Taking Up Space

If you can not believe what you can not see,
You will never know what was meant to be.
If you can not trust who you do not know,
In the end youll have no friends to show.
If you know but do not feel,
You will never distinguish the false from the real.

You see the words but do not understand.
Your ears hear yet your mouth demands.
Your mind struggles to comprehend,
But after that you just pretend.
But pretending never got you anywhere,
Pretending wont take the guilt out of the air.

And in the air hangs your remorse and your regret.
In the air hangs your refusal to forget.
And in the air it hangs that youre a fake,
In the air hangs all that you take.
And in your heart weighs the emptiness of space,
In your heart lurks a non-existing grace.
