Now what? The plotbunny seems to be dying, and I don’t want to end it stupidly! Argh!
Disclaimer: I don’t own pokemon. Pokemon belongs to Nintendo, Shogakukan Comics, and a whole host of other frenzied, rich companies. This is non-profit, non-copyright infringing fanfic written by me. Take it and you die.
Notes: ** for thinking, which isn’t used much apparently, italics for pokemon talking, which isn’t used much either, and <> for telepathy, which is used a lot.
Chapter 5
What to do now that the Bob menace was over?
“He’ll come back.”
“Really?”
“He will, at least one more time in this life. Lugia told me.”
Ash sighed. * What a pain and waste of time. Oh well… *
“It seems that history just repeats itself, doesn’t it?”
“Hai!”
“Well, unfortunately, that is
the way things are.”
“It seems stupidly boring.”
“It is, in a way.” Lance said. “But I’m sure something will turn up…”
“Until then, let’s find something better to do.” Ash suggested. “Shall we go back to Aqua?”
Lance chuckled, and waved goodbye to the rest of the elites, before the wings of silver swept them in the direction of the Aqua Islands.
Bob would return, but that didn’t matter. Nothing really mattered anymore; they just had to go with the flow.
That was what Chosen did. They dealt with keeping the realm stable, and really, what else mattered? Sure, they were puppets, but they fought a little, kept a little freedom, and they did have their own lives when not called to duty…
It was better than having no purpose in life at all.
And so, seven years passed, peacefully enough, twice vanquished enemies reared their heads a third time, and were again defeated.
After the seven, the Chosen stepped through the gates of rebirth, and entered the Sleep of Death.
They would be called on again in the future. They always were.
Pollution wiped out the environment; the pokemon that were allowed fled to the realm of dreams and were saved.
In the end, pokemon training ceased to exist.
The humans, losing their gyroscope of stability, degenerated into a bloody civilization based on strength.
And so History repeated itself.
Some people seem to have no purpose in life, or at least in Phantomness’s fanfic. Ah well. Like… well, Bob and Misty. *Laughs*
But that’s just the way I write.
The end
I hated Misty ever since the first pokemon episode I saw, which happened to be ‘Ash catches a pokemon’ the one with Caterpie…
I hated Bob ever since, well, the evil fic series…
I do not like Brock for some reason, I don’t like Bruno much either, or Chuck, or Pryce… but if that wasn’t already evident, it is now. *Sweatdrops*
I think Professor Ivy is evil!

Author’s note: I know I leave a lot of fics sounding vague. Well, I don’t like to end everything finitely because then it loses room for imagination.
