FF8 Limits


Ok... these limits are gained differently that of FF7. Here yer life has to be near "critical" or mostly yellow... Good thing about it is that as long as yer in that "critical" mode, u could use a limit as many times as u want... but thas the thing... staying in critical mode increases yer chances of gettin knocked out... so careful wit dat...




Squall:
After Squall does his "normal" limit, an "ending" limit happens... this causes additional damage and come in randomly... these extra limits are gained by weapons u get which will be shown in the "ff8 weapons" page..

Renzokuken- Squall runs up to da enemy and slashes the $h1t outta

Once da limit break "begins" lil streams of light start racing across on a bar... press R1 when the light enters the box near the end... this will cause it to have a stronger attack...


Rough Divide- Its like Cloud's (from FFVII) Climhazzard which causes the player to run up to the enemy and commences a "rising" slash which is followed by an explosion...

Fated Circle- Squall jumps in da air and twirls his Gunblade which releases an energy shockwave which hits all enemies causing an after wave of fire...

Blasting Zone- Squall raises his Gunblade above his head and energy extends from it, going into space... he then slashes downward and the beam hits his enemies...

Lion Heart- Squall runs up and launches his enemy in the air, unleashing a crap load of slashes ending it wit a "dramatic slash finish" and the enemy falling and taking damage... the damage is cumulative and this is the strongest of his limits...


Rinoa:

Rinoa will get two different types of limits... but she will only gain the second one in a certain part of the game...


Angelo- Rinoa's pet dog, Angelo, starts runnin in and does somethin that helps out the party... He will learn different types of "helpful limits" only if u read the pet magazines which where the limits are contained... some of these come out of random while some others can only be done when called...

Angelo's limits:

Angelo Rush- Rushes and damages one enemy /a random counterattack
Learns from: starts wit it

Angelo Recover- Restores HP to anyone who needs it /random event
Learns from: Pet Pals Vol.2

Angelo Reverse- Angelo comes and puts a glowing light on a person who has been KO'd... reviving them /random event
Learns from: Pet Pals Vol.4

Angelo Search- Angelo runs in and starts diggin finding items during battle /random event
Learns from: Pet Pals Vol.5

Angelo Cannon- He goes on Rinoa's arm and she "launches" him into the enemies causing a big explosion hitting all enemies /when called
Learns from: starts wit it

Angelo Strike- Angelo runs up and grabs the enemy spinning it in the air and throws him down giving damage /when called
Learns from: Pet Pals Vol.1

Invincible Moon- Angelo comes up and howls wit da moon in da background... causing the party to be temporarily invincible /when called
Learns from: Pet Pals Vol.3

Wishing Star- Rinoa calls Angelo and rides him goin to "space" turning into a "shooting star" hitting all enemies and is Rinoa's Angelo Limits... /when called
Learns from: Pet Pals Vol.6


Angel Wing: Rinoa rises to the "sky" and gets "angel wings"
*note that once she is in Angel Wing u wont have control over her unless she gets KO'd and u revive her again... she will attack wit random magic targeting random players on the battle field... although u lose control, both her magic power and speed are raised a lil... at least the magic she cast's doesn't come from yer stock... whew
