Standard mission - Chaos have to destroy two imperial bunkers armed with laser cannons
Win for Imperials
A combined force of Dark Angels and Ultra Bloods led by Cliffsan Paynt, and what seemed to be hundreds of terminators, clashed with the Bane of Fenris led by Lycan Garawulf and destroyed themselves in a pyrrhic victory. The chaos forces had a captured Leman Russ which alone took out two imperial rhinos and a predator in the first 3 moves. Luckily the troops they were carrying had already disembarked. A chaos bike unit was wiped out as it charged a line of DA terminators on the imperial left flank.
On the right flank, the Ultra Bloods took heavy losses as they clashed with a unit of plague marines and Lycan Garawulf's
terminator bodyguard. Lycan Garawulf himself took out an imperial predator with his power axe.
Khorne berserkers tied up four imperial units in a HtoH which went over four moves as they charged the centre of the imperial lines.
Seeing their chance to get tp grips with some imperial scum, the hardened chaos marines move in and provide support to the berserkers.
Imperial forces countered with a wave of dark angel terminators.
A chaos rhino carrying a full unit of marines was shot to pieces, killing all on board, as it rushed in to relieve the berserkers in their HtoH melee.
All through the battle the laser cannon fire from the imperial bunkers reaked havoc in the chaos lines, taking out 3 chaos
dreadnoughts, a predator and all but 2 of Garawulf's 7 terminator bodyguards.
Although the captured Leman Russ fired off several rounds at the bunkers they appeared to be impervious to its destructive force.
By nightfall, after ten hours of battle, although neither side had brought their reserves onto the battlefield,
chaos forces had still not attained their target to take out the two imperial bunkers.
