He came back to his disciples, And found them all a sleeping, So Jesus turned again and went to pray. Chorus So he knelt right down, upon bended knees, He said,my Father, take this cup from me. He prayed this prayer three times in the garden, Let not my Will, but Father thine be done. =2= Peter stood in the public, and denied the Saviour thrice, I do not know this man is what he said. He cursed in his anger when he recalled the words of Jesus, The cock, it crowed, and Jesus paid the price. Chorus Now Peter turned, He hung his head, In grief he wept for denying Jesus, He looked ahead to the risen Saviour, And then, he realized what he must do. =3= A disciple named Judas, was one of the chosen twelve, He made a plan to sell his Saviour dear, Thirty pieces of silver, and a kiss of betrayal. His story I find so hard to tall. Chorus So he ran away,, He fled to the mountains, The sin he bore, no life for grieving, He fled to the hills alone in sorrow, The breath of life God gave, he took away. Copyright: Waneta L. I know youll give strength when I need it, and answer each prayer your own way. Whether morning, or noon, or the evening, I depend on you every day. Thou knowest my heartaches and suffering, You know each trial and each test, Thou knowest Lord, that I love thee, and want to give thee my best. I desire to be closer to thee, as I search the scriptures each day, Youll never forsake me, nor leave me, So grant me more knowledge, I pray. I know Lord, that you are my Saviour, and thank you for saving my soul, You took my place upon Calvary, to make Heaven my home, is my goal. Many obstacles lay before me, Ill stumble, and even may fall, For the balance I need lay within thee, as humbly on thee I call. I need thee, Oh Lord, how I need thee, without thee I could nere go alone, My dependence upon you blessed Jesus, will deliver me safely home. Help me to raise all my children, encouraging them every step of the way, Teaching them to lean on you, Jesus, As Ive learned to do every day. Im teaching my children to witness, and never to be ashamed of you Lord, May they rest in blessed assurance, that your Word is as sharp as a sword. May they ever lean on you Jesus, and draw all their strength from you, As they travel the straight narrow pathway, I know you will be with them too. Im wholly dependent on you, Jesus, in the task youve laid out for me, Ill draw from your garment the virtue, as recorded in St. Mark 5:30 You keep a flawless record, of my life on earth down here, Thats why I am depending on you, Jesus, for you are the one Im to fear. When old Satan tries to beguile me, Ill immediately cast him aside, Ill thrust him off of my shoulder, because in thee I abide. You promised me Id win the battle, you set an example for me, By quoting to him, it is written, and from me, old Satan must flee. Copyright: Waneta L. Snell Written 01-08-78 ![]() RAPTURE: THE TIME OF THE END When years have passed and memories fade, remember your debt that Jesus paid. In youth you gave your heart to him, To Jesus who died on the cross for your sin. Stay true and faithful no matter the strife, Dont turn from Him who gave you life. For if you do and when Antichrist reigns, Refuse his number(666) the mark of his name. Trust God and remember if you must die, That only a moment, in the twinkle of an eye, Youll be home with Jesus on heavens shore, where earth will no longer be home anymore. Revelation thirteen describes the beast, Who is called Antichrist, to say the least. For forty-two months, (three and one half years) he will reign, The false peaceful world will worship him, and hell have worldly fame. To refuse his number will bring torture and death, But, Oh think of Jesus as you draw your last breath. Take my advice, I will not be around, Ill be watching from heaven, with my golden crown. Oh, please heed my warning, what ever you do, Choose death oer the beast, You have the comfortor with you. Youre never alone, He abides in your soul, Remember that Heaven must be your hearts goal. For all this suffering is not in vain, The suffering, the torture, even terrible pain, For God is with you in all his power, To bear your burden of the hour. Read and study carefully, Gods Word gives a scene, Revelation fourteen, verses nine through thirteen No greater honor can one receive, Than to die a martrye for Christ, (this believe.) Eye hath not seen, and ear hath not heard, what glories await those, who obey Gods word. Read James, chapter one, verses five through eight, A wavering faith wont pass through the gate. Count it all joy, in suffering for Him, Endure to the end, for a crown you will win! God has His purpose, His servants Hell lead, Through trials and troubles, and supply all you need. When naked, Hell clothe you, In hunger be fed, Put shoes on your feet, and supply you a bed. Romans eight, twenty-eight, and thirty-one through thirty-nine, Are scriptures recorded of Gods love divine. His Word never changes, His promises are true, Look to the Saviour, Hell see you through. Im very much human and I make mistakes, But I repent daily for forgiveness and grace. Resisting Old Satan is a full time job, Hes after Gods servants, On their heels he doth trod.. He tempted Jesus many times long ago, We have our Lords strength, Old Satan must go. Like Jesus, we too, can overcome to the end, Which wont be long now, until Hell descend. And when the time comes, I am ready to go, Be it rapture above, or of death here below. Theres no power at all which can hold me here, I look for that time without trembling or fear. I want to use wisely my time none the less, Sowing the seed of Gods righteousness. Lighting a candle where ever I trod, Teaching the sinner, the way to find God. And now as I write this, Im looking ahead, For the coming of Jesus, To raise up the dead. Defying all gravity, Ill rise to the sky, And with happiness bidding this world good-by. Copyright: Waneta L.
