After laying the top glass, the cut edges needed to be made whole again. This required many hours of filling, grinding, and fairing. New fiberglass was placed over the seams and again ground fair.
The entire nonskid area was then sanded smooth and a primer gel coat was applied. The chance of a perfect color match was slim, therefore, the entire non-skid surface was ground off. New gelcoat and non-skid will be applied to the entire deck to ensure the repaired area was hidden.
The boat was wrapped in plastic and the new gelcoat was sprayed on. This was followed by a second layer with non-skid added.
