Chapter 1: Shock U! A New Senshi Arrives!
It was a glorious Saturday morning in Azabu, Japan. The sun was shining especially bright today. The birds were constantly singing beautiful songs.
Usagi, Ami, Rei, Makoto and Minako decided to have a study party to remember the "old times" and to study for an upcoming Trigometry test. In the meantime, Chibiusa and Hotaru went off to shop and have fun.
The whole gang was stuffed inside Rei's room, with all the windows and doors open. Fresh air creeped in from the outdoors. You could see ribbons of light streaming through the trees. Even with all the beauty and serenity of nature on that day, it was chaotic in the shrine maiden's room. Many textbooks, wrappers, foods, notes and pens took up space on the floor and table. You could barely hear the birds angelic songs with all the chatting and explaining going on in that room.
After a while, Chibiusa and Hotaru came running into the crowded room. They were smiling, laughing, and gasping for air. The two young girls had raced to Rei's room. While Hotaru caught her breath, Chibiusa spoke.
* Chibiusa and Hotaru walked up to a big mansion.
"Touji, I adore your house...", Chibiusa complimanted. "I've always loved big houses. They're my eye candy!!", Chibiusa finished. Touji smiled and nodded.
Both girls gasped as the walked in and saw Touji's room. It was big, with the walls tainted a beautiful shade of lilac. Looking to the left of the entrance, they saw a large desk made of bamboo wood, full of books, papers, CDs, magazines, stuffed animals, and tons of other things. Right next to the desk, in the center of the room, was Touji's queen-sized bed. It looks soft and comfortable. ON the opposite wall from the door, directly across from the bad and in the center, was a balcony, seperated from the rest of the room by four feet. At the end of those four feet were two large french doors that, put together, were onlt slighty bigger than the width of Touji's bed. Touji needed no other windows, those two glass doors did the trick. Their curtains were a sheer material you could see through in a light pink and had a pattern of cherry blossoms in a darker pink, and green leaves. The curtains matched the bedsheets, only the bedsheets weren't sheer. Just under those first set of curtains, was a second curtain in an opaque white. Everyone needs their privacy from time to time, after all!
When Touji, Hoartu, and Chibiusa got back to the temple, Touji stopped them before they entered the room. Touji put her hand on Hotaru's shoulder. Hotaru and Chibiusa turned around to see the worried look on Touji's face.
The moment Touji's foot stepped into the room, Rei flinched. Shocked at what she felt, she looked up with wide eyes set upon Touji.
After introductions were over, everyone drank tea, ate dumplings, laughed and spoke. Everyone found Touji to be quite friendly and fun to be around. After a few hours of fun, the sun began to set. Looking outside to see the setting sun, Touji exclaimed "Oooh! I had better head home! I don't like to walk long walks in the dark." Standing up from the table gently, Touji bowed.

It was 8:00 p.m., and dark outside. You could see three girls walking outside in the faint light of the street lamps. It was Touji, Hotaru, and Chibiusa. They were walking home, still talking and keeping an air of fun around them.
Meanwhile, in a close part of town, a young girl began to walk from the enterance of her house to her friend's house. Her mom opened the door behind the girl and called out to her.
Touji, Hotaru, and Chibiusa were still walking home, speaking more quietly now because of the time that it was. They were just about to turn a corner when Touji stopped dead in her tracks. Touji's body was tense and her pupils became small. Turning to see Touji's condition, Hotaru and Chibiusa rushed to her side.
Standing there was a tall, tanned woman with pointy ears, wavy, dirty blonde hair and deep red eyes. She was dressed strange, with a cut-up skirt in flame patterns, black thong straps showing, and a stranger top. The woman was cackling and laughing wickedly as whips shot up from the ground, wrapping around the wrists, ancles, neck, and waist of an innocent girl. Once she was weakened, the woman calmed down and took a step towards the girl.
"How evil you are! Bothering a poor young girl, looking for some 'Eternity Crystal'!" The little senshi walked out of the shadows to reveal her pink uniform.
The woman turned around and looked down at the two senshi with an annoyed face.
"I'll show you how a REAL senshi fights! Hah!"
Out of no where, a thick, black lightning bolt hit Flame Kinght's hand, sending the whip flying out of it. The lightning began to reach up Flame Knight's arm, but the quick woman jumped high and landed three feet back.
"Minna, guess what? Hotaru had the most wonderful time! We were able to buy things for ourselves, as well as some presents for all of you." The small bundle of energy stopped to breath. She then continued, "Hotaru and I even found out that we have a new friend in common!"
"New friend?", Usagi questioned.
"Who is she? What's her name?", Ami backed Usagi up, also wondering who this 'new friend' was. Chibiusa then explained to the girls about the morning before (see prolouge).
"Her name is Touji. I was late for school, and in trying to beat the bell, I bumped into her on the street."
"Chibiusa late for school and rushing? Well, that's new!", Minako exclaimed between bites of her sugar cookie.
"Why?", Rei also wondered. She knew very well how preppy and o-time the girl was. Chibiusa sighed. She would have to explain it to the group.
"Well, Usagi kept me home begging me to cook her something for breakfast. Mommy wasn't home so she had to rely on me...", Chibiusa explained with a hint of annoyance in her voice. Everyone in the room sighed. Usagi blushed and laughed a little nervously.
"A-ah....well....", she began. She had no idea how to excuse herself or what to say next. Not a single excuse ran through her head.
"USAGI!!", Rei yelled. She was furious, and how it showed!! "You're 21 for crying out loud!!! Can't you cook for yourself?!?! Or, for that matter, do ANYTHING for yourself?!?!", she finished, banging on the table. Not one person spoke. Everyone knew what the answer was. No.
A silence followed. Not liking it one bit, Hotaru interrupted.
"Well, Chibiusa told you that we have a friend in common. Why don't I tell you what I know about her." When the group nodded, Hotaru began to speak again.
"You see, last week was when I met her. That week, she moved in next to me and papa from the USA."
"THE USA?!?!?", everyone exclaimed. "Wow....", Chibiusa chirped with stars in her eyes.
"What I know about her so far is that she's 17, goes to St.Peter Catholic High School, and absolutely loves purple.", Hotaru informed her friends. She had to laugh about the purple thing. She became sirious again as she finished describing Touji.
"Everyone says she holds herself so highly, that she looks like a snob to most people. But, that's just not it. She's hardly a snob, trust me."
"Hey, maybe we should invite her over for some tea or something?", Makoto suggested. Everyone seemed to like the idea. Usagi nodded and said, "I think so. After all, as the future mother of Chibiusa, I think I should know who she hangs out with..."
Chibiusa crossed her arms and closed one eye. She used the other eye to give Usagi a long, stern look.
"You'd better not start telling me who my friends will or won't be!', she warned. Usagi gulped and said, "S-sure thing...". After realizing that she had just bowed down to her own daughter, Usagi covered her mouth and blushed crimson red. Everyone's eyes got big and soon broke out in laughter. Chbiusa giggled and put her hands on her hips. She then raised an eyebrow.
"My, my...what a whimpy mom I had before Crystal Tokyo!"
"Ugh...how true!!", Rei retorted.
"WHAT?!??!", Usagi screeched. Everyone laughed again as Chibiusa and Hotaru passed out the gifts that they had bought for everyone. When everything was done, Ami told Chibiusa and Hotaru to go walk to Touji's house and invite her over for some tea.
"If you walk, that will give us time to clean the room.", Rei finished. Everyone except Ami and Rei groaned. Hotaru laughed at the lazyness of her friends.
'C'mon Hotaru!!", Chibiusa called out. "Let's go!!"
"That's where Touji lives.", Hotaru told Chibiusa.
"Whoa...it's so big and pretty...", Chibiusa admired. She liked big houses, and this was no exception. From outside, the twosome could hear someone was singing.
"Look!", Hotaru said as she to a balcony on the second floor of the house. There, combing her hair was the singer. It was Touji!
"Touji!! Touji!!", Hotaru called up to her. "Over here!!"
Touji finally looked down and smiled. She stopped looked down and smiled. Putting down her brush, Touji yelled back.
"I'll be right down!!" Hotaru smiled. Touji always loved it when people came over. Grabbing Chibiusa's wrist, Hotaru ran, dragging her behind. The big mansion doors opened as soon as the two girls reached the front step.
A red-head bowed and said, "Hello Hotaru. Hey, how come you brought this little lady along? Do you know her?" The girl smiled. Hotaru noticed that Touji's gaze was directed towards her pink-haired buddy.
"This is Chibiusa, my best friend."
Touji smiled again and nodded.
"Hello Chibiusa!! It's nice to see you again!!" Chibiusa smiled back. Touji continued.
"I didn't know that you were friends with Hotaru!! This is wonderful!!"
"Touji sure is friendly...", Chibiusa thought to herself.
"Well, come on in!! You don't want to fry outside!!", Touji joked. All three girls walked into the mansion. Chibiusa gasped. The interior was even better than the outside of the house.
"Thank you!!", Touji beamed. She was blushing slightly. Hotaru smiled. She then remembered about the invatation to tea. She broke the news.
"Sure, I'd love to go!", Touji said smiling. "Just let me go get my jacket, ok?"
"Ooooh! Are you gonna go into your roojm? Can I come see it!?!?", Chibiusa bursted out with joy. Hotaru quickly turned and gave Chibiusa a look that said 'Why did you have to say that?!'. Chibiusa blushed when she realized what she had said.
"I'm...I'm osrry. That was rude of me...", Chibiusa said meekly, her cheeks bright red with embarassment. Touji smiled softly at her.
"It's ok! You can come in if you'd like." Chibiusa's happy smile returned. "Really!?!? Yay!!!" Hotaru grined and thanked Touji."
The three girls walked up the stairs and into a room at the end of a long hallway. There, Touji stopped and turned to face the girls with her hand still on the knob. She grinned and said "Well, this is it. This is my room." She turned back around and opened the door, walking in a bit and gesturing for the girls to come in.
Touji walked up to a closet of bamboo wood, located on the left wall of the room. She opened it and pulled out a black jacket. Putting it on, she smiled at the girls and said, "Ok. Now we're ready to go..." Touji stopped and noticed the girls looking all over her room with big, curious eyes. Blinking, she said "You guys like?" Hotaru and Chibiusa turned towards her with big grins slapped on their faces and enthusiastically nodded their heads. "Uh HUH!" Touji giggled and gestured towards the balcony.
"This is where I was when you guys came over. I love to just sit here and relax, think, etcetera..." Chibiusa nodded dramaticlly saying "Yeah... I would love to have a place like that, but unfortunatly I have to share rooms with ever-klutzy Usagi-chan!" Hotaru giggled and Touji cocked her head to one side. With a questioning look, she asked "Usagi? Who's dat?" Chibiusa turned and sighed.
"That would be my big sister." Hotaru giggled some more, seeing the look on Chibiusa's face, describing her clumsy future mom. Touji nodded and asked "The big sister I'll get to meet today, right?" Hotaru spoke up and added "Yeah! The big sister and all her friends you'll get to meet today!" The girls walked out of the room and down the hall. The strode out of the house, Touji locked the doors to the big mansion behind her. Then, they walked to meet the girls, chatting as they went.
"Touji, what's wrong?" Chibiusa asked. Touji took her hand off Hotaru's shoulder and looked towards the ground. Looking back up, she whispered "I'm happy that I can meet some new people but,... what if they don't like me?" Hotaru smilied gently and spoke to Touji.
"Touji-sama... these people are loving of all. Don't worry, they will like you. And even if they didn't, you'd still have us..." Hotaru gestured to Chibiusa and herself. Chibiusa nodded and added her two cents in.
"That's right! No matter what, we like you!" Touji smiled gratefully and took a breath. Nodding, she said "You're right. Thank you, guys." Smiling, the three girls walked into the room.
"What is this?!" she asked herself.
"No... it can't..."
Chibiusa quickly trotted from behind Touji to the front of the table, where Usagi, Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako were. Bouncy and cheerful as ever, the peppy young girl girl cleared her throat and winked.
"Everybody! Hotaru and I would like you to meet, Touji!" Chibiusa moved out of the way, so that everyone could see the 5'2" red head standing next to the 5'0" Hotaru. Touji smiled and bowed to everyone.
"Hi there! I'm glad to meet all of you!" Touji said confidently. In her mind, she kept thanking the spunky Chibiusa and the humble Hotaru for their words earlier.
"Everyone, thank you for getting to know me and inviting me over. Your kindness mean a lot to me." Everyone smiled and said "No problem". Hotaru got up and stood next to Touji.
"My house is right next to yours, so I'll walk home with you, Touji." Touji nodded thankfully. Chibiusa quickly stood up and ran to Touji. Only 4 inches shorter, she held on to Touji's waist, bending down a bit.
"Usaaaaaagi-san! I wanna go walk Touji home and sleep over Hotaru's house tonight. Can I please? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!" Usagi blinked.
"Go ahead. Pack your stuff."
"Yaaaaaaaaay!!! Thank you!" Chibiusa blurted thankfully, running to get her bag. Hotaru followed her patiently. Walking over to Touji, Usagi whispered to her "I hope you don't mind the wait." Touji turned towards the blonde.
"No, no. Not at all." Touji looked at the two girls in the corner of the room. Smiling softly, Touji whispered to Usagi "Those two are really close, aren't they?" Usagi followed Touji's gaze and responded "Yeah. It's living hell trying to seperate those two." Touji giggled. At that moment, Chibusa and Hotaru walked back to Touji and Usagi. The happy little Chibiusa was smiling.
"Whatever you two are whispering about, it's gonna stop now!" Chibiusa grabbed the hands of Touji and Hoatru.
"C'mon!!! Let's go!!!" she demanded, pulling the two girls out of the room, marching like a little soldier pulling so much weight behind her. Usagi walked out of the room, waving to the girls as they walked off. As Usagi was waving, Rei came from behind Usagi and tapped her shoulder. Usagi turned around to ask Rei what she needed, but Rei didn't give her a chance.
"Usagi, I need to speak to you in private." Usagi looked at Rei, and by the sirious look that the fire senshi had, she could tell it was urgent. Usagi nodded and followed Rei out to the entrance of the shrine, leaving the other girls to clean up. The red sun was almost completely gone. Rei began to speak.
"When Touji walked in, and all throughout her stay, I sensed a very strong force. The kind I haven't felt since you killed Chaos. I suspected that the force was coming from within her, but I couldn't be sure. However, as I sat closer to her, the forced became stronger." Usagi remembered how she had sensed something too, but thought nothing of it. The whole time Touji was over, she had seen Rei inching towards Touji, making her wonder what was up.
"What puzzled me, though, is that if she is an enemy, what is it that Chaos was supposed to be the last of any evil in out galaxy?" Rei continued, hand on her chin and eyebrows bent upward in a mix of worry and confusion.
Usagi's eyes got wide. In her mind, she recalled the horrible day she had fought with Chaos.
"That's right!", she remembered.
"Sailor Cosmos had said that we had defeated the last of evil in the galaxy!" Usagi stood shocked.
"So, Touji, why aren't your parents with you?" Hotaru questioned her friend.
"Well, my parents had to stay back in the USA to take care of bills, money, packing and some other stuff, so they sent me here on my own to begin the new school year on time and to begin preparing the house." Hotaru nodded and said "I see."
"Oh oh oh! And what did you think of everyone back at the shrine?" Chibiusa questioned impatiently.
"They were very nice and funny!!! I really liked being in their company..." Touji dirfted off, her eyes becoming lost in something ahead of her.
"Such a pleasant aura..." she whispered, as if in deep thought. Chibiusa blink and gave Hotaru a look of confusion. Walking up to Touji and and waving in her face, the two girls called their friend back.
"Tooooooooooouji!!! Hello? What's wrong?!" Touji blinked and flinched a little. Looking at each girl on either side of her, she relied, trying to sooth their worried faces "Nothing. Let's keep walking." Chibiusa and Hotaru shrugged, but kept walking with Touji, laughing and joking as much as before.
"Please be careful!"
"Fine! I know, I will!" the girl called back annoyed. "Gosh!" she whispered to herself. The girl had walked quite a distance, now closer to Touji, Hotaru, and Chibiusa, when a figure jumped from the tree next to the girl, into the bushed below. The figure then stood up straight. The girl frozen by fear, staring at the sillhouette.
"Ya know, holders of the Eternity Crystal shouldn't be walking around alone so late at night..." the figure began.
"...it could be dangerous."
"Touji, what's wrong?" they both whispered. In her head, Touji thought "Sometihng is about to happen..."
There was a momentary silence.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"
The girls heard a sharp scream from around the corner. Everyone ran to the edge of the street and peeked over the corner.
"Now, let's see if you hold the Eternity Crystal..." she snickered. Touji whispered to the girls "I'll go get help. You hide here and don't move! She might notice you!" The girls nodded with a bit of uneasiness. As soon as Touji turned around the corner, the two girls knew what they had to do.
"I can't just stay here!" Chibiusa whined!
"Now that she's gone, it'll be a lot easier..." Hotaru whispered. Looking down at her brooch, Chibiusa whicpered to Hotaru "It's been too long..." Hoatru, taking notice to the brooch, asked Chibiusa "I thought that you couldn't transform alone with that brooch. Don't you need Usagi?" Chibiusa grinned.
"When Usagi became Eternal Sailor Moon, and I returned to Crystal Tokyo, mama changed my brooch so that I could become Eternal Sailor Chibi Moon, whether I'm alone ot with Usagi." Hotaru nodded and said "In that case..."
"Moon Eternal Power! Make-Up!"
"Saturn Planet Power! Make-Up!"
The two girls transformed and dawned their senshi uniforms again. Chibi Moon was happy to be in her new Eternal form. The two small senshi then trotted off to confront the evil being.
The tanned woman held her hands in front of the young, unconcious girl and her eyes became black. Out of her hand and eyes, red fire spirits came out, spiraling around the girl, then drawing out a circular, light pink crystal. The spirits spiraled backwards and went back into the woman, whose eyes became red again. Examining the crystal floating before her, she whined "This ain't the Eternity Crystal! Yeah right!" The woman snapped her finger and the whips let loose, allowing the girl to fall to the floor. The crystal fell back into her, but she stayed unconcious. Stepping back a bit, the woman formed a whip in her hand and sneered "Now, we wouldn't want you to keep living after such a horrible experience, right?" The woman grinned an evil grin, readying herself to kill the girl, when the two senshi jumped out.
"Who are you to do such things and interrupt the delight of friendship!?!" The other senshi waled out revealing her purple uniform.
"In the name of the future moon..."
"...and in the name of Saturn..."
"WE WILL PUNISH YOU!"
"Who are you? Why do you wear such stupid things?" This comment ticked the two senshi off.
"I AM SAILOR CHIBI MOON!!!" Chibi Moon yelled, angered.
"I am Sailor Saturn..." Hotaru said cooly.
"And besides, you're one to talk of wearing stupid things." The woman looked down, blushing and said "Excuse me, I like what I wear! It's flattering!" She then looked back up, regaining her normal color. An evil grin spread across her face.
"Wait... you must be those fabled 'Sailor Senshi', right? The ones who defeated Chaos?" the woman mused. The ends of her mouth curled upwards as she let out a chuckled.
"Well, allow me to introduce myself. I am Flame Knight and if you think your punny little senshi powers can defeat me, you are VERY mistaken!"
"Alright! Then I'm sure you wouldn't mind trying my powers out!" Sailor Saturn snapped.
"Ribbon Squeeze!" she cried. Millions of silvery-purple ribbons rose from the ground, covering and squeezing the life out of Flame Knight. Within seconds, Flame Knight was completely covered with purple ribbons, shimmering in the silvery moonlight.
"Hah! Punny little powers, eh?" Saturn chuckled. Suddenly, an imense heat emulated from beneath the ribbons. Light began to show between each ribbon. In a second, flames engulfed the ribbons, with Flame Knight emerging unharmed. Sailor Saturn let out a gasp. NOW she was uneasy.
Flame Knight extended her arm, palm flat and facing Sailor Saturn. A strange, black tattoo materialized in the very center of her hand and began to glow. In an instant, Sailor Saturn was swallowed by a huge funnel of raging fire. After three seconds, screaming could be heard from inside the funnel. It was Sailor Saturn! The funnel spit the senshi back out, unconcious and burned all over her fragile body. Then, it disapated. Sailor Saturn's lifeless body lay still on the ground near Chibi Moon. She sat frozen in horror, eyes set on her best friend. Her mind was racing, paining and she couldn't figure out what to do. She quickly crawled over to Sailor Saturn and moved her head to her lap. She held her protectivly ad looked up at the snikering knight. Closing her eyes, Chibi Moon prayed.
"Oh, Lord, hear my cry! Send me some help!"
"Sitting there and sobbing isn't going to help you, little one..." Flame Knight provoked, taking a step towards Chibi Moon. Once again, the senshi in training looked up, eyes wide and full of tears.
"You're HORRIBLE!" she screamed. Flame Knight raised her whip, grinning with the same evil smile that belinged to Chaos itself.
"Ow ow OW! Who dared to do that?!?" Flamed Knight snarled. Her eyes were narrow and raging, her nose wrinkled in disgust.
"Lightning runs in my veins, fire burns in my soul..."
Flame Knight and Chibi Moon looked up to a street lamp across from them. A shadowed figure could be seen standing atop it, straight and confident. The figure jumped down, landing elegantly on her feet.
"I am Sailor Vulcan, intent on vanquishing YOU!" The figure was now in the light, begining to stand up straight. Her long, dark red hair shimmered in the light as she threw it back. Her deep brown eyes were haunting, and her grin was one of victory. She was a senshi, alright. One that gave off waves of danger, passion, and determoination. Her purple, black, and silver uniform was similar to the ones of the senshi on Earth, but differnt in certain ways, too. Her eyes were angry, her tone of voice fierce. She looked raging strong to Chibi Moon's eyes.
"Alright, Flame Knight! Scram! No one wants you here!" The senshi tilted her head and grinned a little.
"And give up the search for the Eternity Crystal, too! You'll never find it!"
