:
Yay! I now am… a dishwasher??! X.x;
Well,
its more than a week after ninja camp now, and still I wish to go
back there ;_; I’m also still awaiting my exam results, which I
get this Friday; June the 13th. Oh yes! A FRIDAY THE 13th!!!
Let me quote Shiro again on this: “Isn’t that a happy day!”
(Sarcasm™).
I’ve also been looking for a job lately. First I tried the supermarket in my hometown but that didn’t work out. Then, I applied online for a job at another supermarket nearby. I turned down this job myself, because they wanted to place me in a branch that was miles away! That *wasn’t* in the job description! -.-; I also asked for a job at a clothing store where I got this really cool blouse. It sounded like fun, but unfortunately, the job was already taken.
Now
I finally found a job; it’s in a restaurant in my home town. I’m
a dishwasher; not my favorite kind of chore, but it’ll do. It’s
kind of fun there too and I know a few of the guys from the kitchen
(I’m the only girl in the kitchen x x;). I did get some left-over
ice cream twice already, though, and drinks are on the house! ^^;;
Besides,
I now work mainly in the weekends and in the evening. So it won’t
interfere with ninja training on Wednesday eve and the trainings
with Bernard on Sunday morning. The summer training Sundays on June
the 29th and August the 31st also are no
problem, I guess. As you know I do my 9th kyu exam on
June the 29th, but you also have to come August the 31st
if you don’t want to miss out on any techniques…
I’m
really gonna start to paint Aoshi on my door now. I bought some film
for in my photo camera today, so I can take pictures of the entire
process. First off… I have to clean my door with ammonia, and then
I can start sketching. I still need to buy the paint, but sketching
is first step, and it takes some time. I’ll start off with
cleaning and sketching tomorrow!

: My fight…
Yesterday was ninja again. This was the last time we fought with the tesse and the yawarabo; we had to practice everything we had learned before with both tesse and yawarabo. We also did some reaction exercises; where you stand in the middle of a circle and get attacked by the people around you.
And we had to do ‘toughness training’ with the (foam) yawarabo; you basically had to thwap your partner senseless with it on their upper arms, upper legs and stomach. And this great idea came from senpai Mark, of course…
Needless to say, Lelie and I teamed up. Lelie and I are
some of the few people that actually hit hard. So when she was
hitting me on the upper arm, Graham noticed and started hitting
Lelie ^^;;
I have some rather painful problems with my left knee again lately. So I said to Lelie when she had to hit me on the upper leg; ‘Watch out for the left one!’ But no~! She actually hit me in the knee x x; (no hard feelings, Lelie-sama! I’ll get back at you someday! ^_~) And I didn’t even got to hit her on the upper legs ;_; (which was the most painful spot) Later we also got to hit each other in the stomach, but we both didn’t feel much there.
We thought the lesson was over, but because it was the last time with the tesse and yawarabo, Graham wanted some of us to fight each other with the yawarabo. He first picked two guys. And after that he picked Kim to fight (you guessed right); ME!!! (He didn’t pick Lelie because she is related to Kim) In front of all those scary people O.O I got dressed in protective clothes by senpai Mark (who told me to use my nervous feeling in the fight) =P
This was my very first time to fight someone like this, and luckily I know Kim. I landed some great kicks, but she managed to hit me in the head with the yawarabo a few times. My defense wasn’t so great; especially since I was nervous. We both didn’t use any grips of any kind, but it WAS our first fight. It’s easy to watch from the sidelines, but to actually stand there is really different.
The lesson ended 15 minutes later than planned, so we had to hurry to catch my bus. I told Graham that if I passed my school exams, I can take up ‘Jissenjutsu’ (I told you before; its ‘actual combat’-lessons from ninja). Here’s the thing; I CAN’T have my own computer, but I can have a TV with (all region) DVD player AND I can take Jissenjutsu in September.
Exam results tomorrow… I’ll let you know how it
turned out!
16-06-03 : Graduation
Excuses
from my (lelie) part... I 'misplaced' this entry and forgot about it
later on -.-;;
The entry’s a bit late x x; But I passed my exams~! *does a happy dance* Okay, so we already kinda knew… *stops dancing* Friday evening some aunts and uncles came over, and I got some money from them =P Saturday Lelie came over to help me paint my door; she got me a ‘Dragonball’ manga and some money for my graduation (arigatou!) I had already painted the background, Aoshis pants and a bit of his trench coat. With Lelies help we soon got to do the shading. We had to mingle some paint for that; we spilled A LOT (good thing I covered up the floor) we also had lotsa fun ^^;
Lelie took some pictures of me; on one of them
there’s the door (of course) and me posing as Aoshi on the door
does with my tanto and bokken. I also took a picture of Lelie with
the door. The door lies basically on some supports in the first part
(the ‘study’ part) of my room; it can’t be painted vertically.
*Sighs* I *still* need to buy some paint for Aoshi-sama’s skin.
Lelie went home early, because I had to work -.-; It’s wasn’t very busy at the restaurant, so I was lucky. I actually came home earlier than usual!
Well, yesterday (15-06) it WAS unbelievably busy x x; I
hated it! Luckily, when all the customers had left, we were with two
persons doing the dishes. After that I could do some other things
like cleaning forks, knives and spoons, and I could do that while
sitting ^^; When all was done, we sat down with the staff, at like
23:30 at night, and had a drink and a chat, that was also nice. Not
much later we all went home. Now, I don’t have to work anymore
until the next weekend ^^;;
I hope my TV with all region-DVD player comes in this
week, mom already paid a bit in advance, and now the DVD player is
being fixed for all region-ness. And Wednesday I can tell Graham I
passed, and that I can take Jissenjutsu ^^;; And when my door is
done? Well, I don’t really know… I try to paint a bit every day,
but the shading takes some time x x;
29-6-03:
9th Kyu
Today was our 9th kyu exam. The Wednesday before we had training outside, and that was really fun… it was also the last regular training of the season. Mark went to do the warm-up with us; which was running outside. I thought he might got us lost because he doesn’t live in Alphen aan den Rijn, and in fact; he brought us to the wrong field! XD Graham saw the photo of my door that Wednesday, and he was really impressed; I really liked his reaction!
Well, Bernard (from ninja) asked Lelie and me to go watch a movie with him on the Friday before the exam. We went to see ‘Bruce almighty’ ; the movie was great! He also treated us to some ice-cream ^^; We all waited for my bus home that evening and when it arrived I said goodbye to Lelie and Bernard, but just when I was doing that, the bus left again already! I ran and was able to keep up with the bus for a while, but the busdriver was really blind or something; because he didn’t see me! The next bus wouldn’t come until one hour later, so we walked to Lelie’s house to wait for the bus at the busstop there. Bernard took off for his own home halfway to Lelies.
Lelie
came over to my place on Saturday morning, after she packed for her
trip to Italy on Monday. We watched DVD’s on my new
TV-with-DVD-player, I can borrow her DVD case (with 166 anime DVDs)
for the time she’s in Italy! I wanna thank her for that ^^;;;
I had to work Saturday eve, but there were so little customers I got to go home after 2 hours! Lelie and I watched some more DVD’s after that and went to bed pretty early before the exam. Sunday was the big day. My dad drove us to the dojo, and we also took Bernard. We did opening ceremony together (with A LOT of people from all the dojo’s of The Iga Warrior) and after that, the lower exams took place outside. We first got to do warming up with Mark and Sander (my favorite 2 senpais! @.@) After that the group was split in 2; the ropes and us; 10th kyu people. Sander took the ropes, and we were trained by, of all people… EVIL SENPAI PATRICK!
X x;;;;; (Why us? *moans*)
Well, we’ve suffered; for example, we did more than 160 push-ups! Well we had to show basic techniques from the 10th and 9th kyu (kicks, punches, rolls, etcetera), action-reactions (like punch-defence-punch back) and grips (my favorite part) And all that in the heat outside! The exam actually took the entire day (from 9:30 to 4 in the afternoon), but despite the whole ‘Patrick’-thing and the warm weather, everyone passed for their 9th kyu. We also learned some new things. At the end of the ‘exam day’ we went back inside the dojo for the end ceremony and said goodbye to all of the senpais and the kancho ^^;;
Graham
will take his exam for ‘sensei’ in July and start a dojo for The
Iga Warrior in another city, but luckily; he’ll still also be
teaching us on Wednesday next season (I don’t want any other
teacher than Graham!) I
will be missing all the senpais this summer, though. I’ll see them
again next season, which will start on August the 31st
with another training-day like this (only then we will not take an
exam), and after that the regular training on Wednesday starts again
(with ‘Jissenjutsu’ for us, of course!!!).
Lelie and I will be training with Bernard on Sundays in July and August, but of course, the senpais won’t be there. I miss them already ;_;
Lelie,
I’ll also be missing you when you’re in Italy; she’ll miss one
training on Sunday, but will only be away for 10 days. I’ll manage
to survive without her and regular ninja training (read: senpais)…
I hope… This blog also won’t be updated for 10 days, since Lelie
always does so…
