Author's note: Hi, everyone! Just a few quick notes. I know that "Half Blood Prince has made this story obsolete, but I thought I'd still continue it from the point at which I've begun. Also, I know that in Book Seven, we'll get to see a wizard wedding, but as I have no intention of waiting to see it and work with what Rowling will offer, I will push through on my own and blame it on the American wizards being different from the British ones.

Dumbledore smiled benevolently at the woman who sat across his desk from him and offered her a lemon drop, which she politely declined. "Now, madame, on to business. I'd like to thank you for applying for the Defense Against the Dark Arts position, but I must ask you why you want the job. What is it about he subject that inspires you to teach it?"
The woman shook her head. "Not to seem rude, but my reasons are my own. I'd do an excellent job for you, have no doubt of that."
"Of course. You understand my curiosity, I'm sure. Teaching isn't exactly your field." He paused, looking at her over the rims of his spectacles. "Very well. I'll be glad to have you on my staff." He held his hand out to her and she took it, sealing the deal. "Now, what text books would you like to have put on the book list?"
Ruth looked at the dress, trying to decide if it was "the one". It had a solid, v-necked bodice, long flowing lace sleeves, and a six-foot train embroidered with white roses and seed pearls.
