1999/2000

July
Elyse Klemchuk represented our chapter at national convention. Donna Budil and Mary Ann Sadilek also attended and performed at the memorial Service for Ethel Bullard.

June
The chapter held a mini music mart at the home of Donna Budil, raising more than $600.

May
The chapter held its annual luncheon at the home of member Mary Ann Sadilek. Gina Magneta entertained with songs for her upcoming recital accompanied by Sue Raye Hughes. We also installed our 2001/02
officers.

April
We headed to the retirement village of Villa Scallibrini in Northlake for our April meeting and honored the memory of an Oak Park Alumnae who resided at a sister residence. Several members played, and sang. We also treated the ladies (and one 101-year-old gentleman) to cookies and punch.

March
We gathered at the home of Peggy Waldschmidt and were treated to a delightful program about American composer Amy Beech by Maryann Sadilek and others. In addition to learning about her history and talent, we heard several Amy Beach compositions.

February
We installed our newest member, Elan Stevens Lange (Sigma Alpha, voice) into the Oak Park Alumnae chapter this month. Then, we were treated to a short recital of Brahams pieces by Peggy Waldschmidt. February's hostess was Cathy Bielefeldt.

January
The chapter gathered at the home of Beth Lopez in January to taste and hear Italian delicacies!  After Philomena Frischberg seranaded us, we took our SAI songbooks in hand and enjoyed singing together.

December
In December, we enjoyed each others company, cookies and music as we gathered for a Christmas celebration on December 5 at Trinity Community Church in Berwyn, Illinois.

November
November was a busy month for us. Although we held no "official" meetings, several members attended Gamma Province Day.

The big event in November was the Memorial Concert for Ethel Bullard, former National SAI librarian and a very active SAI. We hosted a concert by pianist Alan Chow for the Unity Temple Concert Series in Oak Park. The concert was followed by a reception honoring Mr. Chow and attended by several member's of Mrs. Bullard's family.

October
In October, the chapter had a formal meeting at the home of Elisa Billey. We hosted our new Gamma Province officer, Carrie Sirles and heard an ensemble of Oak Park SAI's and friends performing Madrigal works and giving a brief history of the Madrigal.

Earlier in the month, many Oak Park members and friends attended the 75th anniveary celebrtion of  the Sigma Apha Chapter at Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington, Illinois, where many of our members first became SAIs.

Also in October was the chapter's annual Barnes & Nobles Book Fair in Oak Brook, Illinois. This successful fund raiser, chaired by Heather Prince, brought in more than $600 and gave many members a head-start on Christmas shopping.

September

The Oak Park Chapter began its year on September 12, 1999, with aa musicale featuring our junior-high-age winners of our Mabel Biever music camp scholarships--Halley Buenrostro and Emily Hanna, hosted by president Donna Budil.
