Mark 2 15-17
"While he was at table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners sat with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many who followed him.
Some scribes who were Pharisees saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors and said to his disciples, "Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?" Jesus heard this and said to them (that), "Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners."
Many times we feel we are unworthy to come to Jesus. How could Jesus possibly love me, with all I have done? I can not go to him, I am afraid that he will reject me. I am unworthy. What comes to mind is the movie Wayne's World - "We're not Worthy". The above verses tell us we are worthy. In biblical times the tax collectors & sinners were considered the lowest of the low. Jesus broke bread with them. The very people who needed him the most. Consider this if you were face to face with Jesus, would you tell him "your death was invain"? That is what we are telling him when we don't come to him because we feel unworthy. We are the very reason he scraficed himself, because he loves us with all our faults. Because of our faults, we need Jesus.

We have to stop and ask ourselves, would we break through a roof in order to have one of our brothers and sisters healed by our Lord. Sometimes it takes extra effort from us to show our love and intentions to our God and Lord. We could Fast, or get up early and go to daily mass or just drop to our knees and pray the Rosary. Say to someone that you will pray for them wont cut it. We need to go the extra yard and show that we mean it.
