but great actions speak to all mankind...." ![]() JESUS OUR EXAMPLE Jesus came to Jordans bank, to be baptized by John, Said Jesus, I must be baptized, and you are the chosen one. But John forbad Him saying, I need the same of thee, Why is it that the Son of God, need be baptized by me? Thus to fulfill all righteousness, now, suffer it to be so, I set a prime example, that all who follow me may know. Together they went into the Jordan, Johns heart oer flowed with bliss As he baptized Jesus our Saviour, the story follows on like this. Coming straightway out of the water, The heavens opened up unto Him, John saw Gods Spirit descending, like a dove, and lighting on Him. And lo, a voice from Heaven saying, This is my beloved Son, In whom I am well pleased, All victory has been won! Oh, what a great example, was the Son of God for us, As He then was led by Satan, Into the wilderness. To teach us that temptation, was a part of His life too, And the suffering death which He chose to die, Was not only for me, but for you. And when He washed his disciples feet, it was not just for fun, But taught us all of humbleness, And the race that must be run. As often as ye do this, Do it to remember me, He did not say to read His Word, and let it flee from thee. For action must be taken, if we would but obey, We cannot do just part of it, and throw the rest away. If we would wash our brothers feet, As Jesus told us to, He set a prime example, For us to follow through. His yoke is easy, and His burden light, Some people may be willing, , and still, others that just might Lets take the Word of our precious lord, above all else in the book, For Hes our prime example, we need no other place to look. I do not look to teachers of men, But straight to the Lord I go, And search out His own teachings, and patterns I must know. For Hes the best example, No greater one than He, Can teach us how to be like Him, As He would have us be. For all of us must judge ourselves, In what He bids us do, So search the scriptures daily, Hell reveal it all to you. But first you must be willing,, to take Him at His Word, And be objective to all else, so His still small voice can be heard. So many cannot recognize an answer to their prayer, Their lives are filled with worldly things, that to them it seems so fair Old Satan - He would have them think, that some things are not sin Hell make them look so innocent, Hell beguile their soul within. But once you give your all to Christ, and daily seek His face, Hell reveal those little sins to you, and fill you with His grace. Hell show you where your weakness lies, And teach you to be strong, And if you start to waver, He will take you by the arm. We must not waver in the faith, Walk straight and do no bend, Hold fast, He said if we would be saved, and endure unto the end. Now, if Jesus taught of danger, in losing our Life Crown, We must all take Him seriously, Oh, please on this, dont frown. He said Not all that crieth Lord, Lord, shall ever enter in, But he that doeth the Will of God, and endures until the End! Now there are some, who believe that one, cannot lose their Crown of life, But Jesus taught us differently, and WARNED us Hold on Tight! Now, whose word are you going to take, in a matter so great as this? Be it Johns, Pauls, Lukes, or Christs - For Jesus spoke not amiss. I tale JESUS as MY example, For He bled and died for me, And Ill take HIS Word anytime, The one who died on Cal-va-ry.. Copyright: Waneta L.
