Graduation

They will leave and a part of me will die.
I look on, and away they fly.
They brought me joy and cheer,
Been my best friends for a year;
But now they leave, so what of me?
I cant imagine how it will be,
Stuck here while they are set free,
To be here without them to guide me,
Without their and their smile,
Without the light in their eyes, their own special style.
So what of me?  I will stay,
And wait for another day
When it will happen again, to others,
Also friends, sisters, brothers,
And then to me, Ill be gone,
Leaving my memory for others to dwell upon.
Ill be free, Ill no longer have to stay,
And Ill go my own chosen way.
But Id rather keep today.
God bless them, I pray,
Bless us all, on this last day.
