StickmenWarrington IMBRL
Saints Stickmen managed to maintain there undefeated title for 2003. An achivment that made all the players and fans really proud about.

With typical english weather, Sunday morning was a little bit gloomy, but everyone was in high spirits, as this was our last match of the season. It was cold and rain was none stop. I wish I had realised it was going to be like that because I would have taken a jacket. As we arrived at Haresfinch park all the players, were having a throw around trying to get prepared for the last match of there season (well for the Stickmen). This match would decide if they finish this year being undefeated.

The quote from The V Man made everyone fill up with confidence These guys are scary, they have beards and that makes them scary.

Kick off was drawing nearer and everyone was getting ready. Warrington has won the toss and Saints were going to be kicking off first. This was the beginning of this very fierce and very painful match to watch, must have been even more painful for those lads.

Saints Winger Leyley went in for his first touch of the ball and also first touch of the ball for the Saints side, when he was tackled very hard. He was carried off the pitch and both myself and a Wire fan placed his arm in a sling, as it was flopping around. He was finally drafted off to hospital by In Torment In Hells mum and WIGAN HATER girlfriend. Later news told us that he had broken his shoulder but also broken his nose in this one tackle.

The defence on both sides was very strong, but Warrington couldn't hold out nine tries from the Saints team. The tries came from Saint_Me(2), Blobby(2), The V Man(3), BBBW(1), HELLION(1). Along with 6 succesful conversions and one drop goal from Saint_Me "just for good measure".

The Wire lot came back with there only try of the match which was by Nat Ashurst, and was succesfully converted by Andy Hawley

Many players got injured during the match, Kev injured his mouth and teeth, in a collision with another player, who ended up with a nasty cut in his head which later needed stitches. A warrington player had severly broken his finger. But although all these injuries, many of the players, wanted to carry on and play.

Thanks to everyone who helped organise the match, to everyone who helped the injured players and to all the supporters the came to watch the game.
