| Vegeta is a very proud Saiyan prince. His father was King Vegeta. he had to be "given" to Frieza as a child by King Vegeta, and Frieza destroyed his home planet (which also had the name Vegeta) after King Vegeta tried to kill Frieza. But, Prince Vegeta was on a mission, and didn't get killed. Vegeta has always been in competition with Goku after Goku defeated him on Earth. Vegeta also got killed by Frieza, but Goku stepped up and killed Frieza for Vegeta turning into a Super Saiyan which was Vegeta's life-long dream. Vegeta first turned into a Super Saiyan when he was training for the andriods.Vegeta was also ashamed when Gohan rose to a new power and defeated Cell when Vegeta couldn't. Vegeta turned Super Saiyan 2 when he was turned into a Majin, and finally had his long awaited fight with Goku, though it was cut short by the appearence of Majin Buu, and Vegeta knocked out Goku, and fought Buu. He ended up having to explode himself to defeat Buu, and he finally fought for someone other than himself, though his attack failed and didn't kill Buu. While the fight with Buu raged on, Vegeta finally admits that Goku's number 1. |
