Chapter 3: Of dumb and demented

            “Venus, use Body Slam!”

The arcanine, being out of PP, fainted as it was hit, with no way to retaliate either way. Perfect!

            Red smirked. “It worked.”

“Nice.” Green told him approvingly. “Well, I still don’t think you have much of a chance, but since I’m not competing in Indigo this year you only have Blue as much competition.”

“Devious girl alert.” Red cracked a grin.

            “You bet!”

Venus smiled as Red watered her leaves, before leaving her out to get some warm, lovely sunlight. Ahh…

This was the life. At least he hadn’t tried any more suicide attempts. What was the cure? She didn’t know, but as long as he was safe and alive, that was the most important. Of course it was!

            Of course…

Sometimes, things were strange, but she was no philosopher, that was someone else’s job. * I just live here *

            She yawned and fell asleep.

Lance put down his binoculars and straightened his cloak, jumping down from the tree he had been in.

He landed silently in Viridian Forest.

A shiny pink Rattata ran up to him.

Lance smirked, as a blue glow surrounded them both. Then, he sprang onto a waiting Aerodactyl’s back and flew off.

            “Hi!”

Red’s eyes popped out in little hearts as an absolutely gorgeous girl with long, shiny pink hair and a black leotard walked by.

            “Oh, hello.”

“Are you a trainer? Let’s battle!” She chirped.

            “Okay!”

            “Go, Mew!”

Red’s jaw dropped. * Mew? Well, last time Poli couldn’t do too well, but I’ll try my best… *

            “Mew, Psychic!” Katrina giggled.

Eevee appeared, and smugly transformed into an Umbreon. The psychic waves just passed through it.

            He smirked. Suckers!

Mew glared and used Metronome as Double Kick…

Just as Eevee changed into Espeon and blasted off its own Psychic, before turning Umbreon again and using Faint Attack.

Mew went dizzy eyed, but then used Mega Punch. Eevee stayed in Umbreon form, using another Faint Attack.

This time, Mew used Softboiled to heal.

“Sorry, don’t lose that easily!” Katrina grinned.

“Who said we were done?” Ash asked, as Eevee shifted Jolteon, using Thunderwave and then Pin Missle.

            Bug attacks were good too!

Mew used another psychic; leeching off some more HP. Jolteon used another Pin Missle.

And after another mega punch and Bite, the game ended.

            Red held up Eevee triumphantly.

            I won!

            Nice! Pika said approvingly.

Well, I fight for Red and not Team Rocket, so there!

Katrina gasped. “I can’t believe you beat my Mew!”

“How did you get a mew anyways?”

“Why, I’m a child of the legendary pokemon!” The girl said dramatically. “Can’t you tell?”
“And you are telling me this… why?”

            “Because! You’re my destined boyfriend!”

            Red sweatdropped. “I’m only twelve…”

“So? Be with me, my love!” Katrina cried, and that was all the warning Red had because she kissed him.

            “YECH!”

While Pikachu shocked her, Red made a speedy getaway on his Aerodactyl. * I am so sickened… *

            Poor you…

“I didn’t want to get kissed! I didn’t even know her!”

            Hmm…

Unfortunately, just then he spotted Katrina chasing him on some other kind of pokemon. It was fast… and a flying type.

            “Not so fast!”

            “Eek!”

Unbeknownst to him, Ash’s eyes began to glow redly as his terror mounted.

            Not very far away…

“So it has begun.” Lance said. “Stupid girls, well… at least this way it will all be much simpler.”

            He snapped his fingers.

An instant later, he was following them on Articuno. It was time to show that slut what she was up against.

_No one_ touches the child of light.

Even if she had captured two legendaries, it had been via Master Ball and no real test of skill.

Besides, she was a Silph worker, not a trainer. Therefore she was undeserving of her false glory.

He would not lose this easily.
