CHRISM MASS - APRIL 3, 2006 |

|
On Monday, April 3, we celebrated the Chrism Mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral. This celebration is always a wonderful gathering of our diocesan family. It is heartening to see representatives from the farflung outer reaches of our diocese travel hours to come to this celebration. We had people from Ft. St. James, Dawson Creek, Ft. St. John, Terrace, Kitimat, Houston, Vanderhoof, Burns Lake, Tache, Prince George and many places in between!
One aspect of this celebration was different than in previous years. Bishop Gerry accepted Venerando and Rectorino as candidates for ordination. Great news! Both seminarians were acolytes at the celebration and professed to be "excited" beforehand, but not nervous.
