Memorial Fund
Student Research Grants
for 2004

Purpose: The Pennsylvania Chapter of the Friends of Mineralogy established the Memorial Fund Student Research Grant Program to foster mineralogical research that creates data on mineral occurrences in the Pennsylvania Region* of the United States (*Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York).

Amount: Up to $500 for expenses directly related to field or lab research, such as equipment and supplies, laboratory analyses, etc.

Deadline: Post marked before the end of the day Friday April 2nd, 2004

Eligibility: Any full-time degree-seeking graduate or under-graduate student doing research on a topic that involves the analysis and description of minerals and/or mineral deposits, the mapping or history of mineral deposits, the environmental affects of minerals related to the mineral industry in the Pennsylvania Region*.
