On Sunday, the Saints and Springers locked up in a pitcher's duel, with the Springers coming out on top. The Saints only had five hits in the game, two coming off the bat of Jason Wald, who finished 2-for-4. Luke Schumer had the team's only RBI, coming on a double in the second inning. Chad Schwegel took the tough complete game loss on the mound. He allowed two runs on eight hits, walked two, and struck out seven. The loss was the first of the season and as a Saint for Schwegel.
The Saints took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning after Andy Schneider led off with a single and scored on Schumer's double to the left centerfield gap. The score remained that way until the top of the sixth when Cold Spring scored twice to take the lead for good. The Saints had two men on in the ninth with one out, but failed to score.
