Terms in Saint Seiya
Saint: a knight that protects Athena.
Cloth: the armor that the saints wear.
Golden Saints: twelve knights that represent each sign of the Zodiac.
Master: man who is supposed to deal with the Golden Saints and also protects Athena.
Saouri Gido: reincarnation of the Greek Goddess Athena.
Athena: goddess of wisdom.
Saint Seiya
Now onto some more light hearted matters. This site doesn't have any bios or info on the series. But I can give you a brief summary. Saint Seiya was created by Masami Kurumada about two decades ago. It revovles around Greek Mythology. The story follows the adventures of five young men who were trained to be Saints. They are Seiya, Shriyu, Hyoga, Shun and his older brother who always gets him out of trouble Ikki.
Seiya's power revolves around the mythical creature Pegasus. Shiryu's power comes from the Dragon. Hyoga's power comes from Ice and the Swan. Shun's power comes from Andromeda (a mythical woman sacrificed to save her people.) Ikki is the inmortal Phoenix. Together they protect Saouri, who always seems to get into trouble. Lord knows how she could be the reincarnation of Athena. Any way Athena reincarnated in the body of Saouri Gido. Saouri is a young and wealthy girl. Her father hosted a tornament and the prize was the cloth of Saigtarrious. During the battle the cloth gets stolen by Ikki. But the cloth disappears from Ikki's possetion. So the saints start their adventure.
In the first season they go to Greece to find the golden cloth. When they reach the sanctuary Saori is attacked and a golden arrow pierces her heart. Now the saint's must go through each house of the twelve golden saints. They each represent a sign of the zodiac. They must reach the Master so that he can save Athena. But the Master was killed and now someone evil has taken his place. That someone is revealed later in the series.
That's basically their mission, protect Saouri. Who as I said before gets into trouble and makes life difficult for the saints becuase she's a baka. But enough of that.
