Saint Thomas More Old Catholic Mission, located in Lakeland, Florida, is a mission of the Old Catholic Church of North America named after Sir Thomas More, an English saint known both for upholding the sanctity of marriage and showing compassion to widows and orphaned children. We are a Spirit-filled community of believers dedicated to impacting our society with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. Members currently worship at Carpenter's Home Church, where the rector, Rev. Rick Saint, has served as a part of the ministry team for several years. Rick also serves as the president of Saints International, a missions organization dedicated to spreading the gospel of Christ around the world.
Carpenter's Home Church is located on over 100 acres of magnificent grounds, with conferencing facilities and a growing school for K through 12 students. Located between Tampa and Orlando, Lakeland is in the heart of Central Florida. The church was built in 1985 to seat 10,000 people, and was at the peak of the Charismatic Revival in the United States.
In 1993, God used this church to spark revival around the world. Senior Pastor Karl Strader invited South African Evangelist Rodney Howard-Browne to come and speak. Over a period of 16 weeks, revival and renewal caught aflame at Carpenter's and affected many thousands of people and churches. Broadcast on Carpenter's Home Church national television programs, church leaders from around the world came to Carpenter's including Toronto, and Brownsville where new revival fires were started.

One of the most unique elements of this revival was its ability to touch churches of diverse backgrounds-- Catholic, Episcopal, Pentecostal, Charismatic, etc.-- as people put aside those denominational barriers that separated them in order to experience the reality of the risen Christ.
St. Thomas More Old Catholic Mission is an example of just such a coming together. We are building a community that is both distinctly "Catholic"--in that we hold to the seven sacraments of the church and valid apostolic succession-- and distinctly "Spirit-filled" in that we expect to experience the reality of the annointing of the Holy Spirit in our worship and we encourage the use of each believer's spiritual giftings in order to see each member of the body of Christ reach their potential in Him.
