese, she takes English lessons, even at her early age.

"Wi- hmm... Wi-Windy.... Windy..." Once Sakura says the word fully, the card springs to life!! Before Sakura can react, a huge gust of wind comes out of nowhere and blows all of the cards magically away, to Sakura's horror!!

But it doesn't end there.

When Sakura had officially "released" the Clow Cards from the seal, she had also awakened Cerberus (short name is "Kero" which is "ribbit" translated from Japanese ^^), the Guardian. He, or IT, was HORRIFIED to find that Sakura had somehow lost all the cards!! So now, with Kero's help, the reluctant yet brave Sakura must capture all 52 cards before they do the horrible - bring the ultimate disaster upon the world.
