WITH
MADAM MOHIDEEN MALIK BEEVI

From 1899 - 1984
Born in the year 1899 in Kottar, Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, India, as the first child of  Moulavi Muhammad Muhiy al-Din Alim Sahib and Madam Beevi Fatimah, Moulavi Muhammad Hasbullah Sahib was a renowned scholar of Islam in South India.  He married his cousin Madam Aishah Thaminah who bore for him five children: Beevi Fatimah (1), Babu Sahib (2), Halimah Ramzan (3), Fatimah Haseebah (4) and Saleem Allamah (5).  His wife passed away due to prolong illness after the birth of his second son.  Thereafter he married a divorcee Madam Mohideen Malik Beevi (in the picture) who had a son from her previous marriage, Abdullah Jalaludeen.  She bore for him two daughters: Aishah Kamilah (6) and Hafsah Naseebah (7).  He passed away in the year 1984 (21st Jamadil Awwal) at the age of 85 in India.

Moulavi Sahib was an erudite scholar and a master logician.  Despite his ability to earn, he chose a path of austerity and asceticism.  A very popluar and famous figure in the scholarly circle.  He was a point of reference and a towering strength for South Indian 'Ulama.  Even though he did not devote much of his time to writings he had a large pool of students from Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
