I Promise

How can I say good-bye with all these feelings inside?
I made my vow, which I left to die now.
I made a promise to you,
that I threw.
These tears of sorrow I cry for you,
but still you wont let me die.
You held my hand,
and guided me through the pain inside.
Why was I the one to let go and let you fall?
How can I prove,
I can't live without you.
Please believe me when I say,
I'm sorry for all the pain.
I can't let you see,
these tears of mine.
When I lost myself,
to everything else.
I was ready to die,
only to make you cry.
You were there for me,
with the poison inside.
You were there for me,
to keep me alive.
Why did I say "I want to die,"
and leave you behind?
How can I say I'm sorry I tried?
Only to die.
These things I'll never say,
because I'll only push you away.
At the point of the blade,
only to end the day.
To be with you someday,
I can put it away.
Because I promised to you,
that I would prove,
I can throw it all away for you.
